Zechariah 10

1 Ask of the LORD rain in the spring season! It is the LORD who makes storm clouds. And sends men the pouring rain; for everyone, grassy fields.	1 Domandate la piova da Dio nel tempo serotino; e lo Signore farà la piova e la neve del vento acquaio, e darà loro a ciascuno l'erba del campo.
2 For the teraphim speak nonsense, the diviners have false visions: Deceitful dreams they tell, empty comfort they offer. This is why they wander like sheep, wretched: they have no shepherd.	2 Però che le idolatrie parlarono cose sanza utilitade, e li indovini la bugia, e li sognatori parlarono indarno, e saranno vanamente consolati; e però sono addotti come greggia; e saranno afflitti, però che non hanno pastore.
3 My wrath is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; For the LORD of hosts will visit his flock, the house of Judah, and make them his stately war horse.	3 Sopra li pastori è adirato lo mio furore, e visiterolli sopra li becchi; però che lo Signore visitò sopra la sua greggia, cioè la casa di Giuda, e puoseli come lo cavallo della sua gloria nella battaglia.
4 From him shall come leader and chief, from him warrior's bow and every officer.	4 E di lui sarà l'angolo, e da lui sarà l' arpione, e di lui sarà l'arco della battaglia, e da lui uscirà ogni tiranno insieme.
5 They shall all be warriors, trampling the mire of the streets in battle; They shall wage war because the LORD is with them, and shall put the horsemen to rout.	5 E saranno come forti, e conculcheranno lo luto delle piazze nella battaglia; e combatteranno però che lo Signore Iddio è con loro; e saranno confusi li cavalcatori delli cavalli.
6 I will strengthen the house of Judah, the house of Joseph I will save; I will bring them back, because I have mercy on them, they shall be as though I had never cast them off, for I am the LORD, their God, and I will hear them.	6 E conforterò la casa di Giuda, e la casa di Iosef salverò; e convertirolli, però ch' io averò misericordia di loro; e saranno come loro furono inanzi ch' io li scacciassi; e lo loro Signore esaudirà loro.
7 Then Ephraim shall be valiant men, and their hearts shall be cheered as by wine. Their children shall see it and be glad, their hearts shall rejoice in the LORD.	7 E saranno come li forti di Efraim, e lo loro cuore sarà allegro quasi come dal vino; e li suoi figliuoli vedranno, e rallegrerannosi, e lo loro cuore si rallegrerà nel Signore.
8 I will whistle for them to come together, and when I redeem them they will be as numerous as before.	8 Io sufolerò a loro, e radunerolli, però ch' io li ricomperai; e moltiplicherolli, sì come loro erano inanzi moltiplicati.
9 I sowed them among the nations, yet in distant lands they remember me; they shall rear their children and return.	9 E seminerolli ne' popoli, e ricorderannosi di me dalla lunga; e viveranno con i loro figliuoli, [e ritorneranno].
10 I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them into Gilead and into Lebanon, but these shall not suffice them;	10 E rimenerolli della terra d' Egitto, e trarrolli delli Assiri, e menerolli alla terra di Galaad e dello Libano, e non si troverà loro luogo.
11 I will cross over to Egypt and smite the waves of the sea and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up. The pride of Assyria shall be cast down, and the scepter of Egypt taken away.	11 E passerà nella tempesta del mare, e l' onda percoterà nel mare, e tutte le cose profonde del fiume riceveranno confusione; la superbia di Assur si adumilierà, e la signoria d' Egitto si partirà.
12 I will strengthen them in the LORD, and they shall walk in his name, says the LORD.	12 Io li conforterò nel Signore, e andranno nel suo nome, dice Iddio.
