Bamidbàr (במדבר) - Numeri 15

1 וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
2 דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי תָבֹאוּ אֶל־אֶרֶץ מֹושְׁבֹתֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי נֹתֵן לָכֶם	2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have arrived in the country where you are to live andwhich I am giving to you,
3 וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה עֹלָה אֹו־זֶבַח לְפַלֵּא־נֶדֶר אֹו בִנְדָבָה אֹו בְּמֹעֲדֵיכֶם לַעֲשֹׂות רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה מִן־הַבָּקָר אֹו מִן־הַצֹּאן	3 and you burn food as an offering to Yahweh either as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice, whether inpayment of a vow, or as a voluntary gift, or on the occasion of one of your solemn feasts, from your herds andflocks as a smel pleasing to Yahweh:
4 וְהִקְרִיב הַמַּקְרִיב קָרְבָּנֹו לַיהוָה מִנְחָה סֹלֶת עִשָּׂרֹון בָּלוּל בִּרְבִעִית הַהִין שָׁמֶן	4 the offerer wil , as his personal gift to Yahweh, bring a cereal offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fineflour mixed with one-quarter of a hin of oil.
5 וְיַיִן לַנֶּסֶךְ רְבִיעִית הַהִין תַּעֲשֶׂה עַל־הָעֹלָה אֹו לַזָּבַח לַכֶּבֶשׂ הָאֶחָד	5 You will also make a libation of wine, one-quarter of a hin to each lamb, in addition to the burntoffering or sacrifice.
6 אֹו לָאַיִל תַּעֲשֶׂה מִנְחָה סֹלֶת שְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרֹנִים בְּלוּלָה בַשֶּׁמֶן שְׁלִשִׁית הַהִין	6 For a ram, you will make a cereal offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-thirdof a hin of oil,
7 וְיַיִן לַנֶּסֶךְ שְׁלִשִׁית הַהִין תַּקְרִיב רֵיחַ־נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה	7 and a libation of one-third of a hin of wine as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
8 וְכִי־תַעֲשֶׂה בֶן־בָּקָר עֹלָה אֹו־זָבַח לְפַלֵּא־נֶדֶר אֹו־שְׁלָמִים לַיהוָה	8 If you offer a bul as a burnt offering or sacrifice, in payment of a vow or as a communion sacrifice forYahweh,
9 וְהִקְרִיב עַל־בֶּן־הַבָּקָר מִנְחָה סֹלֶת שְׁלֹשָׁה עֶשְׂרֹנִים בָּלוּל בַּשֶּׁמֶן חֲצִי הַהִין	9 in addition to the animal you wil offer a cereal offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixedwith half a hin of oil,
10 וְיַיִן תַּקְרִיב לַנֶּסֶךְ חֲצִי הַהִין אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ־נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה	10 and you wil offer a libation of half a hin of wine, as food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
11 כָּכָה יֵעָשֶׂה לַשֹּׁור הָאֶחָד אֹו לָאַיִל הָאֶחָד אֹו־לַשֶּׂה בַכְּבָשִׂים אֹו בָעִזִּים	11 This wil be done for every bul , every ram, every lamb or kid.
12 כַּמִּסְפָּר אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשׂוּ כָּכָה תַּעֲשׂוּ לָאֶחָד כְּמִסְפָּרָם	12 Whatever the number of victims you intend to offer, you wil do the same for each of them, howevermany there are.
13 כָּל־הָאֶזְרָח יַעֲשֶׂה־כָּכָה אֶת־אֵלֶּה לְהַקְרִיב אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ־נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה	13 "Every citizen of the country wil act in this way whenever he offers food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh;
14 וְכִי־יָגוּר אִתְּכֶם גֵּר אֹו אֲשֶׁר־בְּתֹוכְכֶם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם וְעָשָׂה אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ־נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה כַּאֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשׂוּ כֵּן יַעֲשֶׂה	14 and if an alien residing with you or with your descendants intends to offer food burnt as a smelpleasing to Yahweh, he wil do as you do.
15 הַקָּהָל חֻקָּה אַחַת לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר חֻקַּת עֹולָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם כָּכֶם כַּגֵּר יִהְיֶה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה	15 There wil be one law for you, members of the community, and the resident alien alike, a law bindingyour descendants for ever: before Yahweh you and the resident alien are no different.'
16 תֹּורָה אַחַת וּמִשְׁפָּט אֶחָד יִהְיֶה לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר אִתְּכֶם׃ פ	16 One law, one statute, wil apply for you and the resident alien." '
17 וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר	17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
18 דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם בְּבֹאֲכֶם אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מֵבִיא אֶתְכֶם שָׁמָּה	18 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have entered the country to which I am bringing you,
19 וְהָיָה בַּאֲכָלְכֶם מִלֶּחֶם הָאָרֶץ תָּרִימוּ תְרוּמָה לַיהוָה	19 you wil set a portion aside for Yahweh when you eat that country's bread.
20 רֵאשִׁית עֲרִסֹתֵכֶם חַלָּה תָּרִימוּ תְרוּמָה כִּתְרוּמַת גֹּרֶן כֵּן תָּרִימוּ אֹתָהּ	20 You wil set one cake aside as the first-fruits of your dough; you will set this offering aside like theone set aside from your threshing.
21 מֵרֵאשִׁית עֲרִסֹתֵיכֶם תִּתְּנוּ לַיהוָה תְּרוּמָה לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם׃ ס	21 For al future generations you will set a portion of your dough aside for Yahweh.
22 וְכִי תִשְׁגּוּ וְלֹא תַעֲשׂוּ אֵת כָּל־הַמִּצְוֹת הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה	22 "If through inadvertence you fail in any of these orders which Yahweh has given to Moses
23 אֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֲלֵיכֶם בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה מִן־הַיֹּום אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה וָהָלְאָה לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם	23 (whatever orders Yahweh has given you or your descendants through Moses, from the day whenYahweh gave his orders),
24 וְהָיָה אִם מֵעֵינֵי הָעֵדָה נֶעֶשְׂתָה לִשְׁגָגָה וְעָשׂוּ כָל־הָעֵדָה פַּר בֶּן־בָּקָר אֶחָד לְעֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה וּמִנְחָתֹו וְנִסְכֹּו כַּמִּשְׁפָּט וּשְׂעִיר־עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּת	24 this is what must be done: "If it is an inadvertence on the part of the community, the community as awhole wil offer a young bull as a burnt offering, as a smell pleasing to Yahweh, with the prescribedaccompanying cereal offering and libation, and a he-goat as a sacrifice for sin.
25 וְכִפֶּר הַכֹּהֵן עַל־כָּל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנִסְלַח לָהֶם כִּי־שְׁגָגָה הִוא וְהֵם הֵבִיאוּ אֶת־קָרְבָּנָם אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה וְחַטָּאתָם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה עַל־שִׁגְגָתָם	25 The priest wil perform the rite of expiation for the entire community of Israelites, and they wil beforgiven, since it was an inadvertence. Once they have brought their offering as food burnt for Yahweh, and havepresented their sacrifice for sin before Yahweh to make amends for their inadvertence,
26 וְנִסְלַח לְכָל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתֹוכָם כִּי לְכָל־הָעָם בִּשְׁגָגָה׃ ס	26 the whole community of Israelites wil be forgiven, as also the alien residing with them, since theentire people acted by inadvertence.
27 וְאִם־נֶפֶשׁ אַחַת תֶּחֱטָא בִשְׁגָגָה וְהִקְרִיבָה עֵז בַּת־שְׁנָתָהּ לְחַטָּאת	27 "If it is an individual who has sinned by inadvertence, he wil offer a yearling kid as a sacrifice for sin.
28 וְכִפֶּר הַכֹּהֵן עַל־הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַשֹּׁגֶגֶת בְּחֶטְאָה בִשְׁגָגָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְכַפֵּר עָלָיו וְנִסְלַח לֹו	28 The priest wil perform the rite of expiation before Yahweh for the person who has gone astray owingto this sin of inadvertence and, expiation having been made for him, he will be forgiven;
29 הָאֶזְרָח בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתֹוכָם תֹּורָה אַחַת יִהְיֶה לָכֶם לָעֹשֶׂה בִּשְׁגָגָה	29 whether he is an Israelite citizen or a resident alien, you wil have one law for anyone who sins byinadvertence.
30 וְהַנֶּפֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר־תַּעֲשֶׂה ׀ בְּיָד רָמָה מִן־הָאֶזְרָח וּמִן־הַגֵּר אֶת־יְהוָה הוּא מְגַדֵּף וְנִכְרְתָה הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִוא מִקֶּרֶב עַמָּהּ	30 "But the individual who acts deliberately, be he citizen or alien, commits an outrage against Yahweh,and such a man wil be outlawed from his people.
31 כִּי דְבַר־יְהוָה בָּזָה וְאֶת־מִצְוָתֹו הֵפַר הִכָּרֵת ׀ תִּכָּרֵת הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִוא עֲוֹנָה בָהּ׃ פ	31 Since he has treated Yahweh's word with contempt and has disobeyed his order, such a man wil beoutlawed absolutely and wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '
32 וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּמִּדְבָּר וַיִּמְצְאוּ אִישׁ מְקֹשֵׁשׁ עֵצִים בְּיֹום הַשַּׁבָּת	32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was caught gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
33 וַיַּקְרִיבוּ אֹתֹו הַמֹּצְאִים אֹתֹו מְקֹשֵׁשׁ עֵצִים אֶל־מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל־אַהֲרֹן וְאֶל כָּל־הָעֵדָה	33 Those who caught him gathering wood brought him before Moses, Aaron and the whole community.
34 וַיַּנִּיחוּ אֹתֹו בַּמִּשְׁמָר כִּי לֹא פֹרַשׁ מַה־יֵּעָשֶׂה לֹו׃ ס	34 He was kept in custody, because the penalty he should undergo had not yet been fixed.
35 וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה מֹות יוּמַת הָאִישׁ רָגֹום אֹתֹו בָאֲבָנִים כָּל־הָעֵדָה מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה	35 Yahweh said to Moses, 'This man must be put to death. The whole community will stone him outsidethe camp.'
36 וַיֹּצִיאוּ אֹתֹו כָּל־הָעֵדָה אֶל־מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה וַיִּרְגְּמוּ אֹתֹו בָּאֲבָנִים וַיָּמֹת כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ פ	36 The whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him til he was dead, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.
37 וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר	37 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
38 דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם וְעָשׂוּ לָהֶם צִיצִת עַל־כַּנְפֵי בִגְדֵיהֶם לְדֹרֹתָם וְנָתְנוּ עַל־צִיצִת הַכָּנָף פְּתִיל תְּכֵלֶת	38 'Speak to the Israelites and tell them, for all generations to come, to put tassels on the hems of theirclothes and work a violet thread into the tassel at the hem.
39 וְהָיָה לָכֶם לְצִיצִת וּרְאִיתֶם אֹתֹו וּזְכַרְתֶּם אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֹת יְהוָה וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם וְלֹא־תָתֻרוּ אַחֲרֵי לְבַבְכֶם וְאַחֲרֵי עֵינֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּם זֹנִים אַחֲרֵיהֶם	39 You wil thus have a tassel, and the sight of it wil remind you of al Yahweh's orders and how youare to put them into practice, and not follow the dictates of your own heart and eyes, which have led you to beunfaithful.
40 לְמַעַן תִּזְכְּרוּ וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֹתָי וִהְיִיתֶם קְדֹשִׁים לֵאלֹהֵיכֶם	40 'This wil remind you of all my orders; put them into practice, and you wil be consecrated to yourGod.
41 אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר הֹוצֵאתִי אֶתְכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לִהְיֹות לָכֶם לֵאלֹהִים אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃ פ	41 I, Yahweh your God, have brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh your God.'
