Exodus 12

1 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,	1 Disse ancora lo Signore a Moisè e ad Aaron nella terra d'Egitto:
2 'This month must be the first of al the months for you, the first month of your year.	2 Questo mese, a voi principio de' mesi, primo sarà nelli mesi dell' anno.
3 Speak to the whole community of Israel and say, "On the tenth day of this month each man must takean animal from the flock for his family: one animal for each household.	3 Favellate a tutta la schiatta de' figliuoli d'Israel, e dite a loro: lo decimo di questo mese tolga ciascheduno l'agnello, per le famiglie e case loro.
4 If the household is too smal for the animal, he must join with his neighbour nearest to his house,depending on the number of persons. When you choose the animal, you wil take into account what each caneat.	4 Ma se lo numero delle persone è minore, che bastare possa a manicare l'agnello, tolga lo vicino suo, il quale è congiunto colla casa sua, appresso lo numero delle persone, che bastare possa al mangiare dell' agnello.
5 It must be an animal without blemish, a male one year old; you may choose it either from the sheep orfrom the goats.	5 Ma sarà l'agnello sanza macula, e sarà maschio d'uno anno; appresso del quale modo potrete anche torre il cavretto.
6 You must keep it til the fourteenth day of the month when the whole assembly of the community ofIsrael wil slaughter it at twilight.	6 E servaretelo insino al quartodecimo dì di questo mese; e sacrificherà lui tutta la moltitudine de' figliuoli d'Israel al vespro.
7 Some of the blood must then be taken and put on both door-posts and the lintel of the houses where itis eaten.	7 E tolgano del sangue, e ponganlo sopra cadauna posta, e sopra ciascheduno de' soglieri (di sotto e di sopra), nelle case nelle quali mangeranno quello agnello.
8 That night, the flesh must be eaten, roasted over the fire; it must be eaten with unleavened bread andbitter herbs.	8 E mangino le carni in quella notte arrostite al fuoco, e li pani azzimi con lattughe salvatiche.
9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted over the fire, with the head, feet and entrails.	9 Non mangiate di quello crudo alcuna cosa, nè cotto nell'acqua, ma arrostito solamente al fuoco; lo capo colli piedi suoi e le cose dentro mangerete.
10 You must not leave any of it over till the morning: whatever is left till morning you must burn.	10 Nè non rimanerà di quello alcuna cosa insino alla mattina; se alcuna cosa rimanerà, nel fuoco l'arderete.
11 This is how you must eat it: with a belt round your waist, your sandals on your feet and your staff inyour hand. You must eat it hurriedly: it is a Passover in Yahweh's honour.	11 E così mangerete quello: le reni vostre cignerete, e li calzamenti avrete nelli piedi, tenendo le mazze in mano; e mangerete affrettatamente, perciò ch' egli sia (pasqua, e) fase, cioè trapassamento, del Signore.
12 That night, I shal go through Egypt and strike down all the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,and shal execute justice on al the gods of Egypt, I, Yahweh!	12 E passerò per la terra d'Egitto in quella notte, e percuoterò tutti li primigeniti nella terra d'Egitto, dall'uomo insino all'animale; e in tutti li dii d'Egitto farò li giudicii, io Signore.
13 The blood wil be a sign for you on the houses where you are. When I see the blood I shall pass overyou, and you wil escape the destructive plague when I strike Egypt.	13 E sarà lo sangue a voi in segnale nelle case nelle quali sarete; e vederò lo sangue, e trapasserò voi; nè non sarà in voi piaga disperdente, quando io averò percosso la terra d'Egitto.
14 This day must be commemorated by you, and you must keep it as a feast in Yahweh's honour. Youmust keep it as a feast-day for al generations; this is a decree for al time.	14 Averete questo die in ammaestramento; e guarderete quello die solenne al Signore nelle generazioni vostre, col coltivamento sempiterno.
15 "For seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you must clean the leaven out ofyour houses, for anyone who eats leavened bread from the first to the seventh day must be outlawed from Israel.	15 Sette dì mangerete l'azimo; nel dì primo non sarà formentato nelle case vostre. Chiunque mangerà lo formentato, perirà quell'anima (della compagnia) d'Israel, dal primo [die] insino al settimo.
16 On the first day you must hold a sacred assembly, and on the seventh day a sacred assembly. Onthose days no work may be done; you wil prepare only what each requires to eat.	16 Lo di primo sarà santo e solenne, e lo dì settimo di quella medesima festività l'onorerete; niuna cosa da lavorio farete quelli dì, trattone quelle cose che s'appartengono al mangiare.
17 You must keep the feast of Unleavened Bread because it was on that same day that I brought yourarmies out of Egypt. You wil keep that day, generation after generation; this is a decree for al time.	17 E osserverete l'azzima. In verità, in quello medesimo die, ne menerò lo esercito vostro della terra d'Egitto. E guarderete questo detto die nelle generazioni vostre con ammaestramento perpetuale.
18 In the first month, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day, youmust eat unleavened bread.	18 Nel primo mese, e nel quartodecimo die del mese, al vespro mangerete l'azzima insino al di vigesimoprimo di quello medesimo mese al vespro.
19 For seven days there may be no leaven in your houses, since anyone, either stranger or citizen ofthe country, who eats leavened bread wil be outlawed from the community of Israel.	19 Sette dì lo formentato non sia trovato nelle case vostre; chi mangerà lo formentato, perirà quel l'anima della compagnia d'Israel, così delli forestieri come de paesani della terra.
20 You wil eat nothing with leaven in it; wherever you live, you will eat unleavened bread." '	20 Ogni formentato non mangerete; in tutte le abitazioni vostre mangerete l'azzima.
21 Moses summoned al the elders of Israel and said to them, 'Go and choose a lamb or kid for yourfamilies, and kil the Passover victim.	21 E chiamò Moisè tutti li più vecchi de' figliuoli d'Israel, e disse a loro: andate, e togliete degli animali uno per le famiglie vostre, e sacrificate per la (pasqua e) fase.
22 Then take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and with the blood from the basintouch the lintel and both door-posts; then let none of you venture out of the house til morning.	22 E pigliate uno fascicolo d'isopo, e tignetelo nel sangue, e bagnate il sogliaro di quel sangue, e tutte due le poste dentro dai sogliari; niuno di voi eschi fuori dell' uscio della casa sua, insino alla mattina.
23 Then, when Yahweh goes through Egypt to strike it, and sees the blood on the lintel and on bothdoor-posts, he wil pass over the door and not al ow the Destroyer to enter your homes and strike.	23 In verità lo Signore passerà, percuotendo quelli d'Egitto; e quando vederà lo sangue sopra lo sogliaro, e in ciascheduna posta, trapasserà l'uscio della casa; e non lascerà lo percuotitore andare alle case vostre, nè magagnarle.
24 You wil observe this as a decree binding you and your children for al time,	24 Osserva questo comandamento, legittimo a te e a' tuoi figliuoli, insino in eterno.
25 and when you have entered the country which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, you wilobserve this ritual.	25 E quando voi entrerete nella terra, la quale il Signore vi darà come lui promise, serverete queste cerimonie.
26 And when your children ask you, "What does this ritual mean?"	26 E quando li vostri figliuoli vi diranno: che religione è questa?
27 you will tel them, "It is the Passover sacrifice in honour of Yahweh who passed over the houses ofthe Israelites in Egypt, and struck Egypt but spared our houses." ' And the people bowed in worship.	27 direte a loro: questo è lo sacrificio del transito del Signore, quando trapassoe sopra le case de' figliuoli d'Israel in Egitto, percuotendo quelli d'Egitto, e le case vostre liberando. E inchinato il popolo adoro Iddio.
28 The Israelites then went away and did as Yahweh had ordered Moses and Aaron.	28 E partiti li figliuoli d'Israel fecero come avea comandato lo Signore a Moisè ed Aaron.
29 And at midnight Yahweh struck down al the first-born in Egypt from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir tohis throne, to the first-born of the prisoner in the dungeon, and the first-born of all the livestock.	29 E fatto nel mezzo della notte, percosse lo Signori tutti i primigeniti della terra d'Egitto, dal primogenito di Faraone, il quale sedea nel soglio suo, insino al primogenito delli prigioni ch' erano in prigione, e tutti li primigeniti delle bestie.
30 Pharaoh and al his officials and al the Egyptians got up in the night, and there was great wailing inEgypt, for there was not a house without its dead.	30 E levossi Faraone di notte, e tutti li servi suoi, e tutti quelli d'Egitto; e fatto è lo clamore grande in Egitto; e certo non era casa niuna, dove non giacesse alcuno morto.
31 It was stil dark when Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, 'Up, leave my subjects, youand the Israelites! Go and worship Yahweh as you have asked!	31 E chiamati da Faraone Moisè ed Aaron di notte, disse: levate su, partitevi dal popolo mio voi e li figliuoli d'Israel; andate, e sacrificate al Signore, siccome dite.
32 And take your flocks and herds as you have asked, and go! And bless me too!'	32 Le pecore vostre e gli armenti togliete, siccome l'avevate addomandate; e partendovi benedite me.
33 The Egyptians urged the people on and hurried them out of the country because, they said,'Otherwise we shal al be dead.'	33 E quelli d'Egitto costringevano il popolo, che presto uscissero della terra, dicendo: tutti moriremo.
34 So the people carried off their dough stil unleavened, their bowls wrapped in their cloaks, on theirshoulders.	34 Tolse adunque lo popolo la raunata farina, innanzi che si fermentasse; e legandola nelli panni, poserla sopra gli omeri loro.
35 The Israelites did as Moses had told them and asked the Egyptians for silver and golden jewel ery,and clothing.	35 E fecero li figliuoli d'Israel, siccome lo Signore a Moisè disse; e domandarono [ a ] quelli d'Egitto li vaselli dell' ariento e d'oro, e molte veste.
36 Yahweh made the Egyptians so much impressed with the people that they gave them what theyasked. So they despoiled the Egyptians.	36 E diede il Signore grazia al popolo, innanzi a quelli d'Egitto, che gli prestasseno a loro; e spo gliarono gli Egizii.
37 The Israelites left Rameses for Succoth, about six hundred thousand on the march-men, that is, notcounting their families.	37 E andorsene li figliuoli d'Israel di Ramesse in Socot, quasi sessanta migliaia di pedoni d'uo mini, sanza li fanciulli (e femine).
38 A mixed crowd of people went with them, and flocks and herds, quantities of livestock.	38 Ma il popolo mescolato, innumerabile, andò con loro; le pecore e le armenta, e li animali di diverse generazioni, molti troppi menarono.
39 And with the dough which they had brought from Egypt they baked unleavened cakes, because thedough had not risen, since they had been driven out of Egypt without time to linger or to prepare food forthemselves.	39 E cossero la farina, la quale innanzi di Egitto raunata portarono; e fecero pani azzimi sotto la cenere. Nè in verità non la potenno fermentare, costringenti d'uscire quelli d'Egitto, e non lasciando fare alcuna dimoranza; nè alcuna cosa al polmento occorreva di preparare.
40 The time that the Israelites spent in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.	40 L'abitazione de' figliuoli d'Israel, cioè che egli istettero in Egitto, fu CCCCXXX anni.
41 And on the very day the four hundred and thirty years ended, al Yahweh's armies left Egypt.	41 Li quali compiuti, quello medesimo dì par tissi tutto il popolo del Signore della terra d'Egitto.
42 The night when Yahweh kept vigil to bring them out of Egypt must be kept as a vigil in honour ofYahweh by al Israelites, for al generations.	42 E questa è la notte osservabile del Signore, quando meno loro della terra d'Egitto. Questa osservare debbono tutti i figliuoli d'Israel nelle generazioni loro.
43 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, 'This is the ritual for the Passover: no alien may eat it,	43 E disse lo Signore a Moisè e ad Aaron: questo è l'ordine e la religione della (pasqua e) fase; e tutti gli altri forestieri non mangino di quella.
44 but any slave bought for money may eat it, once you have circumcised him.	44 Ma ogni servo comperato, che sia circonciso, ne mangi.
45 No stranger and no hired servant may eat it.	45 Lo forestiero e lo mercenario non mangino di quello.
46 It must be eaten in one house alone; you wil not take any of the meat out of the house; nor may youbreak any of its bones.	46 E in una casa sia manucato; e non porterete delle carni sue fuori; e la bocca di quello non romperete.
47 'The whole community of Israel must keep it.	47 Tutte le schiatte delli figliuoli d'Israel faccian quello.
48 Should a stranger residing with you wish to keep the Passover in honour of Yahweh, al the males ofhis household must be circumcised: he wil then be al owed to keep it and wil count as a citizen of the country.But no uncircumcised person may eat it.	48 E se alcuno de' peregrini vorrà passare dal suo luogo, e venire ad abitare tra voi, e fare (pasqua e) fase del Signore, sian prima circoncisi tutti li maschii suoi; e allora rettamente celebrarà, e sarà siccome terrazzano della terra; ma se alcuno non sia circonciso, non mangi di quello.
49 The same law will apply to the citizen and the stranger resident among you.'	49 Quella medesima legge sarà al terrazzano e allo lavoratore, il quale peregrina presso di voi.
50 The Israelites all did as Yahweh had ordered Moses and Aaron,	50 E fecero tutti li figliuoli d'Israel siccome comandò lo Signore a Moisè e ad Aaron.
51 and that same day Yahweh brought the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.	51 E in quello medesimo die ne menò lo Signore li figliuoli d'Israel della terra d'Egitto (con tutte le cose e schiatte loro) per le turme loro.
