1 Arise, be enlightened, O Jerusalem: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.	1 Debout! Rayonne! Car voici ta lumière et sur toi se lève la Gloire de Yahvé.
2 For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and a mist the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.	2 Alors que les ténèbres enveloppent la terre, et que les peuples sont dans le brouillard, sur toi Yahvé se lève, et sa Gloire apparaît au-dessus de toi.
3 And the Gentiles shall walk in thy light, and kings in the brightness of thy rising.	3 Les nations alors marchent vers ta lumière, et les rois vers la clarté de ton aurore.
4 Lift up thy eyes round about, and see: all these are gathered together, they are come to thee: thy sons shah come from afar, and thy daughters shall rise up at thy side.	4 Regarde tout autour et vois: tous se rassemblent, ils viennent vers toi; tes fils arrivent de loin et tes filles sont portées sur les bras.
5 Then shalt thou see, and abound, and thy heart shall wonder and be enlarged, when the multitude of the sea shall be converted to thee, the. strength of the Gentiles shall come to thee.	5 À cette vue tu seras radieuse, ton cœur en frémira et se dilatera, car les trésors d’outremer afflueront chez toi, les richesses des nations viendront jusqu’à toi.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Madian and Epha: all they from Saba shall come, bringing gold and frankincense: and shewing forth praise to the Lord.	6 Ce sera une invasion de caravanes, de dromadaires de Madian et d’Éfa; tous ceux de Saba viendront, apportant l’or et l’encens et chantant les louanges de Yahvé.
7 All the flocks of Cedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nabaioth shall minister to thee: they shall be offered upon my acceptable altar, and I will glorify the house of my majesty.	7 Les troupeaux de Kédar aboutiront chez toi, pour ton culte, avec les béliers de Nébayot. On les offrira sur mon autel, ils y seront agréés: je donnerai du prestige à ma noble Maison.
8 Who are these, that fly as clouds, and as doves to their windows?	8 Quel est ce vol, dense comme un nuage, comme des colombes vers leur colombier?
9 For, the islands wait for me, and the ships of the sea in the beginning: that I may bring thy sons from afar: their silver, and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.	9 C’est que les îles maintenant croient en moi et les vaisseaux de Tarsis arrivent en tête; de loin ils ramènent tes fils avec leur argent et leur or à cause du Nom de Yahvé ton Dieu, du Saint d’Israël qui te couvre de gloire.
10 And the children of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister to thee: for in my wrath have I struck thee, and in my reconciliation have I had mercy upon thee.	10 Des étrangers relèveront tes murs et leurs rois voudront te servir. Dans ma colère je t’avais frappée, et puis dans ma bonté j’ai eu pitié de toi.
11 And thy gates shall be open continually: they shall not be shut day nor night, that the strength of the Gentiles may be brought to thee, and their kings may be brought.	11 Tes portes seront toujours ouvertes; on ne les fermera pas, car de jour et de nuit les rois des nations t’apporteront leurs richesses.
12 For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve thee, shall perish: and the Gentiles shall be wasted with desolation.	12 (Si quelque nation ou royaume refuse de te servir, ils seront détruits, et ces nations seront exterminées.)
13 The glory of Libanus shall come to thee, the Ar tree, and the box tree, and the pine tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary: and I will glorify the place of my feet.	13 La gloire du Liban viendra chez toi; le cyprès, le platane et le buis tout ensemble orneront mon Sanctuaire, pour l’honneur du lieu où reposent mes pieds.
14 And the children of them that afflict thee, shall come bowing down to thee, and all that slandered thee shall worship the steps of thy feet, and shall call thee the city of the Lord, the Sion of the Holy One of Israel.	14 Les fils de tes oppresseurs viendront humblement vers toi, ceux qui te méprisaient se prosterneront à tes pieds; ils t’appelleront “Ville-de-Yahvé, Sion-du-Saint-d’Israël.”
15 Because thou wast forsaken, and hated, and there was none that passed through thee, I will make thee to be an everlasting glory, a joy unto generation and generation:	15 N’étais-tu pas délaissée, méprisée, mise à l’écart? Eh bien, je vais te rendre fière pour tous les âges, je te donne la joie pour toujours.
16 And thou shalt suck the milk of the Gentiles, and thou shalt be nursed with the breasts of kings: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 Tu suceras le lait des nations, à toi seront les trésors des rois, et tu sauras que moi, Yahvé, je te sauve, que le Puissant de Jacob t’a rachetée.
17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver: and for wood brass, and for stones iron: and I will make thy visitation peace, and thy overseers justice.	17 Je fais venir de l’or pour remplacer le bronze, de l’argent pour remplacer le fer, du bronze pour remplacer le bois, du fer pour remplacer les pierres. Je ferai que seule la paix ait pouvoir chez toi; la justice remplacera tes gouverneurs.
18 Iniquity shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction in thy borders, and salvation shall possess thy walls, and praise thy gates.	18 On n’entendra plus parler de violence dans ton pays, ni de pillage ou de ruines à l’intérieur de tes frontières. Tu appelleras tes remparts: Salut, et tes portes: Louanges.
19 Thou shalt no more have the sun for thy light by day, neither shall the brightness of the moon enlighten thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and thy God for thy glory.	19 Plus besoin de soleil pour éclairer tes jours, ni de clartés de lune sur tes nuits; Yahvé sera pour toi lumière perpétuelle, ton Dieu sera ta fierté.
20 Thy sun shall go down no more, and thy moon shall not decrease: for the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.	20 Ton soleil ne se couchera pas, ta lune n’aura pas de décroît: Yahvé sera pour toi lumière perpétuelle, car le temps de ton deuil aura pris fin.
21 And thy people shall be all just, they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hand to glorify me.	21 Tous dans ton peuple seront des justes; ils posséderont le pays pour toujours, ils seront le rejeton que j’ai planté, l’ouvrage que mes mains ont créé pour ma gloire.
22 The least shall become a thousand, and a little one a most strong nation: I the Lord will suddenly do this thing in its time.	22 Le moindre d’entre eux deviendra un millier, le moins considéré, une nation puissante; que vienne le temps et je ferai tout, moi Yahvé, sans traîner.
