Salmos 124

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Canto de peregrinación. De David. Si el Señor no hubiera estado de nuestra parte –que lo diga Israel–,	1 To thee have I lifted up my eyes, who dwellest in heaven.
2 si el Señor no hubiera estado de nuestra parte, cuando los hombres se alzaron contra nosotros,	2 Behold as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, As the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress: so are our eyes unto the Lord our God, until he have mercy on us.
3 nos habrían devorado vivos. Cuando ardió su furor contra nosotros,	3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us: for we are greatly filled with contempt.
4 las aguas nos habrían inundado, un torrente nos habría sumergido,	4 For our soul is greatly filled: we are a reproach to the rich, and contempt to the proud.
5 nos habrían sumergido las aguas turbulentas.
6 ¡Bendito sea el Señor, que no nos entregó como presa de sus dientes!
7 Nuestra vida se salvó como un pájaro de la trampa del cazador: la trampa se rompió y nosotros escapamos.
8 Nuestra ayuda está en el nombre del Señor, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
