Ezechiele 13

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E disse Iddio a me:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 O figliuolo d'uomo, indovina tu a' profeti d' Israel, i quali profetano, e dirai a quelli che profetano dal loro cuore: udite la parola di Dio.	2 'Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel; prophesy, and say to those who make upprophecies out of their own heads, "Hear what Yahweh says:
3 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: guai a' profeti sanza senno, i quali sèguitano il loro spirito, e non veggiono nulla.	3 The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the foolish prophets who fol ow their own spirit andhave seen nothing!
4 Quasi come volpi ne' deserti, così erano li tuoi profeti, o Israel.	4 Your prophets, Israel, are like ruin-haunting jackals!
5 Voi non saliste dalla parte contraria, e non contraponeste lo muro per la casa d'Israel, acciò che voi isteste nella battaglia nel dì del Signore.	5 "You have not ventured into the breach; you have not built up the wal round the House of Israel, tohold fast in battle on the Day of Yahweh.
6 Loro veggiono le cose vane, e indovinano la bugia, dicendo: questo dice Iddio, conciosia cosa che Iddio non li abbia mandati; e perseveronno di confermare la parola.	6 Theirs are futile visions and false predictions, who say: A prophecy from Yahweh, when Yahweh hasnot sent them; yet they expect their words to come true.
7 Or non vedeste voi visione vana, e avete parlato indovinazione bugiarda? e diceste: questo dice lo Signore Iddio, conciosia cosa ch' io non abbia parlato.	7 Have not the visions you see been futile, have not the predictions you make been false, although yousay: A prophecy of Yahweh, when I have not spoken?
8 Però [dice lo Signore Iddio: però] che avete parlato cose vane, e vedeste la bugia, ecco, io dico a voi, dice lo Signore Iddio.	8 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Because of your futile words and false predictions, I am nowagainst you -- declares Lord Yahweh.
9 E la mia mano sarà sopra li profeti, i quali vedono cose vane, e indovinano cose bugiarde; non saranno nel consiglio del popolo mio, e non si scriveranno nella scrittura della casa d'Israel, e non entreranno nella terra d' Israel; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.	9 My hand wil be against the prophets who have futile visions and give false predictions; they will not beadmitted to the council of my people, their names wil not be entered in the roll of the House of Israel, they willnot set foot on the soil of Israel; and they wil know that I am the Lord Yahweh.
10 Però che hanno ingannato lo popolo, mio, dicendo: pace, pace e non era pace; e lo popolo edificava lo parete, e loro si lo coprivano di loto sanza paglia.	10 This is because they have misled my people by saying Peace! when there is no peace. When mypeople were repairing a wal , these men came and plastered it over!
11 Di' a quelli che cuoprono sanza temperanza, che quello che fanno sì deve cadere; però che verrà lo vento acquario bagnante, e farò venire di sopra pietre molto grandi, e vento di tempesta, disfacendo ogni cosa.	11 Tel these plasterers: It will rain hard, it wil hail, it wil blow a gale,
12 Ecco che cadde lo parete; non sarà detto a voi: dove è lo coprimento (e lo edificio) che voi avete fatto?	12 and down wil come the wal ! Will not people ask you: What has become of the plaster you slappedon it?
13 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio; e faroe uscire fuori lo spirito della tempesta nella mia indignazione, e sarà vento acquario bagnante (oltre misura) nel mio furore, e pietre molto grandi nell'ira in consumazione.	13 Wel then, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am going to unleash a stormy wind in my fury, torrential rainin my anger, hailstones in my destructive fury,
14 E disfarò lo parete che voi faceste sanza coprimento e sanza temperamento, e farollo eguale con la terra; e vedrassi il suo fondamento, e cadrà, e consumerassi nel mezzo di lei; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore.	14 and I shal shatter the wal you plastered and knock it down and lay its foundations bare. It wil faland you wil perish under it; then you wil know that I am Yahweh."
15 E compirò la mia indignazione nello parete, e in quelli che lo cuoprono sanza temperamento, e dirò loro: non è parete, e non è chi lo cuopra.	15 'When I have sated my anger on the wal and those who plastered it, I shall say to you, "The wal isgone, and so are those who plastered over it,
16 Li profeti d' Israel, i quali profetano a Ierusalem, e veggono a lei visione di pace; e non è pace, dice lo Signore Iddio.	16 the prophets of Israel who prophesy about Jerusalem and have visions of peace for her when there isno peace -- declares the Lord Yahweh."
17 O figliuolo d' uomo, poni la tua faccia contro alle figliuole del popolo tuo, le quali profetano dal loro cuore, e indovina sopra quelle.	17 'Also, son of man, turn to the women of your people who make up prophecies out of their own heads;prophesy against them.
18 E di questo dice lo Signore Iddio: guai a quelle che conciano li pimacciuoli sotto ogui gomito della sua mano, e fanno capezzali (o guanciali) sotto lo capo della universa etade a pigliare l'anime, acciò che pigliassono l'anime del popolo mio; e dicevano che le loro anime viverebbono molto tempo.	18 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for women who sew ribbons round each wristand make head-cloths for people of al sizes, in their hunt for souls! Are you to hunt the souls of my people andkeep your own souls safe?
19 E corrompevano me nel mio popolo per uno poco d'orzo o per uno poco di pane, acciò che loro uccidessono l'anime le quali non muoiono, e diceano che l'anime viverebbono le quali non vivono, e mentivano al popolo che credeva le bugie.	19 You dishonour me in front of my people for a few handfuls of barley, a few bits of bread, kil ing thosewho ought not to die and sparing those who ought not to live, lying to my people who love listening to lies.
20 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io veggio a' vostri pimacciuoli, colli quali voi pigliate le anime volanti, e romperolli delle vostre braccia; e lascerò le anime, che voi pigliate, a volare.	20 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am now against your ribbons, with which you huntsouls like birds, and I shal tear them off your arms and free those souls whom you hunt like birds.
21 E straccerò li vostri capezzali, e libererò lo mio popolo della vostra mano, e non saranno più nelle vostre mani a rubarli; e saprete ch' io sono Iddio.	21 I shal tear your head-cloths to pieces and rescue my people from your clutches; no longer wil theybe fair game for you to ensnare. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.
22 Però che faceste dolere il cuore del giusto con le vostre falsitadi, lo quale io non contristai; e confortaste le mani del malvagio, acciò che lui non tornasse dalla sua mala via, e vivesse;	22 "For having intimidated with lies the heart of the upright whom I had done nothing to alarm, and forhaving encouraged the wicked not to give up wicked ways and so be saved,
23 e però voi non vedrete cose vane, e non indovinerete più, e libererò lo mio popolo della vostra mano; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore.	23 very well, you wil have no more futile visions and make no more predictions, for I shal rescue mypeople from your clutches, and you will know that I am Yahweh." '
