Jeremiah 35

1 This word came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, king of Judah:	1 - La parola che il Signore comunicò a Geremia ai giorni di Joachim, figlio di Josia, re di Giuda dicendogli:
2 Approach the Rechabites and speak to them; bring them into the house of the LORD, to one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink.	2 «Va' da quei del casato dei Recabiti e parla a loro, e conducili nella casa del Signore, in una sala delle sale del tesoro, e presenterai loro del vino a bere».
3 So I went and brought Jaazaniah, son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, his brothers and all his sons, the whole company of the Rechabites,	3 E allora presi Jezonia, figlio di Geremia, figlio di Absania e i suoi fratelli e tutti i suoi figli e tutto il casato dei Recabiti
4 into the house of the LORD, to the room of the sons of Hanan, son of Igdaliah, the man of God, next to the princes' room, above the room of Maaseiah, son of Shallum, keeper of the doorway.	4 e li condussi nella casa del Signore, nella sala del tesoro dei figli di Anan, figlio di Jegedelia, uomo di Dio, che era contigua alla sala del tesoro dei principi, sopra la tesoreria di Maasia, figlio di Sellum, che era custode del vestibolo.
5 I set before these Rechabite men bowls full of wine and offered them cups to drink the wine.	5 E feci presentare davanti ai figli del casato dei Recabiti coppe piene di vino, e calici e dissi: «Ecco del vino, bevete!».
6 "We do not drink wine," they said to me: "Jonadab, Rechab's son, our father, forbade us in these words: 'Neither you nor your children shall ever drink wine.	6 «No», risposero «noi non beviamo vino, perchè Jonadab, figlio di Recab, nostro progenitore, ci fece un comandamento dicendo: - non berrete vino nè voi nè i vostri figli in perpetuo,
7 Build no house and sow no seed; neither plant nor own a vineyard. You shall dwell in tents all your life, so that you may live long on the earth where you are wayfarers.'	7 e non vi fabbricherete case e non avrete campi seminativi e non pianterete vigne e non ne possederete, ma abiterete sotto le tende durante tutti i vostri giorni sulla faccia di quella terra per la quale andate peregrinando.-
8 Now we have heeded Jonadab, Rechab's son, our father, in all his prohibitions. All our lives we have not drunk wine, neither we, nor our wives, nor our sons, nor our daughters.	8 E noi siamo stati obbedienti alla voce di Jonadab, figlio di Recab, nostro progenitore, in tutto quello che ci aveva comandato, in guisa che non abbiamo bevuto vino durante tutti i nostri giorni, nè noi, nè le nostre donne, nè i nostri figliuoli e le nostre figliuole;
9 We build no houses to live in; we own no vineyards or fields or crops,	9 non fabbricato case per abitarvi e vigne e campi e seminati non ne abbiam avuti,
10 and we live in tents; we obediently do everything our father Jonadab commanded us.	10 ma abbiamo abitato sotto le tende e siamo rimasti obbedienti, facendo in tutto come ci aveva comandato il nostro padre Jonadab.
11 But when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, invaded this land, we decided to come into Jerusalem to escape the army of the Chaldeans and the army of Aram; that is why we are now living in Jerusalem."	11 E quando Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia arrivò nel nostro paese, abbiamo detto: - Venite, ritiriamoci in Gerusalemme davanti all'esercito dei Caldei e davanti all'esercito della Siria; - e così siamo rimasti in Gerusalemme».
12 Then this word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:	12 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia, dicendogli:
13 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Go, say to the men of Judah and to the citizens of Jerusalem: Will you not take correction and obey my words? says the LORD.	13 «Così dice il Signore degli eserciti il Dio d'Israele: - Va', e dirai agli uomini di Giuda e agli abitanti di Gerusalemme: "Non prenderete voi da questi lezione per obbedire alle mie parole" dice il Signore? -
14 The advice of Jonadab, Rechab's son, by which he forbade his children to drink wine, has been followed: to this day they have not drunk it; they obeyed their father's command. Me, however, you have not obeyed, although I spoke to you untiringly and insistently.	14 Le parole di Jonadab figlio di Recab, sì che hanno avuto effetto; ordinò ai suoi figli di non bere mai vino e sino ad oggi non ne hanno mai bevuto, obbedienti sempre all'ordine del loro padre: io invece ho parlato a voi, facendomi premura ogni giorno e parlando, e non mi avete ascoltato.
15 I kept sending you all my servants the prophets, telling you to turn back, all of you, from your evil way; to reform your conduct, and not follow strange gods or serve them, if you would remain on the land which I gave you and your fathers; but you did not heed me or obey me.	15 Ho mandato a voi tutti quei miei servi, i profeti, facendomi premura per tempo e mandando e dicendo: - Ravvedetevi dalla vostra pessima via e ritornate a migliori sentimenti e non andate dietro agli dèi stranieri e non li adorate, e abiterete quella terra che ho dato a voi e ai padri vostri; ma voi non mi avete prestato orecchio, nè dato ascolto.
16 Yes, the children of Jonadab, Rechab's son, observed the command which their father laid on them; but this people does not obey me!	16 I figli di Jonadab, figlio di Recab, hanno bene mantenuto il comandamento del loro padre, ad essi dato, e cotesto popolo a me non ha dato ascolto.-
17 Now, therefore, says the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel: I will bring upon Judah and all the citizens of Jerusalem every evil that I threatened; because when I spoke they did not obey, when I called they did not answer.	17 Perciò, così dice il Signore degli eserciti il Dio d'Israele: - Ecco che io farò piombare sopra Giuda e sopra tutti gli abitanti di Gerusalemme tutte le sciagure che ho pronunciate contro di loro, perchè ho rivolto la mia parola ad essi e non mi hanno dato ascolto, li ho chiamati e non mi hanno risposto -».
18 But to the company of the Rechabites Jeremiah said: Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Since you have obeyed the command of Jonadab, your father, kept all his commands and done everything he commanded you,	18 Ma al casato dei Recabiti, Geremia disse: «Così dice il Signore degli eserciti il Dio d'Israele: - Perchè avete obbedito all'ordine di Jonadab vostro padre e avete fatto tesoro di tutte le sue raccomandazioni e avete messo in pratica tutto quello che vi aveva comandato,
19 thus therefore says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Never shall there fail to be a descendant of Jonadab, Rechab's son, standing in my service.	19 perciò, così dice il Signore degli eserciti il Dio d'Israele: "Mai verrà a mancare dalla stirpe di Jonadab, figlio di Recab, uomo che stia nel mio cospetto in perpetuo"-».
