2 Kings 21

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he came to the throne and he reigned for fifty-five years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah.	1 Di dodici anni era Manasse quando incominciò a regnare, e cinquantacinque anni regnò in Ierusalem. La sua madre ebbe nome Afsiba.
2 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, copying the disgusting practices of the nations whom Yahwehhad dispossessed for the Israelites.	2 E fece male nel cospetto di Dio, secondo gli idoli delle genti, le quali il Signore disfece nel cospetto de' figliuoli d' Israel.
3 He rebuilt the high places which his father Hezekiah had destroyed, he set up altars to Baal and madea sacred pole as Ahab king of Israel had done, he worshipped the whole array of heaven and served it.	3 E rivoltossi, ed edificò i luoghi alti, i quali avea dissipati Ezechia suo padre; e dirizzò altari a Baal, e fece boschi, sì come avea fatti Acab re d' Israel; e adorò tutta la milizia del cielo, e amò quella.
4 He built altars in the Temple of Yahweh of which Yahweh had said, 'Jerusalem is where I shal put myname.'	4 Ed edificò li altari nella casa del Signore, della quale disse il Signore: in Ierusalem porrò il mio nome.
5 He built altars to the whole array of heaven in the two courts of the Temple of Yahweh.	5 E fece altari a tutta la milizia del cielo in due case del tempio del Signore.
6 He caused his son to pass through the fire of sacrifice, he also practised soothsaying and divinationand set up mediums and spirit guides. He did very many more things displeasing to Yahweh, thus provoking hisanger.	6 E menò il suo figliuolo per fuoco, e fece divinazione, e osservò costellazioni, e fece indovini, e moltiplicò aruspici, per fare male nel cospetto di Dio; e provocollo.
7 He had an image of Asherah carved and placed it inside the Temple of which Yahweh had said toDavid and his son Solomon, 'In this Temple and in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen out of al the tribes ofIsrael, I shal put my Name for ever.	7 E puose l'idolo del bosco, il quale avea fatto, nel tempio di Dio; del quale Iddio avea detto a David e a Salomone suo figliuolo: in questo tempio e in Ierusalem, la quale io ho eletta di tutte le tribù d'Israel, porrò il mio nome in sempiterno.
8 Nor shal I ever again set Israel's footsteps wandering outside the country which I gave to theirancestors, provided they are careful to observe all I have commanded them as laid down in the whole Law whichmy servant Moses prescribed for them.'	8 E da quinci innanzi non farò muover lo piè d'Israel della terra la quale io diedi ai padri loro; ma in cotale modo, se loro per opera faranno tutte quelle cose ch' io ho comandate loro, e tutta la legge la quale comandò il mio servo Moisè.
9 But they would not listen, and Manasseh misled them into doing worse things than the nations whomYahweh had destroyed for the Israelites.	9 E quelli non l'udirono; anzi furono ingannati da Manasse, facendo male più che le genti, le quali Iddio disperse nel cospetto de' figliuoli d'Israel.
10 Then Yahweh spoke through his servants the prophets as fol ows,	10 E favellò il Signore in mano de' suoi servi profeti, dicendo:
11 'Since Manasseh king of Judah has done these shameful deeds, doing more wicked deeds thananything which the Amorites did before him, and has led Judah too into sin with his idols,	11 Però che Manasse ha fatte queste abominazioni pessime, sopra tutte quelle che fecero gli Amorrei innanzi a lui, e fece peccare ancora Giuda nelle sue immondizie;
12 Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Look, I shall bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah as wilmake the ears of al who hear of it tingle.	12 per la quale cosa questo dice il Signore Iddio d' Israel: ecco ch' io inducerò mali sopra Ierusalem e Giuda; che ciascuno che l'udirà, amendue le orecchie gli sonerà.
13 Over Jerusalem I shal stretch the same measuring line as over Samaria, the same plumb-rule as forthe House of Ahab; I shall scour Jerusalem as someone scours a dish and, having scoured it, turns it upsidedown.	13 Ed estenderò sopra Ierusalem lo funicolo (e flagello) di Samaria, e lo peso della casa di Acab; e spegnerò Ierusalem, sì come si suole spegnere le tavole; e ispegnendola, volgerò e più spesso menerò lo stile sopra la faccia sua.
14 I shal cast away the remnant of my heritage, delivering them into the clutches of their enemies andmaking them the prey and booty of al their enemies,	14 Ma lascerò le reliquie della mia eredità, e darò loro in mano de' loro nemici; e saranno in disfacimento e in rapina di tutti gli avversarii suoi.
15 because they have done what is displeasing to me and have provoked my anger from the day theirancestors came out of Egypt until now." '	15 Però che hanno fatto male dinanzi a me, e hanno perseverato provocandomi, dal dì che i padri loro uscirono (della terra) d' Egitto, insino al dì presente.
16 Manasseh shed innocent blood, too, in such great quantity that he flooded Jerusalem from one end tothe other, besides the sins into which he led Judah by doing what is displeasing to Yahweh.	16 E sopra tutto questo Manasse sparse sangue innocente, tanto ch' egli empiè Ierusalem insino alla bocca; senza i suoi peccati, ne' quali fece peccare Giuda, a far male nel cospetto di Dio.
17 The rest of the history of Manasseh, his entire career, the sins he committed, is this not recorded inthe Book of the Annals of the Kings of Judah?	17 Tutte le altre cose di Manasse, e quello che fece, e il suo peccato nel quale peccò, non sono queste cose scritte nel libro de' fatti de' re di Giuda?
18 Then Manasseh fel asleep with his ancestors and was buried in the garden of his palace, the Gardenof Uzza; his son Amon succeeded him.	18 E dormi Manasse colli padri suoi, e fue seppellito nell' orto della casa sua, nell' orto di Oza; e regnò Amon suo figliuolo per lui.
19 Amon was twenty-two years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for two years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Meshul emeth daughter of Haruz, of Jotbah.	19 E quando Amon incominciò a regnare, era di XXII anni; e due anni regnò in Ierusalem; il nome della sua madre fu Messalemet figliuola di Arus di Ieteba.
20 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, as Manasseh his father had done.	20 E fece male nel cospetto di Dio, sì come avea fatto Manasse suo padre.
21 In every respect he followed the example of his father, serving the idols which his father had served,and worshipping them.	21 E andò per tutta la via per la quale era andato il padre suo; e servì a tutte le immondizie alle quali avea servito il suo padre, e adorolle.
22 He abandoned Yahweh, God of his ancestors; he did not fol ow the way of Yahweh.	22 E lasciò lo Iddio de' padri suoi, e non andò per la via del Signore.
23 Amon's retinue plotted against the king and kil ed him in his own palace.	23 E puoserli agguati i servi suoi; e uccisero il re in casa sua.
24 The people of the country, however, slaughtered all those who had plotted against King Amon andproclaimed his son Josiah as his successor.	24 E il popolo della terra uccise tutti quegli ch' aveano congiurato contro al re Amon; e fecero loro re per lui Iosia figliuolo suo.
25 The rest of the history of Amon, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals of theKings of Judah?	25 Tutto l'altro de' fatti d' Amon, e ciò ch' egli fece, non è ello iscritto nel libro de' fatti de' re di Giuda?
26 He was buried in his father's tomb in the Garden of Uzza; his son Josiah succeeded him.	26 E seppellironlo nel sepolcro [suo], nell' orto di Oza; e regnò Iosia suo figliuolo per lui.
