1 Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, and stored the silver, the gold, and all the vessels in the treasuries of the house of God.	1 Così fu compiuto tutto il lavoro che Salomone fece eseguire per il tempio del Signore. Allora Salomone vi introdusse gli oggetti consacrati da Davide, suo padre, mentre l'argento, l'oro e ogni suppellettile li depositò nel tesoro del tempio di Dio.
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers' houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.	2 Allora Salomone convocò in Gerusalemme gli anziani d'Israele, tutti i capi delle tribù e i prìncipi delle famiglie israelite per trasportare l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore dalla Città di Davide, cioè da Sion.
3 And all the men of Israel assembled before the king at the feast which is in the seventh month.	3 Si radunarono presso il re tutti gli uomini d'Israele per la festa che cade nel settimo mese.
4 And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.	4 Giunti tutti gli anziani d'Israele, i leviti sollevarono l'arca.
5 And they brought up the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.	5 Portarono su l'arca, la tenda del convegno e tutti gli oggetti sacri che erano nella tenda. Li trasportarono i sacerdoti leviti.
6 And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.	6 Il re Salomone e tutta l'assemblea d'Israele, convenuta presso di lui davanti all'arca, immolarono pecore e buoi, in numero tale da non potersi né contare né calcolare.
7 So the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the most holy place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.	7 I sacerdoti introdussero l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore nel suo posto, nella cella del tempio, nel santo dei santi, sotto le ali dei cherubini.
8 For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim made a covering above the ark and its poles.	8 I cherubini infatti stendevano le due ali sul luogo dell'arca e coprivano l'arca e le sue stanghe dall'alto.
9 And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place before the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside; and they are there to this day.	9 Le stanghe poi erano così lunghe che le loro estremità erano visibili dal santo di fronte alla cella, ma non erano visibili dal di fuori; esse sono rimaste lì fino ad oggi.
10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the people of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.	10 Nell'arca non c'era nulla all'infuori delle due tavole che Mosè aveva dato sull'Oreb, le tavole dell'alleanza, che il Signore aveva concluso con gl'Israeliti quando uscirono dall'Egitto.
11 Now when the priests came out of the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to their divisions;	11 Poi i sacerdoti uscirono dal santo. Tutti i sacerdoti che vi si trovavano si erano santificati senza osservare l'ordine delle classi.
12 and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, their sons and kinsmen, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, stood east of the altar with a hundred and twenty priests who were trumpeters;	12 Mentre i leviti cantori al completo, Asaf, Eman, Idutun, con i loro figli e i loro fratelli rivestiti di bisso, stavano ad oriente dell'altare suonando cembali, arpe e cetre, centoventi sacerdoti insieme a loro suonavano le trombe.
13 and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the LORD, "For he is good, for his steadfast love endures for ever," the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,	13 Quando tutti insieme, trombettieri e cantori, fecero udire la loro voce all'unisono per lodare e celebrare il Signore, quando alzarono la voce al suono delle trombe, dei cembali e di altri strumenti musicali lodando il Signore, "perché è buono, perché eternamente dura il suo amore", allora il tempio si riempì di una nube, della gloria del Signore,
14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.	14 così che i sacerdoti non poterono rimanere nel loro servizio a causa della nube, giacché la gloria del Signore aveva riempito il tempio di Dio.
