1 Azt mondta erre az Úr Mózesnek: »Most majd meglátod, mit teszek a fáraóval, mert egy erős kéz kényszerítésére el fogja őket engedni, sőt, egy hatalmas kéz kényszere alatt el fogja őket kergetni a földjéről!«	1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'
2 Aztán így szólt az Úr Mózeshez: »Én, az Úr	2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.
3 jelentem meg Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Jákobnak, mint Mindenható Isten – mert azt a nevemet: ‘Úr’, nem közöltem velük –,	3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.
4 és szövetséget kötöttem velük, hogy nekik adom Kánaán földjét, vándorlásuk földjét, amelyen jövevények voltak.	4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.
5 Aztán meghallottam Izrael fiainak sóhajtozását, hogy elnyomják őket az egyiptomiak, és megemlékeztem szövetségemről.	5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.
6 Mondd tehát Izrael fiainak: Én, az Úr vagyok az, aki kiviszlek titeket az egyiptomi kényszermunka házából, és kiszabadítalak titeket a szolgaságból. Megváltalak titeket kinyújtott karral, nagy ítéletek által,	6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.
7 és népemmé fogadlak titeket. Istenetek leszek, és megtudjátok, hogy én, az Úr, a ti Istenetek vagyok az, aki kiviszlek titeket Egyiptom kínszenvedéseiből,	7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.
8 és beviszlek arra a földre, amely felől esküre emeltem kezem, hogy Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Jákobnak adom, és odaadom azt nektek birtokul, én, az Úr!«	8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '
9 Mózes elmondta mindezt Izrael fiainak, de azok nem hallgattak rá kishitűségük, kíméletlenül kemény munkájuk miatt.	9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.
10 Aztán így szólt az Úr Mózeshez:	10 Yahweh then said to Moses,
11 »Menj be és mondd meg a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának, hogy engedje el földjéről Izrael fiait!«	11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'
12 Mózes azt felelte az Úr előtt: »Izrael fiai sem hallgatnak rám, hogy hallgatna tehát rám a fáraó, amikor én ráadásul körülmetéletlen ajkú is vagyok!«	12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'
13 Az Úr tehát szólt Mózeshez és Áronhoz, s megparancsolta Izrael fiainak és a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának, hogy vezessék ki Izrael fiait Egyiptom földjéről.	13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.
14 A következők a családok fejei, nemzetségük szerint: Rúbennek, Izrael elsőszülöttjének fiai: Hénok, Fállu, Ezron és Kármi. Ezek Rúben nemzetségei.	14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.
15 Simeon fiai: Jámuel, Jámin, Áhod, Jákin, Szoár és Saul a kánaáni asszony fia. Ezek Simeon nemzetségei.	15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.
16 Lévi fiainak, származásuk szerint, a következő a nevük: Gerson, Kaát és Merári. Lévi százharminchét esztendeig élt.	16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.
17 Gerson fiai: Libni és Szemei, nemzetségeik szerint.	17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.
18 Kaát fiai: Armám, Jiszhár, Hebron és Oziel. Kaát százharminchárom esztendeig élt.	18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.
19 Merári fiai: Moholi és Músi. Ezek Lévi nemzetségei, származásuk szerint.	19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.
20 Armám Jokebedet, apai nagybátyjának lányát vette feleségül, aki Áront és Mózest szülte neki. Armám százharminchét esztendeig élt.	20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.
21 Jichár fiai: Kóré, Nefeg és Zekri.	21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.
22 Oziel fiai: Misaél, Eliszafán és Szetri.	22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.
23 Áron Erzsébetet, Aminádáb lányát, Nahson nővérét vette feleségül, aki Nádábot, Ábiut, Eleazárt meg Itamárt szülte neki.	23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24 Kóré fiai: Asszír, Elkána és Abiászáf. Ezek a kóriták nemzetségei.	24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.
25 Eleazár, Áron fia, Futiel lányai közül vett magának feleséget, aki Fineeszt szülte neki. Ezek a leviták családjának fejei, nemzetségük szerint.	25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.
26 Ez az az Áron és Mózes, akiknek azt parancsolta az Úr, hogy vezessék ki Izrael fiait Egyiptom földjéről, seregeik szerint.	26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'
27 Ők azok, akik szóltak a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának, hogy kivezethessék Izrael fiait Egyiptomból. Ez az a Mózes és Áron,	27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.
28 azon a napon, amelyen szólt az Úr Mózeshez Egyiptom földjén.	28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,
29 És szólt az Úr Mózeshez: »Én, az Úr parancsolom: Mondd el a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának mindazt, amit mondok neked!«	29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'
30 Azt mondta erre Mózes az Úr előtt: »Íme, én körülmetéletlen ajkú vagyok, hogyan hallgatna rám a fáraó?«	30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'
