Jeremiah 45

1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the dictation of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:	1 Palabra que el profeta Jeremías dirigió a Baruc, hijo de Nerías, cuando él, bajo el dictado de Jeremías, escribía estas palabras en un rollo, en el cuarto año de Joaquím, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá:
2 "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to you, O Baruch:	2 «Así habla el Señor, el Dios de Israel, acerca de ti, Baruc:
3 You said, 'Woe is me! for the LORD has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.'	3 Tú dices: «¡Pobre de mí, porque el Señor añade aflicción a mi dolor! ¡Estoy cansado de gemir, y no encuentro descanso!».
4 Thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD: Behold, what I have built I am breaking down, and what I have planted I am plucking up--that is, the whole land.	4 Esto es lo que le dirás a Baruc: Así habla el Señor: Lo que había edificado, lo voy a demoler; lo que había plantado, lo voy a arrancar.
5 And do you seek great things for yourself? Seek them not; for, behold, I am bringing evil upon all flesh, says the LORD; but I will give you your life as a prize of war in all places to which you may go."	5 ¡Tú buscas para ti grandes cosas! No las busques más, porque yo haré venir una desgracia sobre todo ser viviente –oráculo del Señor– pero yo no haré que tú conserves la vida como botín dondequiera que vayas».
