Esodo 11

1 E disse lo Signore a Moisè: ancora con una piaga toccherò Faraone, e dopo questo lascerà voi uscire, e caccerà voi.	1 And the Lord said to Moses: “I will touch Pharaoh and Egypt with one more plague, and after these things he will release you, and he will compel you to go out.
2 Dirai adunque a tutto il popolo, che l'uomo addimandi dall'amico suo, e la femina dalla vicina sua, li vaselli d'ariento e d'oro.	2 Therefore, you will tell all the people to ask, a man of his friend, and a woman of her neighbor, for vessels of silver and of gold.
3 E darà lo Signore grazia allo popolo suo (cioè a voi) innanzi di quelli d'Egitto. E fu Moisè uomo molto grande nella terra d'Egitto, innanzi alli servi di Faraone e ad ogni popolo.	3 Then the Lord will grant favor to his people in the sight of the Egyptians.” And Moses was a very great man in the land of Egypt, in the sight of the servants of Pharaoh and of all the people.
4 E dice: questo dice lo Signore: nella mezza notte verrò in Egitto;	4 And he said: “Thus says the Lord: ‘In the middle of the night I will enter into Egypt.
5 e moriranno tutti li, primigeniti nelle terre degli Egizii, dal primogenito di Faraone il quale siede nel soglio suo, insino al primogenito dell' ancilla la quale è alla macina, e tutti li primigeniti delle bestie.	5 And every firstborn in the land of the Egyptians shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the handmaid, who is at the millstone, and all the firstborn of the beasts of burden.
6 E sarà lo clamore grande in tutta la terra d'Egitto, quale innanzi non fue mai, e poscia non dee essere.	6 And there will be a great outcry throughout the entire land of Egypt, such as has not been before, nor ever will be afterward.
7 Ma appresso tutti li figliuoli d'Israel non mugghierà lo cane, dall'uomo insino alli animali acciò che voi sappiate con quanto miracolo divida lo Signore (quelli di] Egitto da quelli d'Israel.	7 But among all the sons of Israel there shall not be even a mutter from a dog, from man, even to cattle, so that you may know how miraculously the Lord divides the Egyptians from Israel.’
8 E verranno tutti questi tuoi servi a me, e adoreranno me, e diranno: pàrtiti tu, e tutto il popolo il quale è soggetto a te. Dopo queste cose sì partiremo.	8 And all these, your servants, shall descend to me and shall reverence me, by saying: ‘Depart, you and all the people who are subject to you.’ After these things, we will depart.”
9 E uscì da Faraone molto irato. E disse lo Signore a Moisè: non udirà voi Faraone, acciò molti segni sieno fatti nella terra d'Egitto.	9 And he went out from Pharaoh exceedingly angry. Then the Lord said to Moses: “Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that many signs may be accomplished in the land of Egypt.”
10 Ma Moisè ed Aaron fecero tutti li segni e le maraviglie, le quali scritte sono, innanzi a Faraone. E indurò lo Signore lo cuore di Faraone; nè non lasciò li figliuoli d'Israel uscire della terra sua.	10 Now Moses and Aaron did all the wonders that are written, in the sight of Pharaoh. And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh; neither did he release the sons of Israel from his land.
