1 Υιοι του Ιουδα, Φαρες, Εσρων και Χαρμι και Ωρ και Σωβαλ.	1 The sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 Και Ρεαια, ο υιος του Σωβαλ, εγεννησε τον Ιααθ? και Ιααθ εγεννησε τον Αχουμαι και τον Λααδ. Αυται ειναι αι συγγενειαι των Σαραθιτων.	2 Truly, Reaiah, the son of Shobal, conceived Jahath; from him were born Ahumai and Lahad. These are the kindred of the Zorathites.
3 Και ουτοι ησαν οι υιοι του πατρος Ηταμ? Ιεζραελ και Ιεσμα και Ιεδβας? και το ονομα της αδελφης αυτων Ασελ-ελφονι?	3 And this is the stock of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash. And the name of their sister was Hazzelelponi.
4 και Φανουηλ ο πατηρ Γεδωρ, και Εσερ ο πατηρ Χουσα. Ουτοι ειναι οι υιοι του Ωρ, πρωτοτοκου Εφραθα, πατρος Βηθλεεμ.	4 Now Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer was the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratha, the father of Bethlehem.
5 Και Ασχωρ ο πατηρ Θεκουε ειχε δυο γυναικας, Ελα και Νααρα.	5 Truly, for Ashhur, the father of Tekoa, there were two wives: Helah and Naarah.
6 Και η μεν Νααρα εγεννησεν εις αυτον τον Αχουζαμ και τον Εφερ και τον Θαιμανι και τον Αχασταρι. Ουτοι ησαν οι υιοι της Νααρα.	6 And Naarah bore to him: Ahuzzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These are the sons of Naarah.
7 Οι δε υιοι της Ελα, Σερεθ και Ιεσοαρ και Εθναν.	7 And the sons of Helah were Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.
8 Και ο Κως εγεννησε τον Ανουβ και τον Σωβηβα, και τας συγγενειας του Αχαρηλ, υιου του Αρουμ.	8 Now Koz conceived Anub, and Zobebah, and the kindred of Aharhel, the son of Harum.
9 Και ο Ιαβης ητο ενδοξοτερος παρα τους αδελφους αυτου? και η μητηρ αυτου εκαλεσε το ονομα αυτου Ιαβης, λεγουσα, Επειδη εγεννησα αυτον εν λυπη.	9 But Jabez was renown, more so than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “For I bore him in sorrow.”
10 Και επεκαλεσθη ο Ιαβης τον Θεον του Ισραηλ, λεγων, Ειθε μετ' ευλογιας να με ευλογησης και να εκτεινης τα ορια μου, και η χειρ σου να ηναι μετ' εμου και να με φυλαττης απο κακου, ωστε να μη εχω λυπην. Και εχαρισεν ο Θεος εις αυτον οσα εζητησε.	10 Truly, Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “If only, when blessing, you will bless me, and will broaden my borders, and your hand will be with me, and you will cause me not to be oppressed by evil.” And God granted to him the things for which he prayed.
11 Και ο Χελουβ, αδελφος του Σουα, εγεννησε τον Μεχειρ? ουτος ητο πατηρ του Εσθων.	11 Now Chelub, the brother of Shuhah, conceived Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.
12 Και ο Εσθων εγεννησε τον Βαιθ-ραφα και τον Φασεα και τον Θεχιννα, τον πατερα της πολεως Ναας? ουτοι ειναι οι ανδρες Ρηχα.	12 Then Eshton conceived Bethrapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of the city of Nahash. These are the men of Recah.
13 Και οι υιοι του Κενεζ, Γοθονιηλ και Σεραιας? και οι υιοι του Γοθονιηλ, Αθαθ.	13 Now the sons of Kenaz were Othniel and Seraiah. And the sons of Othniel were Hathath and Meonothai.
14 Και ο Μεονοθαι εγεννησε τον Οφρα? και ο Σεραιας εγεννησε τον Ιωαβ, πατερα της κοιλαδος των τεκτονων? διοτι ησαν τεκτονες.	14 Meonothai conceived Ophrah, but Seraiah conceived Joab, the father of the Valley of Artisans. For indeed, there were artisans there.
15 Και οι υιοι του Χαλεβ, υιου του Ιεφοννη, Ιρου, Ηλα και Νααμ? και οι υιοι του Ηλα, Κενεζ.	15 Truly, the sons of Chelub, the son of Jephunneh, were Iru, and Elah, and Naam. And the sons of Elah: Kenaz.
16 Και οι υιοι του Ιαλελεηλ, Ζιφ και Ζιφα, Θηρια και Ασαρεηλ.	16 Also, the sons of Jehallelel: Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria and Asarel.
17 Και οι υιοι του Εζρα, Ιεθερ και Μερεδ και Εφερ και Ιαλων? και η γυνη του Μερεδ εγεννησε τον Μαριαμ και τον Σαμμαι και τον Ιεσβα τον πατερα Εσθεμωα.	17 And the sons of Ezrah: Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon; and he conceived Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.
18 Και η αλλη γυνη αυτου, η Ιουδαια, εγεννησε τον Ιερεδ τον πατερα Γεδωρ, και τον Εβερ τον πατερα Σωχω, και τον Ιεκουθιηλ τον πατερα Ζανωα. Και ουτοι ειναι οι υιοι της Βιθιας θυγατρος του Φαραω, την οποιαν ελαβεν ο Μερεδ.	18 And then his wife, Judaia, bore Jered, the father of Gedor, and Heber, the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah. Now there were sons of Bithiah, the daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered married,
19 Και οι υιοι της γυναικος αυτου της Οδιας, αδελφης του Ναχαμ, πατρος Κεειλα του Γαρμιτου και Εσθεμωα του Μααχαθιτου.	19 and sons of his wife Hodiah, the sister of Naham, the father of Keilah the Garmite, and of Eshtemoa, who was from Maacathi.
20 Και οι υιοι του Σιμων ησαν Αμνων και Ριννα, Βεν-αναν και Θιλων. Και οι υιοι του Ιεσει, Ζωχεθ και Βεν-ζωχεθ.	20 And the sons of Shimon: Amnon, and Rinnah, son of Hanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi: Zoheth and Benzoheth.
21 Οι υιοι του Σηλα, υιου του Ιουδα, ησαν Ηρ ο πατηρ Ληχα και Λααδα ο πατηρ Μαρησα, και αι συγγενειαι του οικου των εργαζομενων την βυσσον, του οικου του Ασβεα,	21 The sons of Shelah, the son of Judah: Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, and the kindred of the house of the workers of fine linen in the house of the oath,
22 και ο Ιωκειμ και οι ανδρες Χαζηβα και ο Ιωας και ο Σαραφ, οιτινες εδεσποζον εν Μωαβ, και ο Ιασουβι-λεχεμ. Πλην ταυτα ειναι αρχαια πραγματα.	22 and he who caused the sun to stand still, and the men of Lying, and Secure, and Burning, who were leaders in Moab, and who returned into Lehem. Now these words are ancient.
23 Ουτοι ησαν οι κεραμεις και οι κατοικουντες εν Νεταιμ και Γεδιρα? εκει κατωκουν μετα του βασιλεως δια τας εργασιας αυτου.	23 These are the potters living in the Plantations and in the Hedges, with a king in his works, and they were dwelling there.
24 Οι υιοι του Συμεων ησαν Νεμουηλ και Ιαμειν, Ιαρειβ, Ζερα και Σαουλ?	24 The sons of Simeon: Nemuel and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul;
25 Σαλλουμ υιος τουτου, Μιβσαμ υιος τουτου, Μισμα υιος τουτου.	25 Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
26 Και οι υιοι του Μισμα, Αμουηλ ο υιος αυτου, Ζακχουρ υιος τουτου, Σιμει υιος τουτου.	26 The sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
27 Και ο Σιμει εγεννησε δεκαεξ υιους και εξ θυγατερας? οι αδελφοι αυτου ομως δεν ειχον υιους πολλους, ουδε επληθυνθησαν πασαι αι συγγενειαι αυτων, καθως των υιων του Ιουδα.	27 The sons of Shimei were sixteen, and there were six daughters. But his brothers did not have many sons, and the entire kindred was not equal to the sum of the sons of Judah.
28 Και κατωκησαν εν Βηρ-σαβεε και Μωλαδα και Ασαρ-σουαλ,	28 Now they lived in Beersheba, and Moladah, and Hazarshual,
29 και εν Βαλλα και εν Ασεμ και εν Θωλαδ	29 and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad,
30 και εν Βαιθουηλ και εν Ορμα και εν Σικλαγ	30 and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag,
31 και εν Βαιθ-μαρχαβωθ και εν Ασαρ-σουσιμ και εν Βαιθ-βηρει και εν Σααραειμ? Αυται ησαν αι πολεις αυτων εως της βασιλειας του Δαβιδ.	31 and in Beth-marcaboth, and in Hazarsusim, and in Bethbiri, and in Shaaraim. These were their cities until king David.
32 Και αι κωμαι αυτων ησαν, Ηταμ και Αειν, Ριμμων και Θοχεν και Ασαν, πεντε πολεις?	32 And their towns were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities,
33 και πασαι αι κωμαι αυτων αι περιξ τουτων των πολεων, μεχρι Βααλ. Αυται ησαν αι κατοικησεις αυτων και η κατα γενεας διαιρεσις αυτων.	33 with all their villages, on every side of these cities, as far as Baal. This is their habitation and the distribution of the settlements.
34 Και Μεσωβαβ και Ιαμληχ και Ιωσα ο υιος του Αμασια,	34 And there were Meshobab and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,
35 και Ιωηλ και Ιηου ο υιος του Ιωσιβια, υιου του Σεραια, υιου του Ασιηλ,	35 and Joel, and Jehu, the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,
36 και Ελιωηναι και Ιαακωβα και Ιεσοχαιας και Ασαιας και Αδιηλ και Ιεσιμιηλ και Βεναιας	36 and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,
37 και Ζιζα ο υιος του Σιφει, υιου του Αλλον, υιου του Ιεδαια, υιου του Σιμρι, υιου του Σεμαια?	37 as well as Ziza, the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah.
38 ουτοι οι κατ' ονομα μνημονευθεντες ησαν αρχοντες εις τας συγγενειας αυτων? και ο οικος των πατερων αυτων ηυξηθη εις πληθος.	38 These were the names of the leaders in their kindred. And they were multiplied greatly within the houses of their marriages.
39 Και υπηγαν εως της εισοδου Γεδωρ, προς ανατολας της κοιλαδος, δια να ζητησωσι βοσκην εις τα ποιμνια αυτων?	39 And they set out, so that they might enter into Gedor, as far as the eastern valley, and so that they might seek pastures for their flocks.
40 και ευρηκαν βοσκην παχειαν και καλην, και η γη ητο ευρυχωρος και ησυχος και ειρηνικη? διοτι οι προτερον κατοικουντες εκει ησαν εκ του Χαμ.	40 And they found fat and very good pastures, and a very wide and quiet and fruitful land, in which some from the stock of Ham had lived before.
41 Και ουτοι οι γεγραμμενοι κατ' ονομα ηλθον εν ταις ημεραις Εζεκιου του βασιλεως Ιουδα, και επαταξαν τας σκηνας αυτων και τους εκει ευρεθεντας Μιναιους, και ηφανισαν αυτους εως της ημερας ταυτης, και κατωκησαν αντ' αυτων? διοτι ητο εκει βοσκη δια τα ποιμνια αυτων.	41 So then, those whose names have been written above, went forth in the days of Hezekiah, the king of Judah. And they struck down the inhabitants who had been found there with their dwellings. And they wiped them out, even to the present day. And they lived in place of them, because they found very fat pastures there.
42 Και εξ αυτων, εκ των υιων του Συμεων, πεντακοσιοι ανδρες υπηγαν εις το ορος Σηειρ, εχοντες επι κεφαλης αυτων τον Φελατιαν και Νεαριαν και Ρεφαιαν και Οζιηλ, υιους του Ιεσει?	42 Also, some of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went away to mount Seir, having as leaders Pelatiah and Neariah and Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
43 και επαταξαν το υπολοιπον των Αμαληκιτων το διασωθεν, και κατωκησαν εκει εως της ημερας ταυτης.	43 And they struck down the remnant of the Amalekites, those who had been able to escape, and they lived there in place of them, even to this day.
