LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Besaleel fece l'arca di legno d'acacia, lunga due cubiti e mezzo, larga un cubito e mezzo e alta un cubito e mezzo.	1 Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide and oneand a half cubits high.
2 La ricoprì d'oro puro, dentro e fuori, e le fece intorno un bordo d'oro.	2 He overlaid it, inside and out, with pure gold, and made a gold moulding al round it.
3 Fuse per essa quattro anelli d'oro ai suoi quattro piedi: due anelli su un lato e due anelli sul suo secondo lato.	3 He cast four gold rings for it at its four supports: two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
4 Fece delle stanghe di legno d'acacia, le ricoprì d'oro	4 He also made shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold,
5 e introdusse le stanghe negli anelli ai lati dell'arca per trasportare l'arca.	5 and passed the shafts through the rings on the sides of the ark, by which to carry it.
6 Fece un propiziatorio d'oro puro, lungo due cubiti e mezzo e largo un cubito e mezzo.	6 He also made a mercy-seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide,
7 Fece due cherubini d'oro massiccio: li fece alle due estremità del propiziatorio.	7 and model ed two great winged creatures of beaten gold, putting them at the two ends of the mercy-seat,
8 Fece un cherubino da una parte e l'altro cherubino dall'altra parte del propiziatorio: fece i cherubini sulle sue due estremità.	8 one winged creature at one end and the other winged creature at the other end, making the wingedcreatures of a piece with the mercy-seat at either end.
9 I cherubini stendevano le ali verso l'alto, proteggendo con le loro ali il propiziatorio: erano rivolti l'uno verso l'altro e le facce dei cherubini erano rivolte verso il propiziatorio.	9 The winged creatures had their wings spread upwards, protecting the ark with their wings and facingeach other, their faces being towards the mercy-seat.
10 Fece una tavola in legno d'acacia, lunga due cubiti, larga un cubito e alta un cubito e mezzo.	10 He made the table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high,
11 La ricoprì d'oro puro e le fece intorno un bordo d'oro.	11 and made a gold moulding all round it.
12 Le fece intorno dei traversini di un palmo e fece un bordo d'oro intorno ai suoi traversini.	12 He fitted it with struts a hand's breadth wide and made a gold moulding round the struts.
13 Fuse per essa quattro anelli d'oro e pose gli anelli ai quattro angoli che sono ai suoi quattro piedi.	13 He cast four gold rings for it and fixed the rings at the four corners where the four legs were.
14 Accanto ai traversini erano gli anelli per contenere le stanghe per sollevare la tavola.	14 The rings lay close to the struts to hold the shafts for carrying the table.
15 Fece le stanghe in legno d'acacia e le ricoprì d'oro per sollevare la tavola.	15 He made the shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold; these were for carrying the table.
16 Fece gli oggetti che erano sulla tavola d'oro puro: i suoi piatti, le sue coppe, le sue anfore e le sue tazze, con cui si fanno le libazioni.	16 He made the accessories which were to go on the table: its dishes, cups, jars and libation bowls, ofpure gold.
17 Fece il candelabro d'oro puro: lo fece d'oro massiccio, con il suo tronco e i suoi rami; aveva i suoi calici, le sue corolle e i suoi fiori.	17 He also made the lamp-stand of pure gold, making the lamp-stand, base and stem, of beaten gold,its cups, calyxes and bud being of a piece with it.

Così per i sei rami che uscivano dal candelabro.	19 The first branch carried three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud; thesecond branch, too, carried three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud, and similarlyal six branches springing from the lamp-stand.
20 Il candelabro aveva quattro calici in forma di mandorlo, con le loro corolle e i loro fiori:	20 The lamp-stand itself carried four cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud:
21 una corolla sotto due rami uscenti da esso, una corolla sotto gli altri due rami uscenti da esso e una corolla sotto gli ultimi due rami uscenti da esso: così per i sei rami che uscivano dal candelabro.	21 one calyx under the first two branches springing from the lamp-stand, one calyx under the next pairof branches and one calyx under the last pair of branches -- thus for al six branches springing from the lamp-stand.
22 Le sue corolle e i suoi rami formavano un tutt'uno massiccio d'oro puro.	22 The calyxes and the branches were of a piece with the lamp-stand, and the whole was made from asingle piece of pure gold, beaten out.
23 Fece le sue sette lampade, i suoi smoccolatoi e i suoi portacenere d'oro puro.	23 He also made its seven lamps, its snuffers and trays of pure gold.
24 Impiegò un talento d'oro puro per esso e per tutti i suoi oggetti.	24 He made the lamp-stand and all its accessories from a talent of pure gold.
25 Fece un altare per far fumare l'incenso in legno d'acacia, lungo un cubito, largo un cubito, quadrato, alto due cubiti, munito dei suoi corni.	25 He made the altar of incense of acacia wood, one cubit long, and one cubit wide -- it was square --and two cubits high, its horns were of a piece with it.
26 Ricoprì d'oro puro il suo ripiano superiore, i suoi lati intorno e i suoi corni; e gli fece intorno una bordatura d'oro.	26 He overlaid its top, its sides al round and its horns with pure gold and made a moulding to go alround.
27 Gli fece due anelli d'oro sotto la sua bordatura, sui due fianchi, cioè sui due lati opposti per introdurvi le stanghe con le quali portarlo.	27 He made two gold rings for it below the moulding on its two opposite sides, to take the shafts usedfor carrying it.
28 Fece le stanghe in legno d'acacia e le ricoprì d'oro.	28 He made the shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.
29 Fece l'olio dell'unzione santa e l'incenso profumato, puro, opera di profumiere.	29 He also made the holy anointing oil and the fragrant incense, blending it as a perfumer would.
