1 Nella fine, il salmo di David per la ottava	1 Unto the end. For the octave. A Psalm of David.
2 Fa me salvo, Signore, perciò che non si trova santo; però che sono diminuite le verità dai figliuoli degli uomini.	2 Save me, O Lord, because holiness has passed away, because truths have been diminished, before the sons of men.
3 Loro hanno parlato cose vane, ciascuno al prossimo suo; li labbri d' inganno hanno nel cuore, e con il cuore hanno parlato.	3 They have been speaking emptiness, each one to his neighbor; they have been speaking with deceitful lips and a duplicitous heart.
4 Distrugga Iddio tutti i labbri d'inganno, la lingua che molto parla.	4 May the Lord scatter all deceitful lips, along with the tongue that speaks malice.
5 I quali dissono: noi magnificheremo la lingua nostra; li labbri nostri sono da noi; e chi è nostro signore?	5 They have said: “We will magnify our tongue; our lips belong to us. What is Lord to us?”
6 Per la miseria del mendico, e lo pianto del povero, ora mi leverò, dice il Signore. Porrò (la vostra letizia) nel salvatore, e sicuramente opererò in lui.	6 Because of the misery of the destitute and the groaning of the poor, now I will arise, says the Lord. I will place him in safety. I will act faithfully toward him.
7 I parlamenti di Dio sono parlari casti, e come argento provato nel fuoco e purgato d?lla terra sette volte.	7 The eloquence of the Lord is pure eloquence, silver tested by fire, purged from the earth, refined seven times.
8 Tu, Signore, ne guarderai e conserverai da questa generazione in eterno.	8 You, O Lord, will preserve us, and you will guard us from this generation into eternity.
9 E i malvagi vanno pure dintorno; secondo l'altezza tua moltiplicasti i figliuoli degli uomini.	9 The impious wander aimlessly. According to your loftiness, you have multiplied the sons of men.
