Esdra (عزرا) 8

SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 وهؤلاء هم رؤوس آبائهم ونسبة الذين صعدوا معي في ملك ارتحشستا الملك من بابل.	1 These, with their genealogies, were the heads of families who set out from Babylon with me in the reignof King Artaxerxes:
2 من بني فينحاس جرشوم. من بني ايثامار دانيال. من بني داود حطوش.	2 Of the sons of Phinehas: Gershom; of the sons of Ithamar: Daniel; of the sons of David: Hattush
3 من بني شكنيا من بني فرعوش زكريا وانتسب معه من الذكور مئة وخمسون.	3 son of Shechaniah; of the sons of Parosh: Zechariah, and with him a hundred and fifty males officiallyregistered;
4 من بني فحث موآب اليهوعيناي بن زرحيا ومعه مئتان من الذكور.	4 of the sons of Pahath-Moab: Elioenai son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males;
5 من بني شكنيا ابن يحزيئيل ومعه ثلاث مئة من الذكور.	5 of the sons of Zattu: Shechaniah son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males;
6 من بني عادين عابد بن يوناثان ومعه خمسون من الذكور.	6 of the sons of Adin: Ebed son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males;
7 من بني عيلام يشعيا بن عثليا ومعه سبعون من الذكور.	7 of the sons of Elam: Jeshaiah son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males;
8 ومن بني شفطيا زبديا بن ميخائيل ومعه ثمانون من الذكور.	8 of the sons of Shephatiah: Zebadiah son of Michael, and with him eighty males;
9 من بني يوآب عوبديا بن يحيئيل ومعه مئتان وثمانية عشر من الذكور.	9 of the sons of Joab: Obadiah son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males;
10 ومن بني شلوميث ابن يوشفيا ومعه مئة وستون من الذكور.	10 of the sons of Bani: Shelomith son of Josiphiah, and with him a hundred and sixty males;
11 ومن بني باباي زكريا بن باباي ومعه ثمانية وعشرون من الذكور.	11 of the sons of Bebai: Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him twenty-eight males;
12 ومن بني عسجد يوحانان بن هقّاطان ومعه مئة وعشرة من الذكور.	12 of the sons of Azgad: Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him a hundred and ten males;
13 ومن بني ادونيقام الآخرين وهذه اسماؤهم اليفلط ويعيئيل وشمعيا ومعهم ستون من الذكور.	13 of the sons of Adonikam: the younger sons, whose names are: Eliphelet, Jeiel and Shemaiah, and withthem sixty males;
14 ومن بني بغواي عوتاي وزبّود ومعهما سبعون من الذكور	14 and of the sons of Bigvai: Uthai son of Zabud, and with him seventy males.
15 فجمعتهم الى النهر الجاري الى اهوا ونزلنا هناك ثلاثة ايام. وتأملت الشعب والكهنة ولكنني لم اجد احدا من اللاويين هناك.	15 I assembled them near the canal which runs to Ahava, where we camped for three days. I noticedlaymen and priests, but I could not discover any Levites there.
16 فارسلت الى اليعزر واريئيل وشمعيا والناثان وياريب والناثان وناثان وزكريا ومشلام الرؤوس والى يوياريب والناثان الفهيمين	16 I then sent for Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah and Meshullam,judicious men,
17 وارسلتهم الى ادّو الراس في المكان المسمى كسفيا وجعلت في افواههم كلاما يكلمون به ادّو واخوته النثينيم في المكان كسفيا ليأتوا الينا بخدام لبيت الهنا.	17 and sent them to Iddo, the leading man of a place cal ed Casiphia; I told them what they were to say toIddo and his kinsmen, living at the place cal ed Casiphia, that is, to provide us with people to serve the Temple ofour God.
18 فأتوا الينا حسب يد الله الصالحة علينا برجل فطن من بني محلي بن لاوي بن اسرائيل وشربيا وبنيه واخوته ثمانية عشر	18 And because the hand of God was good to us, they sent us a wise man of the sons of Mahli son ofLevi, son of Israel, a certain Sherebiah with his sons and kinsmen: eighteen men;
19 وحشبيا ومعه يشعيا من بني مراري واخوته وبنوهم عشرون.	19 also Hashabiah and with him his brother Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari with his kinsmen and sons:twenty men;
20 ومن النثينيم الذين جعلهم داود مع الرؤساء لخدمة اللاويين من النثينيم مئتين وعشرين. الجميع تعينوا باسمائهم.	20 and two hundred and twenty temple slaves -- descendants of the temple slaves whom David and theprinces had assigned to serve the Levites -- all of them designated by name.
21 وناديت هناك بصوم على نهر اهوا لكي نتذلل امام الهنا لنطلب منه طريقا مستقيمة لنا ولاطفالنا ولكل ما لنا.	21 There, beside the Ahava Canal, I then proclaimed a fast, to humble ourselves before our God and topray to him for a successful journey for us, our dependants and all our belongings.
22 لاني خجلت من ان اطلب من الملك جيشا وفرسانا لينجدونا على العدو في الطريق لاننا كلمنا الملك قائلين ان يد الهنا على كل طالبيه للخير. وصولته وغضبه على كل من يتركه.	22 For I should have been ashamed to ask the king for a company of cavalry to protect us from hostilepeople on our road, as we had already said to the king, 'The hand of our God is over al who seek him for theirprotection, but his mighty retribution befal s al those who forsake him.'
23 فصمنا وطلبنا ذلك من الهنا فاستجاب لنا.	23 So we fasted and pleaded with our God about this, and he heard us.
24 وافرزت من رؤساء الكهنة اثني عشر شربيا وحشبيا ومعهما من اخوتهما عشرة.	24 I next chose twelve of the leading priests, and also Sherebiah and Hashabiah with ten of their kinsmen.
25 ووزنت لهم الفضة والذهب والآنية تقدمة بيت الهنا التي قدمها الملك ومشيروه ورؤساؤه وجميع اسرائيل الموجودين.	25 To them I weighed out the silver, the gold and the utensils, the contributions which the king, hiscounsel ors, his notables and al the Israelites there present had made for the Temple of our God.
26 وزنت ليدهم ست مئة وخمسين وزنة من الفضة ومئة وزنة من آنية الفضة ومئة وزنة من الذهب	26 To them I weighed out and handed over six hundred and fifty talents of silver, one hundred utensils ofsilver valued at two talents, one hundred talents of gold,
27 وعشرين قدحا من الذهب الف درهم وآنية من نحاس صقيل جيد ثمين كالذهب.	27 twenty golden bowls valued at a thousand darics and two utensils of fine burnished copper as preciousas gold.
28 وقلت لهم انتم مقدسون للرب والآنية مقدسة والفضة والذهب تبرع للرب اله آبائكم.	28 I said to them, 'You are consecrated to Yahweh; these utensils are consecrated too; the silver and gold are a voluntary offering to Yahweh, God of your ancestors.
29 فاسهروا واحفظوها حتى تزنوها امام رؤساء الكهنة واللاويين ورؤساء آباء اسرائيل في اورشليم في مخادع بيت الرب.	29 Guard them carefully until you weigh them out to the leading priests, the Levites, and the heads offamilies of Israel in Jerusalem in the rooms of the Temple of Yahweh.'
30 فاخذ الكهنة واللاويون وزن الفضة والذهب والآنية ليأتوا بها الى اورشليم الى بيت الهنا	30 The priests and Levites then took charge of the silver, the gold and the utensils thus weighed, to bringthem to Jerusalem to the Temple of our God.
31 ثم رحلنا من نهر اهوا في الثاني عشر من الشهر الاول لنذهب الى اورشليم وكانت يد الهنا علينا فانقذنا من يد العدو والكامن على الطريق.	31 On the twelfth day of the first month we left the Ahava Canal to make our way to Jerusalem; the handof our God was over us and protected us from enemies and surprise attacks on our way.
32 فأتينا الى اورشليم واقمنا هناك ثلاثة ايام.	32 When we arrived in Jerusalem, we rested for three days.
33 وفي اليوم الرابع وزنت الفضة والذهب والآنية في بيت الهنا على يد مريموث بن اوريا الكاهن ومعه العازار بن فينحاس ومعهما يوزاباد بن يشوع ونوعديا بن بنّوي اللاويان.	33 On the fourth day the silver, the gold and the utensils were weighed in the Temple of our God andhanded over to the priest Meremoth son of Uriah and, with him, Eleazar son of Phinehas; with them were theLevites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.
34 بالعدد والوزن للكل وكتب كل الوزن في ذلك الوقت.	34 By number and weight al was there. The total weight was recorded at the same time.
35 وبنو السبي القادمون من السبي قرّبوا محرقات لاله اسرائيل اثني عشر ثورا عن كل اسرائيل وستة وتسعين كبشا وسبعة وسبعين خروفا واثني عشر تيسا ذبيحة خطية. الجميع محرقة للرب.	35 When the exiles arrived from their captivity, they offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel -- twelvebulls on behalf of all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-two lambs, and as a sin offering twelve he-goats: the wholeof this as a burnt offering to Yahweh.
36 واعطوا اوامر الملك لمرازبة الملك وولاة عبر النهر فاعانوا الشعب وبيت الله	36 They also delivered the king's instructions to the king's satraps and the governors of Transeuphrates,who then supported the people and the Temple of God.
