Ezekiel 12

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 "Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see, but see not, who have ears to hear, but hear not;	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, ti trovi in mezzo a una casa ribelle; hanno occhi per vedere e non vedono e orecchie per sentire e non sentono: sono una casa ribelle.
3 for they are a rebellious house. Therefore, son of man, prepare for yourself an exile's baggage, and go into exile by day in their sight; you shall go like an exile from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house.	3 Tu, figlio dell'uomo, fatti un bagaglio da esule e fingi di andare in esilio, di giorno, sotto i loro occhi; emigrerai da casa tua a un qualsiasi luogo sotto i loro occhi: caso mai vedessero che sono una casa ribelle.
4 You shall bring out your baggage by day in their sight, as baggage for exile; and you shall go forth yourself at evening in their sight, as men do who must go into exile.	4 Trasporterai fuori il bagaglio come quello degli esuli, di giorno, sotto i loro occhi, poi, di sera, uscirai sotto i loro occhi come escono gli esuli;
5 Dig through the wall in their sight, and go out through it.	5 sotto i loro occhi sfonda la parete ed esci attraverso di essa.
6 In their sight you shall lift the baggage upon your shoulder, and carry it out in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you may not see the land; for I have made you a sign for the house of Israel."	6 Sotto i loro occhi ti metterai il bagaglio in spalla; col buio uscirai, velandoti la faccia, per non vedere il paese. Infatti ti ho stabilito come segnale per la casa d'Israele".
7 And I did as I was commanded. I brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands; I went forth in the dark, carrying my outfit upon my shoulder in their sight.	7 Io feci come mi era stato ordinato, portai fuori il bagaglio da esule di giorno; alla sera sfondai con le mani la parete, col buio uscii, misi il bagaglio in spalla sotto i loro occhi.
8 In the morning the word of the LORD came to me:	8 Al mattino mi giunse la parola del Signore:
9 "Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, 'What are you doing?'	9 "Figlio dell'uomo, la casa d'Israele, casa ribelle, ti domanda cosa stai facendo?
10 Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: This oracle concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are in it.'	10 Rispondi loro: Così parla Dio, mio Signore: "Quest'oracolo è per il principe di Gerusalemme, e per tutta la casa d'Israele che vi abita".
11 Say, 'I am a sign for you: as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.'	11 Di': Io sono un segnale per voi; come ho fatto io, così si farà a loro, andranno in esilio, in prigione.
12 And the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; he shall dig through the wall and go out through it; he shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes.	12 Il principe in mezzo a voi si metterà il bagaglio in spalla, col buio uscirà, sfonderanno il muro perché possa scappare, si velerà la faccia per non vedere il suo paese.
13 And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Chaldeans, yet he shall not see it; and he shall die there.	13 Ma gli tenderò la mia rete e sarà preso al laccio; quindi lo condurrò a Babilonia, il paese dei Caldei: egli non lo vedrà, eppure vi morirà.
14 And I will scatter toward every wind all who are round about him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will unsheathe the sword after them.	14 Tutti quelli del suo seguito, i suoi sostenitori, le sue schiere le disperderò a ogni vento e snuderò una spada dietro a loro.
15 And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries.	15 Riconosceranno allora che io sono il Signore, quando li avrò disseminati tra le genti e li avrò dispersi per il mondo;
16 But I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, that they may confess all their abominations among the nations where they go, and may know that I am the LORD."	16 tuttavia ne risparmierò un piccolo numero dalla spada, dalla fame e dalla peste, perché raccontino tutte le loro abominazioni tra le genti dove saranno finiti. Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore".
17 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me:	17 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
18 "Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink water with trembling and with fearfulness;	18 "Figlio dell'uomo, mangerai il tuo pane con tremore e berrai la tua acqua con trepidazione e sgomento.
19 and say of the people of the land, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink water in dismay, because their land will be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who dwell in it.	19 Poi dirai alla popolazione: Così dice Dio, mio Signore, a proposito degli abitanti di Gerusalemme, nel paese d'Israele: Mangeranno il loro pane con sgomento e berranno la loro acqua con terrore, al punto che il loro paese sarà devastato nei suoi beni, a causa della violenza di tutti i suoi abitanti.
20 And the inhabited cities shall be laid waste, and the land shall become a desolation; and you shall know that I am the LORD."	20 Le città abitate saranno devastate e il paese rimarrà una desolazione, così riconoscerete che io sono il Signore".
21 And the word of the LORD came to me:	21 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
22 "Son of man, what is this proverb that you have about the land of Israel, saying, 'The days grow long, and every vision comes to nought?	22 "Figlio dell'uomo, cos'è questo vostro detto sul paese d'Israele: "Il numero di giorni si allunga e le visioni falliscono"?
23 Tell them therefore, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.' But say to them, The days are at hand, and the fulfilment of every vision.	23 Tu perciò riferisci loro: Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Faccio cessare questo detto; non lo diranno più in Israele. Anzi di' loro: Sono vicini i giorni e l'attuazione di ogni visione.
24 For there shall be no more any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.	24 Oh, certo, non ci sarà più nessuna falsa visione o divinazione illusoria in mezzo alla casa d'Israele.
25 But I the LORD will speak the word which I will speak, and it will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, but in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, says the Lord GOD."	25 Invece io, il Signore, parlerò; la parola che dirò si attuerà, non sarà più rinviata. Sì, nei vostri giorni, casa ribelle, dirò una parola e l'attuerò. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore".
26 Again the word of the LORD came to me:	26 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
27 "Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, 'The vision that he sees is for many days hence, and he prophesies of times far off.'	27 "Figlio dell'uomo, ecco, quelli della casa d'Israele dicono: "La visione che ha visto richiede molto tempo; egli profetizza per un futuro lontano".
28 Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word which I speak will be performed, says the Lord GOD."	28 Tu perciò di' loro: Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Non sarà più rinviata la mia parola: la parola che dirò si attuerà. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore".
