Levitico (لاويين) 17

SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 وكلم الرب موسى قائلا	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 كلم هرون وبنيه وجميع بني اسرائيل وقل لهم. هذا هو الامر الذي يوصي به الرب قائلا.	2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons and al the Israelites and say: "This is the order that Yahweh has given:
3 كل انسان من بيت اسرائيل يذبح بقرا او غنما او معزى في المحلّة او يذبح خارج المحلّة	3 "Any man of the House of Israel who slaughters a bull, lamb or goat, whether inside the camp oroutside it,
4 والى باب خيمة الاجتماع لا يأتي به ليقرّب قربانا للرب امام مسكن الرب يحسب على ذلك الانسان دم. قد سفك دما فيقطع ذلك الانسان من شعبه.	4 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to make an offering of it to Yahweh in front ofhis Dwel ing, that man wil be answerable for bloodshed; he has shed blood, and that man wil be outlawed fromhis people.
5 لكي يأتي بنو اسرائيل بذبائحهم التي يذبحونها على وجه الصحراء ويقدموها للرب الى باب خيمة الاجتماع الى الكاهن ويذبحوها ذبائح سلامة للرب.	5 The purpose of this is that the Israelites should instead bring their sacrifices, which they wouldotherwise offer in the countryside, to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and offer themas communion sacrifices to Yahweh;
6 ويرشّ الكاهن الدم على مذبح الرب لدى باب خيمة الاجتماع ويوقد الشحم لرائحة سرور للرب.	6 and the priest wil sprinkle the blood on Yahweh's altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and willburn the fat as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
7 ولا يذبحوا بعد ذبائحهم للتيوس التي هم يزنون وراءها. فريضة دهرية تكون هذه لهم في اجيالهم	7 No longer may they offer their sacrifices to the satyrs in whose service they used to prostitutethemselves. This is a perpetual law for them and for their descendants."
8 وتقول لهم. كل انسان من بيت اسرائيل ومن الغرباء الذين ينزلون في وسطكم يصعد محرقة او ذبيحة	8 'You will also say to them, "Any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien who offers a burntoffering or sacrifice
9 ولا يأتي بها الى باب خيمة الاجتماع ليصنعها للرب يقطع ذلك الانسان من شعبه.	9 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to offer it to Yahweh, will be outlawed from hispeople.
10 وكل انسان من بيت اسرائيل ومن الغرباء النازلين في وسطكم يأكل دما اجعل وجهي ضد النفس الآكلة الدم واقطعها من شعبها.	10 "If any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien consumes blood of any kind, I shal set myface against that individual who consumes blood and shal outlaw him from his people.
11 لان نفس الجسد هي في الدم فانا اعطيتكم اياه على المذبح للتكفير عن نفوسكم. لان الدم يكفّر عن النفس.	11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you for performing the rite of expiationon the altar for your lives, for blood is what expiates for a life.
12 لذلك قلت لبني اسرائيل لا تاكل نفس منكم دما ولا يأكل الغريب النازل في وسطكم دما.	12 That is why I told the Israelites: None of you wil consume blood, nor wil any resident alien consumeblood.
13 وكل انسان من بني اسرائيل ومن الغرباء النازلين في وسطكم يصطاد صيدا وحشا او طائرا يؤكل يسفك دمه ويغطيه بالتراب.	13 "Anyone, whether Israelite or resident alien, who hunts and catches game, whether animal or bird,which it is lawful to eat, must pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
14 لان نفس كل جسد دمه هو بنفسه. فقلت لبني اسرائيل لا تأكلوا دم جسد ما. لان نفس كل جسد هي دمه. كل من اكله يقطع.	14 For the life of every creature is its blood, and I have told the Israelites: You wil not consume theblood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood, and anyone who consumes it wil be outlawed.
15 وكل انسان يأكل ميتة او فريسة وطنيا كان او غريبا يغسل ثيابه ويستحم بماء ويبقى نجسا الى المساء ثم يكون طاهرا.	15 "Anyone, citizen or alien, who eats an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged, mustwash clothing and body, and wil be unclean until evening, but wil then be clean.
16 وان لم يغسل ولم يرحض جسده يحمل ذنبه	16 But anyone who does not wash clothing and body wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '
