Isaiah 35

1 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom; like the crocus	1 Il deserto la terra senza vie sarà piena di letizia, la solitudine tripudierà, fiorirà come giglio.
2 it shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, the majesty of our God.	2 Si coprirà di fiori, esulterà, canterà piena di gioia: a lei sarà data la gloria del Libano, lo splendore del Carmelo e ai Saron: essi vedranno la gloria del Signore, la magnificenza del nostro Dio.
3 Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.	3 Fortificate le mani deboli, rinfrancate le ginocchia tremanti;
4 Say to those who are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you."	4 dite ai pusillanimi: — Fatevi coraggio; non temete: ecco il vostro Dio, Egli farà le meritate ven­dette: Dio stesso verrà e vi sal­verà.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped;	5 Allora gli occhi dei cie­chi si apriranno, si apriranno le orecchie dei sordi.
6 then shall the lame man leap like a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing for joy. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;	6 Lo zoppo sal­terà come un cervo, sarà sciolta la lingua dei muti. Le acque sgorgheranno nel deserto, i torrenti nella solitudine;
7 the burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; the haunt of jackals shall become a swamp, the grass shall become reeds and rushes.	7 e la terra che fu arida diventerà un lago, la terra riarsa avrà abbondanza di sorgenti; e dove prima erano i covili dei dragoni, verdeggerà la canna e il giunco,
8 And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not pass over it, and fools shall not err therein.	8 vi sarà un sentiero, una via; la via sarà chiamata santa. Non vi passerà l'immondo. Quella sarà per voi la diretta via: chi la segue, anche se ignorante, non potrà sbagliare.
9 No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there.	9 In essa non vi saranno leoni, nè bestia malefica vi metterà piede, non vi si troverà; ma vi cammineranno quei che saran liberati.
10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.	10 E i redenti dal Signore torneranno, verranno a Sion cantando laudi, coronati d'eterna letizia, saran pieni di gioia e d'allegrezza, il dolore e il pianto fuggirà da loro.
