1 Ezért még inkább figyelnünk kell mindarra, amit hallottunk, hogy valamiképpen el ne sodródjunk.	1 For this reason, it is necessary for us to observe more thoroughly the things that we have heard, lest we let them slip away.
2 Mert ha már az angyalok által hirdetett ige is olyan hatalmas volt, hogy minden bűn és engedetlenség elnyerte igazságos, megérdemelt büntetését,	2 For if a word that was spoken through the Angels has been made firm, and every transgression and disobedience has received the recompense of a just retribution,

7 Kevéssel tetted őt kisebbé az angyaloknál; dicsőséggel és tisztelettel koronáztad,	7 You have reduced him to a little less than the Angels. You have crowned him with glory and honor, and you have set him over the works of your hands.
8 és mindent a lábai alá vetettél« . Mert azzal, hogy mindent alávetett, nem hagyott semmit sem, ami ne lenne alávetetve neki. 13 És ismét: »Bízni fogok őbenne«. És ismét: »Íme, én és gyermekeim, akiket Isten nekem adott«.	13 And again: “I will be faithful in him.” And again: “Behold, I and my children, whom God has given to me.”
14 Mivel tehát a gyermekek részesei a testnek és vérnek, ő maga is hasonlóan részese lett ezeknek, hogy a halál által lerontsa azt, akinek halált osztó hatalma volt, az ördögöt,	14 Therefore, because children have a common flesh and blood, he himself also, in like manner, has shared in the same, so that through death, he might destroy him who held the dominion of death, that is, the devil,

17 Ezért mindenben hasonlónak kellett lennie testvéreihez , hogy irgalmas és hűséges főpap legyen Isten előtt, hogy kiengesztelje a nép bűneit.	17 Therefore, it is fitting for him to be made similar to his brothers in all things, so that he might become a merciful and faithful High Priest before God, in order that he might bring forgiveness to the offenses of the people.
