Psalms 105

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, cal on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!	1 Alleluia Alleluia.Confessate al Signore, per ch' egli è buono; però che sempre sarà la misericordia sua.
2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders!	2 Chi potrebbe dire le potenze sue, farà a sapere le sue lodi?
3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!	3 Beati sono quelli che osservano il giudicio, e fanno giustizia in ogni tempo.
4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence!	4 Signore, arricòrdati di noi, nella benevolenza del tuo popolo; vìsitane nel salutare tuo,
5 Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders, the judgements he has spoken.	5 a vederlo nella bontà degli eletti tuoi, a rallegrarlo nella letizia della gente tua; acciò sii lodato con la eredità tua.
6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose!	6 Abbiamo peccato coi nostri padri, operato ingiustamente, fatta la iniquità.
7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world.	7 Li padri nostri in Egitto non intesero le tue maraviglie; non si hanno arricordato della molta tua misericordia. E ascendenti nel mare il provocorono a ira, nel mare rosso.
8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations,	8 E feceli salvi per il nome suo, per manifestare la potenza sua.
9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.	9 E riprese il mare rosso, e seccossi; e menolli per il fondo secco nel deserto.
10 He established it as a statute for Jacob, an everlasting covenant with Israel,	10 E salvolli dalla mano delli odianti; e reccattolli dalla mano delli nemici.
11 saying, 'To you I give a land, Canaan, your allotted birthright.'	11 E l'acqua coperse gli loro tribulanti; uno solo di loro non rimase.
12 When they were insignificant in numbers, a handful of strangers in the land,	12 E credettero alle sue parole; e lodarono la lode sua.
13 wandering from country to country, from one kingdom and nation to another,	13 Presto fecero, dimenticoronsi delle opere sue; non sostenettero il consiglio suo.
14 he al owed no one to oppress them; for their sake he instructed kings,	14 E desiderorono la concupiscenza nel deserto; e tentorono Iddio nel luogo d'acqua.
15 'Do not touch my anointed ones, to my prophets you may do no harm.'	15 E detteli la loro petizione; e mandò la saturità in loro anime.
16 He cal ed down famine on the land, he took away their food supply;	16 E provocorono ad ira Moisè nelli alloggiamenti, e Aaron santo del Signore.
17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.	17 Apersesi la terra, e inghiottì Datan; e sopra la congregazione coperse Abiron.
18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons.	18 E ardette il fuoco nella loro sinagoga; la fiamma bruciò li peccatori.
19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true.	19 E fecero il vitello in Oreb; e adororono l' idolo.
20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free;	20 E mutorono la sua gloria in similitudine di vitello mangiante il fieno.
21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of al he possessed,	21 E dismenticoronsi Iddio che gli fece salvi, che fece le cose grandi in Egitto,
22 to instruct his princes as he saw fit, to teach his counsel ors wisdom.	22 maravigliose nella terra di Cam, terribili nel mare rosso.
23 Then Israel migrated to Egypt, Jacob settled in the country of Ham.	23 E disse che gli avrebbe distrutti; se Moisè eletto suo non gli fusse stato a pregare dinanzi al suo cospetto, che removesse l'ira sua a non distruggerli.
24 He made his people increase in numbers, he gave them more strength than their enemies,	24 Ed ebbero per niente la terra desiderata. Non credettero alla sua parola,
25 whose heart he turned to hate his own people, to double-cross his servants.	25 e mormororono nelli tabernacoli suoi; non udirono la voce del Signore.
26 He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, the man of his choice.	26 Egli levò sopra di loro la mano sua, per gittarli in terra nel deserto,
27 They worked there the wonders he commanded, marvels in the country of Ham.	27 e per disperdere nelle nazioni luro seme, e destruggerli nelle regioni.
28 Darkness he sent, and darkness fel , but that nation defied his orders.	28 E sacrificorono a Beelfegor; e mangiorono li sacrificii de' morti.
29 He turned their rivers to blood, and kil ed al the fish in them.	29 E provocoronlo nelle loro invenzioni; e in essi è accresciuta la ruina.
30 Their country was overrun with frogs, even in the royal apartments;	30 E stette Finees, e placollo; e cessò la piaga del popolo.
31 at his word came flies, and mosquitoes throughout the country.	31 E fulli reputato a giustizia, in generazione e generazione insino in sempiterno.
32 He gave them hail as their rain, flames of fire in their land;	32 E provocoronlo in via all' acqua della contraddizione; e per loro turbossi Moisè,
33 he blasted their vine and their fig tree, and shattered the trees of the country.	33 per che crucciarono il spirito suo. E divise colle sue labbra.
34 At his word came locusts, hoppers beyond al counting;	34 Non distrussero le genti, le quali il Signore a loro disse.
35 they devoured every green thing in the land, devoured al the produce of the soil.	35 E mescoloronsi tra le genti, e imparorono loro opere,
36 He struck al the first-born in their land, the flower of all their manhood;	36 e servittero a' loro idoli; e a quelli è fatto scandalo.
37 he led Israel out with silver and gold; in their tribes there was none who stumbled.	37 E sacrificorono loro figliuoli e loro figliuole alli demonii.
38 Egypt was glad at their leaving, for terror of Israel had seized them.	38 E sparsero il sangue innocente, sangue dei loro figliuoli e figliuole, le quali sacrificorono alli idoli di Canaan. E furono uccisi li uomini nella terra,
39 He spread out a cloud to cover them, and fire to light up the night.	39 la quale fu contaminata nelle loro opere; e fornicorono nelli loro trovamenti.
40 They asked and he brought them quails, food from heaven to their hearts' content;	40 E fu adirato il Signore di furore sopra il suo popolo; ed ebbe [in] abominazione la sua eredità.
41 he opened a rock, the waters gushed out, and flowed in dry ground as a river.	41 E dètteli nelle mani delle genti; e furono suoi signori coloro che li ebbero in odio.
42 Faithful to his sacred promise, given to his servant Abraham,	42 E' loro nemici li tribulorono, e furono abbassati sotto loro mani;
43 he led out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.	43 (ma il Signore) spesso li liberò. Ma quelli nel loro consiglio il crucciarono; e furono abbassati nelle loro iniquità.
44 He gave them the territories of nations, they reaped the fruit of other people's labours,	44 E vide quando erano tribulati; e uditte la loro orazione.
45 on condition that they kept his statutes, and remained obedient to his laws.	45 E arricordossi del testamento suo; e si pentì secondo le sue molte misericordie.
	46 E dètte loro nelle misericordie nel cospetto Idi tutti che li aveano tolti.
	47 Fanne salvi, Signore Iddio nostro; e raunane delle nazioni. E confessaremo il tuo santo nome; e ci rallegraremo nella lode tua.
	48 Benedetto è il Signore Iddio d'Israel dal principio insino alla fine; e dirà ogni popolo: fia fia.
