Jeremiah 28

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,	1 Cette même année, au début du règne de Sédécias, roi de Juda, la quatrième année, au cinquièmemois, le prophète Hananya, fils de Azzur, originaire de Gabaôn, parla ainsi à Jérémie dans le Temple de Yahvé,en présence des prêtres et de tout le peuple:
2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.	2 "Ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot, le Dieu d'Israël. J'ai brisé le joug du roi de Babylone!
3 Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:	3 Encore juste deux ans, et je ferai revenir en ce lieu tous les ustensiles du Temple de Yahvé queNabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, a enlevés d'ici pour les emporter à Babylone.
4 And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.	4 De même Jékonias, fils de Joiaqim, roi de Juda, avec tous les déportés de Juda qui sont allés àBabylone, je les ferai revenir ici - oracle de Yahvé - car je vais briser le joug du roi de Babylone!"
5 Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,	5 Alors le prophète Jérémie répondit au prophète Hananya, devant les prêtres et tout le peupleprésents dans le Temple de Yahvé.
6 Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.	6 Le prophète Jérémie dit: "Amen! Qu'ainsi fasse Yahvé! Qu'il accomplisse les paroles que tu viensde prophétiser et fasse revenir de Babylone tous les ustensiles du Temple de Yahvé ainsi que tous les déportés.
7 Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;	7 Cependant, écoute bien la parole que je vais prononcer à tes oreilles et à celles de tout le peuple:
8 The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.	8 Les prophètes qui nous ont précédés, toi et moi, depuis bien longtemps, ont prophétisé, pourbeaucoup de pays et pour des royaumes considérables, la guerre, le malheur et la peste;
9 The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.	9 le prophète qui prophétise la paix, c'est quand s'accomplit sa parole qu'on le reconnaît pour unauthentique envoyé de Yahvé!"
10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.	10 Alors le prophète Hananya enleva le joug de la nuque du prophète Jérémie et le brisa.
11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.	11 Et Hananya dit, devant tout le peuple: "Ainsi parle Yahvé. C'est de cette façon que dans justedeux ans je briserai le joug de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, l'enlevant de la nuque de toutes les nations." Etle prophète Jérémie s'en alla.
12 Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,	12 Or après que le prophète Hananya eût brisé le joug qu'il avait enlevé de la nuque du prophèteJérémie, la parole de Yahvé fut adressée à Jérémie:
13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.	13 "Va dire à Hananya: Ainsi parle Yahvé. Tu brises les jougs de bois? Eh bien! Tu va les remplacerpar des jougs de fer!
14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.	14 Car ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot, le Dieu d'Israël: C'est un joug de fer que je mets sur la nuque detoutes ces nations, pour les asservir à Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone. (Elles lui seront asservies et je lui ailivré même les bêtes des champs.)"
15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.	15 Et le prophète Jérémie dit au prophète Hananya: "Ecoute bien, Hananya: Yahvé ne t'a pointenvoyé et tu as fait que ce peuple se confie au mensonge.
16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.	16 C'est pourquoi, ainsi parle Yahvé. Voici que je te renvoie de la face de la terre: cette année tumourras (car tu as prêché la révolte contre Yahvé").
17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.	17 Et le prophète Hananya mourut cette année même, au septième mois.
