Ezekiel 28

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 E disse Iddio a me:
2 "Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because your heart is proud, and you have said, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,' yet you are but a man, and no god, though you consider yourself as wise as a god--	2 O figliuolo d' uomo, di' al principe di Tiro: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: però che lo tuo cuore è inalzato, e dicesti: io sono Iddio, e ho seduto nella cattedra di Dio nel cuore del mare; conciosia cosa che tu sii uomo, e non Iddio, e dèsti lo tuo cuore come lo cuore di Dio;
3 you are indeed wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you;	3 ecco, che tu se' più savio che Daniello; niuno secreto è nascosto a te.
4 by your wisdom and your understanding you have gotten wealth for yourself, and have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries;	4 Tu facesti a te la fortezza colla tua sapienza e colla tua prudenza, e radunasti l'oro e l'argento (a te) nelli tuoi tesori.
5 by your great wisdom in trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth--	5 Con la moltitudine della tua sapienza e con la tua mercatanzia moltiplicasti la fortezza; ed è innalzato lo tuo cuore nella tua fortezza.
6 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you consider yourself as wise as a god,	6 Però (che) questo dice lo Signore Iddio: però che lo cuor tuo è elevato, come quasi lo cuor di Dio;
7 therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon you, the most terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor.	7 però, ecco, io adducerò sopra te li strani uomini, robustissimi delle genti, e isguaineranno li suoi coltelli sopra la bellezza della tua sapienza, e corromperanno la tua bellezza.
8 They shall thrust you down into the Pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas.	8 Uccideranno te, e biasimerannoíi; e morrai nel perdimento delli uccisi nel cuore del mare.
9 Will you still say, 'I am a god,' in the presence of those who slay you, though you are but a man, and no god, in the hands of those who wound you?	9 Or dunque dicendo tu parlerai (e dirai): io sono Iddio, inanzi a quelli che ti uccideranno, conciosiacosa che tu sii uomo, e non Iddio, nella mano delli uccidenti te?
10 You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of foreigners; for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD."	10 Morrai di morte delli incirconcisi nella mano delli stranieri; però ch' io hoe parlato, dice lo Signore Iddio.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me:	11 E disse Iddio a me: o figliuolo d' uomo, leva lo pianto sopra lo re di Tiro.
12 "Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.	12 E dirai a lui: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: tu fusti segnacolo di similitudine, pieno di sapienza, perfetto di bellezza.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, carnelian, topaz, and jasper, chrysolite, beryl, and onyx, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and wrought in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared.	13 E fusti nelle dilettanze del paradiso di Dio; ogni pietra preziosa era tuo coprimento, cioè sardio, topazio, iaspide, crisolito, onice, berillo, saffiro, carboncolo e smaragdo, e oro l'operazione della tua bellezza; e li tuoi forami sono apparecchiati nel dì che tu se' composta.
14 With an anointed guardian cherub I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.	14 Tu se' Cherubino disteso e difendente, e puosi te nel monte santo di Dio; nel mezzo delle pietre del fuoco tu andasti.
15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you.	15 Perfetto in tutte le tue vie dal dì della condizione [tua], infino a tanto che fu trovata la iniquità in te.
16 In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire.	16 Nella moltitudine della tua mercatanzia ripiene furono le tue interiora di iniquitade, e peccasti; e cacciai te del santo monte di Dio, e perdeo te, o Cherubino (andante e) difendente, del mezzo delle pietre del fuoco.
17 Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you.	17 E lo tuo cuore s' alzoe nella tua bellezza, e perdesti la tua sapienza nella tua bellezza; tu ti gittasti in terra, e io ti puosi inanzi alla faccia delli re, acciò ch' egli ti guardassono.
18 By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries; so I brought forth fire from the midst of you; it consumed you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you.	18 Nella moltitudine delle tue iniquitadi, e nella malvagità della tua mercatanzia, corrompesti la tua santificazione; adunque io producerò lo fuoco di mezzo di te, lo quale manuchi te, e darò te come cenere sopra la terra nel conspetto de' vedenti te.
19 All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have come to a dreadful end and shall be no more for ever."	19 Tutti quelli che ti vedranno tra le genti, si maraviglieranno sopra te; tu se' fatto nulla, e non sarai in perpetuo.
20 The word of the LORD came to me:	20 E disse Iddio a me:
21 "Son of man, set your face toward Sidon, and prophesy against her	21 O figliuolo d' uomo, poni la tua faccia contro a Sidonia (cioè nella contrada), e profeterai di lei.
22 and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I am against you, O Sidon, and I will manifest my glory in the midst of you. And they shall know that I am the LORD when I execute judgments in her, and manifest my holiness in her;	22 E dirai questo dice lo Signore Iddio (a te, Sidonia): ecco, io a te, Sidonia, e sarò glorificato nel mezzo di te; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio, quando averò fatto in lei i miei giudicii, e sarò istato santificato in lei.
23 for I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets; and the slain shall fall in the midst of her, by the sword that is against her on every side. Then they will know that I am the LORD.	23 Manderò in lei pestilenza, e sangue nelle piazze sue; e cadranno morti in lo mezzo di lei, morti di coltello per lo circuito; e sapranno ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
24 "And for the house of Israel there shall be no more a brier to prick or a thorn to hurt them among all their neighbors who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the Lord GOD.	24 E la casa d' Israel non averà più offesa d'amaritudine, nè ispina che dia dolore d'ogni parte per lo circuito loro, i quali contrariano a loro; e sapranno ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
25 "Thus says the Lord GOD: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they shall dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob.	25 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: quando io averò radunato la casa d' Israel de' popoli tra li quali io [li] dispersi, sarò santificato in loro inanzi alle genti; e abiteranno nella terra loro, la quale io diedi a Iacob servo mio;
26 And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God."	26 E abiteranno in lei securi, ed edificheranno le case, e pianteranno le vigne, e abiteranno con confidanza, quando io averò fatto giudicio in tutti quelli che contrariano per lo circuito; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio.
