EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Del maestro de coro. De David. Yo tengo mi refugio en el Señor, ¿Cómo pueden decirme entonces: «Escapa a la montaña como un pájaro,	1 [For the choirmaster Of David] In Yahweh I have found refuge. How can you say to me, 'Bird, flee toyour mountain?
2 porque los malvados tienden su arco y ajustan sus flechas a la cuerda, para disparar desde la penumbra contra los rectos de corazón?	2 'For look, the wicked are drawing their bows, fitting their arrows to the string to shoot honest men fromthe shadows.
3 Cuando ceden los cimientos, ¿qué puede hacer el justo?»	3 If the foundations fal to ruin, what can the upright do?'
4 Pero el Señor está en su santo Templo, el Señor tiene su trono en el cielo. Sus ojos observan el mundo, sus pupilas examinan a los hombres:	4 Yahweh in his holy temple! Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; his eyes watch over the world, his gazescrutinises the children of Adam.
5 el Señor examina al justo y al culpable, y odia al que ama la violencia.	5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.
6 Que él haga llover brasas y azufre sobre los impíos, y les toque en suerte un viento abrasador.	6 He will rain down red-hot coals, fire and sulphur on the wicked, a scorching wind wil be their lot.
7 Porque el Señor es justo y ama la justicia, y los son rectos verán su rostro.	7 For Yahweh is upright and loves uprightness, the honest will ever see his face.
