1 אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל רְאוּבֵן שִׁמְעֹון לֵוִי וִיהוּדָה יִשָׂשכָר וּזְבֻלוּן	1 These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.
2 דָּן יֹוסֵף וּבִנְיָמִן נַפְתָּלִי גָּד וְאָשֵׁר׃ ס	2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה עֵר וְאֹונָן וְשֵׁלָה שְׁלֹושָׁה נֹולַד לֹו מִבַּת־שׁוּעַ הַכְּנַעֲנִית וַיְהִי עֵר ׀ בְּכֹור יְהוּדָה רַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה וַיְמִיתֵהוּ׃ ס	3 Sons of Judah: Er, Onan and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitewoman. Er, Judah's first-born, displeased Yahweh who put him to death.
4 וְתָמָר כַּלָּתֹו יָלְדָה לֹּו אֶת־פֶּרֶץ וְאֶת־זָרַח כָּל־בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה חֲמִשָּׁה׃ ס	4 Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law, bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in al .
5 בְּנֵי־פֶרֶץ חֶצְרֹון וְחָמוּל׃ ס	5 Sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
6 וּבְנֵי זֶרַח זִמְרִי וְאֵיתָן וְהֵימָן וְכַלְכֹּל וָדָרַע כֻּלָּם חֲמִשָּׁה׃ ס	6 Sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol and Dara, five in all.
7 וּבְנֵי כַּרְמִי עָכָר עֹוכֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר מָעַל בַּחֵרֶם׃ ס	7 Sons of Carmi: Achar, who brought trouble on Israel by being unfaithful to the curse of destruction.
8 וּבְנֵי אֵיתָן עֲזַרְיָה	8 Sons of Ethan: Azariah.
9 וּבְנֵי חֶצְרֹון אֲשֶׁר נֹולַד־לֹו אֶת־יְרַחְמְאֵל וְאֶת־רָם וְאֶת־כְּלוּבָי	9 Sons of Hezron: there were born to him Jerahmeel, Ram, Chelubai.
10 וְרָם הֹולִיד אֶת־עַמִּינָדָב וְעַמִּינָדָב הֹולִיד אֶת־נַחְשֹׁון נְשִׂיא בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה	10 Ram fathered Amminadab, Amminadab fathered Nahshon chief of the sons of Judah,
11 וְנַחְשֹׁון הֹולִיד אֶת־שַׂלְמָא וְשַׂלְמָא הֹולִיד אֶת־בֹּעַז	11 Nahshon fathered Salma, Salma fathered Boaz.
12 וּבֹעַז הֹולִיד אֶת־עֹובֵד וְעֹובֵד הֹולִיד אֶת־יִשָׁי	12 Boaz fathered Obed, Obed fathered Jesse.
13 וְאִישַׁי הֹולִיד אֶת־בְּכֹרֹו אֶת־אֱלִיאָב וַאֲבִינָדָב הַשֵּׁנִי וְשִׁמְעָא הַשְּׁלִישִׁי	13 Jesse fathered Eliab, his first-born, Abinadab second, Shimea third,
14 נְתַנְאֵל הָרְבִיעִי רַדַּי הַחֲמִישִׁי	14 Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth,
15 אֹצֶם הַשִּׁשִּׁי דָּוִיד הַשְּׁבִעִי	15 Ozem sixth, David seventh.
16 [וְאַחְיֹתֵיהֶם כ] (וְאַחְיֹותֵיהֶם ק) צְרוּיָה וַאֲבִיגָיִל וּבְנֵי צְרוּיָה אַבְשַׁי וְיֹואָב וַעֲשָׂה־אֵל שְׁלֹשָׁה	16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. Sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab and Asahel: three.
17 וַאֲבִיגַיִל יָלְדָה אֶת־עֲמָשָׂא וַאֲבִי עֲמָשָׂא יֶתֶר הַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִי	17 Abigail gave birth to Amasa; father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 וְכָלֵב בֶּן־חֶצְרֹון הֹולִיד אֶת־עֲזוּבָה אִשָּׁה וְאֶת־יְרִיעֹות וְאֵלֶּה בָנֶיהָ יֵשֶׁר וְשֹׁובָב וְאַרְדֹּון	18 Caleb son of Hezron fathered Jerioth by Azubah his wife; these are her sons: Jesher, Shobab andArdon.
19 וַתָּמָת עֲזוּבָה וַיִּקַּח־לֹו כָלֵב אֶת־אֶפְרָת וַתֵּלֶד לֹו אֶת־חוּר	19 Azubah died, and Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
20 וְחוּר הֹולִיד אֶת־אוּרִי וְאוּרִי הֹולִיד אֶת־בְּצַלְאֵל׃ ס	20 Hur fathered Uri, Uri fathered Bezalel.
21 וְאַחַר בָּא חֶצְרֹון אֶל־בַּת־מָכִיר אֲבִי גִלְעָד וְהוּא לְקָחָהּ וְהוּא בֶּן־שִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַתֵּלֶד לֹו אֶת־שְׂגוּב	21 Afterwards, Hezron married the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead; he married her when he wassixty years old and she bore him Segub.
22 וּשְׂגוּב הֹולִיד אֶת־יָאִיר וַיְהִי־לֹו עֶשְׂרִים וְשָׁלֹושׁ עָרִים בְּאֶרֶץ הַגִּלְעָד	22 Segub fathered Jair who held twenty-three towns in the territory of Gilead.
23 וַיִּקַּח גְּשׁוּר־וַאֲרָם אֶת־חַוֹּת יָאִיר מֵאִתָּם אֶת־קְנָת וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֶיהָ שִׁשִּׁים עִיר כָּל־אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי מָכִיר אֲבִי־גִלְעָד	23 From them, however, Geshur and Aram took the Encampments of Jair and Kenath with itsdependencies: sixty towns. All these used to belong to the sons of Machir father of Gilead.
24 וְאַחַר מֹות־חֶצְרֹון בְּכָלֵב אֶפְרָתָה וְאֵשֶׁת חֶצְרֹון אֲבִיָּה וַתֵּלֶד לֹו אֶת־אַשְׁחוּר אֲבִי תְקֹועַ	24 After Hezron's death, Caleb married Ephrathah, wife of Hezron his father, who bore him Ashhur fatherof Tekoa.
25 וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי־יְרַחְמְאֵל בְּכֹור חֶצְרֹון הַבְּכֹור ׀ רָם וּבוּנָה וָאֹרֶן וָאֹצֶם אֲחִיָּה	25 Jerahmeel, Hezron's eldest son, fathered Hezron, his first-born, Ram, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, Ahijah.
26 וַתְּהִי אִשָּׁה אַחֶרֶת לִירַחְמְאֵל וּשְׁמָהּ עֲטָרָה הִיא אֵם אֹונָם׃ ס	26 Jerahmeel had another wife called Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי־רָם בְּכֹור יְרַחְמְאֵל מַעַץ וְיָמִין וָעֵקֶר	27 Sons of Ram, Jerahmeel's first-born: Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
28 וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי־אֹונָם שַׁמַּי וְיָדָע וּבְנֵי שַׁמַּי נָדָב וַאֲבִישׁוּר	28 Sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. Sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29 וְשֵׁם אֵשֶׁת אֲבִישׁוּר אֲבִיהָיִל וַתֵּלֶד לֹו אֶת־אַחְבָּן וְאֶת־מֹולִיד	29 Abishur's wife was cal ed Abihail; she bore him Ahban and Molid.
30 וּבְנֵי נָדָב סֶלֶד וְאַפָּיִם וַיָּמָת סֶלֶד לֹא בָנִים׃ ס	30 Sons of Nadab: Seled and Ephraim. Seled died leaving no son.
31 וּבְנֵי אַפַּיִם יִשְׁעִי וּבְנֵי יִשְׁעִי שֵׁשָׁן וּבְנֵי שֵׁשָׁן אַחְלָי	31 Son of Ephraim: Ishi; son of Ishi: Sheshan; son of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32 וּבְנֵי יָדָע אֲחִי שַׁמַּי יֶתֶר וְיֹונָתָן וַיָּמָת יֶתֶר לֹא בָנִים׃ ס	32 Sons of Jada, Shammai's brother: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died leaving no sons.
33 וּבְנֵי יֹונָתָן פֶּלֶת וְזָזָא אֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי יְרַחְמְאֵל	33 Sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 וְלֹא־הָיָה לְשֵׁשָׁן בָּנִים כִּי אִם־בָּנֹות וּלְשֵׁשָׁן עֶבֶד מִצְרִי וּשְׁמֹו יַרְחָע	34 Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. He had an Egyptian slave Jarha
35 וַיִּתֵּן שֵׁשָׁן אֶת־בִּתֹּו לְיַרְחָע עַבְדֹּו לְאִשָּׁה וַתֵּלֶד לֹו אֶת־עַתָּי	35 to whom Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage. She bore him Attai.
36 וְעַתַּי הֹלִיד אֶת־נָתָן וְנָתָן הֹולִיד אֶת־זָבָד	36 Attai fathered Nathan, Nathan fathered Zabad,
37 וְזָבָד הֹולִיד אֶת־אֶפְלָל וְאֶפְלָל הֹולִיד אֶת־עֹובֵד	37 Zabad fathered Ephlal, Ephlal fathered Obed,
38 וְעֹובֵד הֹולִיד אֶת־יֵהוּא וְיֵהוּא הֹולִיד אֶת־עֲזַרְיָה	38 Obed fathered Jehu, Jehu fathered Azariah,
39 וַעֲזַרְיָה הֹלִיד אֶת־חָלֶץ וְחֶלֶץ הֹלִיד אֶת־אֶלְעָשָׂה	39 Azariah fathered Helez, Helez fathered Eleasah,
40 וְאֶלְעָשָׂה הֹלִיד אֶת־סִסְמָי וְסִסְמַי הֹלִיד אֶת־שַׁלּוּם	40 Eleasah fathered Sismai, Sismai fathered Shal um,
41 וְשַׁלּוּם הֹולִיד אֶת־יְקַמְיָה וִיקַמְיָה הֹלִיד אֶת־אֱלִישָׁמָע	41 Shallum fathered Jekamiah, Jekamiah fathered Elishama.
42 וּבְנֵי כָלֵב אֲחִי יְרַחְמְאֵל מֵישָׁע בְּכֹרֹו הוּא אֲבִי־זִיף וּבְנֵי מָרֵשָׁה אֲבִי חֶבְרֹון	42 Sons of Caleb, Jerahmeel's brother: Mesha, his first-born, who fathered Ziph. His son was Mareshah,father of Hebron.
43 וּבְנֵי חֶבְרֹון קֹרַח וְתַפֻּחַ וְרֶקֶם וָשָׁמַע	43 Sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema.
44 וְשֶׁמַע הֹולִיד אֶת־רַחַם אֲבִי יָרְקֳעָם וְרֶקֶם הֹולִיד אֶת־שַׁמָּי	44 Shema fathered Raham, father of Jorkeam. Rekem fathered Shammai.
45 וּבֶן־שַׁמַּי מָעֹון וּמָעֹון אֲבִי בֵית־צוּר	45 Shammai's son was Maon, and Maon fathered Beth-Zur.
46 וְעֵיפָה פִּילֶגֶשׁ כָּלֵב יָלְדָה אֶת־חָרָן וְאֶת־מֹוצָא וְאֶת־גָּזֵז וְחָרָן הֹלִיד אֶת־גָּזֵז׃ ס	46 Ephah, Caleb's concubine, gave birth to Haran, Moza and Gazez. Haran fathered Gazez.
47 וּבְנֵי יָהְדָּי רֶגֶם וְיֹותָם וְגֵישָׁן וָפֶלֶט וְעֵיפָה וָשָׁעַף	47 Sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah and Shaaph.
48 פִּלֶגֶשׁ כָּלֵב מַעֲכָה יָלַד שֶׁבֶר וְאֶת־תִּרְחֲנָה	48 Maacah, Caleb's concubine, gave birth to Sheber and Tirhanah.
49 וַתֵּלֶד עַף אֲבִי מַדְמַנָּה אֶת־שְׁוָא אֲבִי מַכְבֵּנָה וַאֲבִי גִבְעָא וּבַת־כָּלֵב עַכְסָה׃ ס	49 She gave birth to Shaaph, who fathered Madmannah, and Sheva, who fathered Machbenah andGibea. The daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50 אֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי כָלֵב בֶּן־חוּר בְּכֹור אֶפְרָתָה שֹׁובָל אֲבִי קִרְיַת יְעָרִים	50 These were the sons of Caleb. Sons of Hur, the first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal fathered Kiriath-Jearim;
51 שַׂלְמָא אֲבִי בֵית־לָחֶם חָרֵף אֲבִי בֵית־גָּדֵר	51 Salma fathered Bethlehem; Hareph fathered Beth-Gader.
52 וַיִּהְיוּ בָנִים לְשֹׁובָל אֲבִי קִרְיַת יְעָרִים הָרֹאֶה חֲצִי הַמְּנֻחֹות	52 Shobal, father of Kiriath-Jearim, had sons: Haroeh, that is, half of the Manahathites,
53 וּמִשְׁפְּחֹות קִרְיַת יְעָרִים הַיִּתְרִי וְהַפּוּתִי וְהַשֻּׁמָתִי וְהַמִּשְׁרָעִי מֵאֵלֶּה יָצְאוּ הַצָּרְעָתִי וְהָאֶשְׁתָּאֻלִי׃ ס	53 and the clans of Kiriath-Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites and Mishraites. Their descendantsare the people of Zorah and Eshtaol.
54 בְּנֵי שַׂלְמָא בֵּית לֶחֶם וּנְטֹופָתִי עַטְרֹות בֵּית יֹואָב וַחֲצִי הַמָּנַחְתִּי הַצָּרְעִי	54 Sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth-Joab, half of the Manahathites, theZorathites,
55 וּמִשְׁפְּחֹות סֹפְרִים [יֹשְׁבוּ כ] (יֹשְׁבֵי ק) יַעְבֵּץ תִּרְעָתִים שִׁמְעָתִים שׂוּכָתִים הֵמָּה הַקִּינִים הַבָּאִים מֵחַמַּת אֲבִי בֵית־רֵכָב׃ ס	55 the Sophrite clans living at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. They were theKenites descended from Hammath, father of the House of Rechab.
