LXX	NEW JERUSALEM
1 και ιησους πρεσβυτερος προβεβηκως των ημερων και ειπεν κυριος προς ιησουν συ προβεβηκας των ημερων και η γη υπολελειπται πολλη εις κληρονομιαν	1 Now Joshua had grown old and advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, 'You are now old andadvanced in years, yet there is stil a great deal of territory left to be taken possession of.
2 και αυτη η γη η καταλελειμμενη ορια φυλιστιιμ ο γεσιρι και ο χαναναιος	2 This is al the territory left: 'Al the districts of the Philistines and the whole country of the Geshurites;
3 απο της αοικητου της κατα προσωπον αιγυπτου εως των οριων ακκαρων εξ ευωνυμων των χαναναιων προσλογιζεται ταις πεντε σατραπειαις των φυλιστιιμ τω γαζαιω και τω αζωτιω και τω ασκαλωνιτη και τω γεθθαιω και τω ακκαρωνιτη και τω ευαιω	3 from the Shihor, facing Egypt, to the frontier of Ekron in the north, is reckoned as Canaanite territory.The five rulers of the Philistines have their seats at Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron, respectively; theAvvites are in
4 εκ θαιμαν και παση γη χανααν εναντιον γαζης και οι σιδωνιοι εως αφεκ εως των οριων των αμορραιων	4 the south. The entire territory of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongs to the Sidonians, as far asAphekah and as far as the frontier of the Amorites;
5 και πασαν την γην γαβλι φυλιστιιμ και παντα τον λιβανον απο ανατολων ηλιου απο γαλγαλ υπο το ορος το αερμων εως της εισοδου εμαθ	5 and then the country of the Gebalites with the entire Lebanon eastwards from Baal-Gad at the foot ofMount Hermon to the Pass of Hamath.
6 πας ο κατοικων την ορεινην απο του λιβανου εως της μασερεφωθμαιμ παντας τους σιδωνιους εγω αυτους εξολεθρευσω απο προσωπου ισραηλ αλλα διαδος αυτην εν κληρω τω ισραηλ ον τροπον σοι ενετειλαμην	6 'All who live in the highlands from the Lebanon to Misrephoth in the west -- al the Sidonians -- I myselfshall dispossess before the Israelites. Al you have to do is to distribute the territory as a heritage for theIsraelites as I have ordered you.
7 και νυν μερισον την γην ταυτην εν κληρονομια ταις εννεα φυλαις και τω ημισει φυλης μανασση απο του ιορδανου εως της θαλασσης της μεγαλης κατα δυσμας ηλιου δωσεις αυτην η θαλασσα η μεγαλη οριει	7 The time has come to divide this territory as a heritage between the nine tribes and the half-tribe ofManasseh: from the Jordan as far as the Great Sea in the west, you must give it them; the Great Sea wil betheir limit.'
8 ταις δε δυο φυλαις και τω ημισει φυλης μανασση τω ρουβην και τω γαδ εδωκεν μωυσης εν τω περαν του ιορδανου κατ' ανατολας ηλιου δεδωκεν αυτην μωυσης ο παις κυριου	8 As regards the other half-tribe of Manasseh, this and the Reubenites and Gadites had already receivedtheir heritage, given them by Moses on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, the one which Moses, servant ofYahweh, had already given them:
9 απο αροηρ η εστιν επι του χειλους χειμαρρου αρνων και την πολιν την εν μεσω της φαραγγος και πασαν την μισωρ απο μαιδαβα εως δαιβαν	9 The country onwards from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the town in the bottom of theval ey and the entire tableland from Medeba to Dibon;
10 πασας τας πολεις σηων βασιλεως αμορραιων ος εβασιλευσεν εν εσεβων εως των οριων υιων αμμων	10 al the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reigned in Heshbon, to the frontier of theAmmonites;
11 και την γαλααδιτιδα και τα ορια γεσιρι και του μαχατι παν ορος αερμων και πασαν την βασανιτιν εως σελχα	11 then Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites with the whole Hermon range and thewhole of Bashan as far as Salecah;
12 πασαν την βασιλειαν ωγ εν τη βασανιτιδι ος εβασιλευσεν εν ασταρωθ και εν εδραιν ουτος κατελειφθη απο των γιγαντων και επαταξεν αυτον μωυσης και εξωλεθρευσεν	12 and in Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, and was the lastof the survivors of the Rephaim. Moses had conquered and dispossessed these two kings.
13 και ουκ εξωλεθρευσαν οι υιοι ισραηλ τον γεσιρι και τον μαχατι και τον χαναναιον και κατωκει βασιλευς γεσιρι και ο μαχατι εν τοις υιοις ισραηλ εως της σημερον ημερας	13 The Israelites did not, however, dispossess either the Geshurites or the Maacathites, hence Geshurand Maacah survive inside Israel even today.
14 πλην της φυλης λευι ουκ εδοθη κληρονομια κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ ουτος αυτων κληρονομια καθα ειπεν αυτοις κυριος και ουτος ο καταμερισμος ον κατεμερισεν μωυσης τοις υιοις ισραηλ εν αραβωθ μωαβ εν τω περαν του ιορδανου κατα ιεριχω	14 To the tribe of Levi alone no heritage was given; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, as he hadtold him.
15 και εδωκεν μωυσης τη φυλη ρουβην κατα δημους αυτων	15 Moses had given the tribe of the sons of Reuben a share by clans.
16 και εγενηθη αυτων τα ορια απο αροηρ η εστιν κατα προσωπον φαραγγος αρνων και η πολις η εν τη φαραγγι αρνων και πασαν την μισωρ	16 Thus, their territory was the entire tableland from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the townin the bottom of the val ey, as far as Medeba,
17 εως εσεβων και πασας τας πολεις τας ουσας εν τη μισωρ και δαιβων και βαμωθβααλ και οικου βεελμων	17 Heshbon with all the towns on the tableland: Dibon, Bamoth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,
18 και ιασσα και κεδημωθ και μεφααθ	18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
19 και καριαθαιμ και σεβαμα και σεραδα και σιωρ εν τω ορει εμακ	19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah and, in the highlands of the Arabah, Zereth-Shahar;
20 και βαιθφογωρ και ασηδωθ φασγα και βαιθασιμωθ	20 Beth-Peor, the watered foothills of Mount Pisgah, Beth-ha-Jeshimoth,
21 και πασας τας πολεις του μισωρ και πασαν την βασιλειαν του σηων βασιλεως των αμορραιων ον επαταξεν μωυσης αυτον και τους ηγουμενους μαδιαμ και τον ευι και τον ροκομ και τον σουρ και τον ουρ και τον ροβε αρχοντας παρα σηων και τους κατοικουντας την γην	21 al the towns on the tableland and the entire kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reignedin Heshbon; he had been defeated by Moses, and with him the princes of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur andReba, vassals of Sihon, formerly living in the country.
22 και τον βαλααμ τον του βεωρ τον μαντιν απεκτειναν εν τη ροπη	22 As regards Balaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the Israelites had put him to the sword with thosewhom they had kil ed.
23 εγενετο δε τα ορια ρουβην ιορδανης οριον αυτη η κληρονομια υιων ρουβην κατα δημους αυτων αι πολεις αυτων και αι επαυλεις αυτων	23 The boundary of the Reubenites was the Jordan and its territory. Such was the heritage of the sons ofReuben, by clans, with the towns and vil ages belonging to them.
24 εδωκεν δε μωυσης τοις υιοις γαδ κατα δημους αυτων	24 Moses had given the tribe of Gad, the sons of Gad, a share by clans.
25 και εγενετο τα ορια αυτων ιαζηρ πασαι αι πολεις γαλααδ και το ημισυ γης υιων αμμων εως αροηρ η εστιν κατα προσωπον ραββα	25 Their territory was Jazer, al the towns of Gilead, half the country of the Ammonites as far as Aroerfacing Rabbah,
26 και απο εσεβων εως ραμωθ κατα την μασσηφα και βοτανιν και μααναιν εως των οριων δαβιρ	26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh and Betonim; from Mahanaim as far as the territory of Lo-Debar,
27 και εν εμεκ βαιθαραμ και βαιθαναβρα και σοκχωθα και σαφαν και την λοιπην βασιλειαν σηων βασιλεως εσεβων και ο ιορδανης οριει εως μερους της θαλασσης χενερεθ περαν του ιορδανου απ' ανατολων	27 and in the val ey: Beth-Haram, Beth-Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon -- the rest of the kingdom of Sihonking of Heshbon -- the Jordan and the territory running to the tip of the Sea of Chinneroth, on the further, easternside of the Jordan.
28 αυτη η κληρονομια υιων γαδ κατα δημους αυτων αι πολεις αυτων και αι επαυλεις αυτων	28 Such was the heritage of the sons of Gad, by clans, with their towns and vil ages belonging to them.
29 και εδωκεν μωυσης τω ημισει φυλης μανασση κατα δημους αυτων	29 Moses had given the half-tribe of Manasseh a share by clans.
30 και εγενετο τα ορια αυτων απο μααναιμ και πασα βασιλεια βασανι και πασα βασιλεια ωγ βασιλεως βασαν και πασας τας κωμας ιαιρ αι εισιν εν τη βασανιτιδι εξηκοντα πολεις	30 Their territory, starting from Mahanaim, was the whole of Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king ofBashan, all the Encampments of Jair in Bashan: sixty towns.
31 και το ημισυ της γαλααδ και εν ασταρωθ και εν εδραιν πολεις βασιλειας ωγ εν βασανιτιδι και εδοθησαν τοις υιοις μαχιρ υιου μανασση και τοις ημισεσιν υιοις μαχιρ υιου μανασση κατα δημους αυτων	31 Half of Gilead, with Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan, were al otted to the sons ofMachir son of Manasseh, to half of the sons of Machir, by clans.
32 ουτοι ους κατεκληρονομησεν μωυσης περαν του ιορδανου εν αραβωθ μωαβ εν τω περαν του ιορδανου κατα ιεριχω απο ανατολων	32 This was what Moses had conferred in heritage on the Plains of Moab on the further, eastern side ofthe Jordan opposite Jericho.
	33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses gave no heritage; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, ashe had told him.
