1 Escuchen lo que dice el Señor: ¡Levántate, convoca a juicio a las montañas y que las colinas escuchen tu voz!	1 Hear, then, what the LORD says: Arise, present your plea before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice!
2 ¡Escuchen, montañas, el pleito del Señor, atiendan, fundamentos de la tierra! Porque el Señor tiene un pleito con su pueblo, entabla un proceso contra Israel;	2 Hear, O mountains, the plea of the LORD, pay attention, O foundations of the earth! For the LORD has a plea against his people, and he enters into trial with Israel.
3 «¿Qué te hice, pueblo mío, o en qué te molesté? Respóndeme.	3 O my people, what have I done to you, or how have I wearied you? Answer me!
4 ¿Será porque te hice subir de Egipto, porque te rescaté de un lugar de esclavitud y envié delante de ti a Moisés, Aarón y Miriam?	4 For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, from the place of slavery I released you; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
5 Recuerda, pueblo mío, lo que tramaba Balac, rey de Moab, y qué le respondió Balaam, hijo de Beor. Recuerda el trayecto desde Sitím hasta Guilgal, y así reconocerás los actos justicieros del Señor».	5 My people, remember what Moab's King Balak planned, and how Balaam, the son of Beor, answered him . . . from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the just deeds of the LORD.
6 ¿Con qué me presentaré al Señor y me postraré ante el Dios de las alturas? ¿Me presentaré a él con holocaustos, con terneros de un año?	6 With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow before God most high? Shall I come before him with holocausts, with calves a year old?
7 ¿Aceptará el Señor miles de carneros, millares de torrentes de aceite? ¿Ofreceré a mi primogénito por mi rebeldía, al fruto de mis entrañas por mi propio pecado?	7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my first-born for my crime, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 Se te ha indicado, hombre, qué es lo bueno y qué exige de ti el Señor: nada más que practicar la justicia, amar la fidelidad y caminar humildemente con tu Dios.	8 You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you: Only to do right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.
9 La voz del Señor llama a la ciudad. –¡Es prudente temer tu Nombre!–. ¡Oigan, tribu de Judá y asamblea de la ciudad!	9 Hark! the LORD cries to the city. (It is wisdom to fear your name!) Hear, O tribe and city council,
10 ¿Tendré que tolerar todavía en la casa del impío los tesoros mal adquiridos y la execrable medida rebajada?	10 Am I to bear any longer criminal hoarding and the meager ephah that is accursed?
11 ¿Puedo tener por justas las balanzas falsas o la bolsa de pesas fraudulentas?	11 Shall I acquit criminal balances, bags of false weights?
12 ¡Sus ricos están llenos de violencia, sus habitantes hablan falsamente y la lengua es pura mentira en su boca!	12 You whose rich men are full of violence, whose inhabitants speak falsehood with deceitful tongues in their heads!
13 Por eso, yo comencé a golpearte y a devastarte por tus pecados.	13 Rather I will begin to strike you with devastation because of your sins.
14 Tú comerás, pero no te saciarás, y el hambre te devorará por dentro; ahorrarás, pero no conservarás, y lo que conserves, yo lo entregaré a la espada.	14 You shall eat, without being satisfied, food that will leave you empty; What you acquire, you cannot save; what you do save, I will deliver up to the sword.
15 Sembrarás, pero no cosecharás; pisarás la aceituna, pero no te ungirás con aceite, tendrás mosto, pero no beberás el vino.	15 You shall sow, yet not reap, tread out the olive, yet pour no oil, and the grapes, yet drink no wine.
16 Tú observas los decretos de Omrí y todas las prácticas de la casa de Ajab; procedes según sus consejos, para que yo te entregue a la desolación, y a tus habitantes a la burla. ¡Ustedes soportarán el oprobio de los pueblos!	16 You have kept the decrees of Omri, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and you have walked in their counsels; Therefore I will deliver you up to ruin, and your citizens to derision; and you shall bear the reproach of the nations.
