Hosea 6

1 In their tribulation, they will arise early to me. Come, let us return to the Lord.	1 Nella loro tribolazione si alzeran subito per tornare a me. Su via torniamo al Signore:
2 For he has seized us, and he will heal us. He will strike, and he will cure us.	2 lui, che ci ha feriti, ci guarirà; ci ha percossi e ci curerà;
3 He will revive us after two days; on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live in his sight. We will understand, and we will continue on, so that we may know the Lord. His landing place has been prepared like the first light of morning, and he will come to us like the early and the late rains of the land.	3 dopo due giorni ci farà rivivere, il terzo giorno ci farà risuscitare, e noi vivremo dinanzi a lui. Lo conosceremo, lo impareremo a conoscere il Signore. La sua venuta è preparata come quella dell'aurora, e verrà a noi come la pioggia di primavera e di autunno.
4 What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? Your mercy is like the morning mist, and like the dew passing away in the morning.	4 Che devo farti, o Efraim? Che devo farti, o Giuda? La vostra bontà è come nuvola, mattutina, come rugiada che al mattino sparisce.
5 Because of this, I have cut them with the prophets, I have slain them with the words of my mouth; and your opinions will depart like the light.	5 Per questo io li feci in pezzi coi miei profeti, li uccisi colle parole della mia bocca. E la tua condanna verrà fuori come la luce,
6 For I desired mercy and not sacrifice, and knowledge of God more than holocausts.	6 perchè io voglio la misericordia e non il sacrifizio, la conoscenza di Dio più degli olocausti.
7 But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; in this, they have been dishonest with me.	7 Ma essi come Adamo han violato il mio patto, han prevaricato contro di me.
8 Gilead is a city that manufactures idols; it has been tripped up by family relations.	8 Galaad, città di fabbricatori d'idoli, è distrutta pel sangue,
9 And, like those who rob with skillful words, they, by conspiring with the priests, bring a death sentence to travelers on a pilgrimage from Shechem; for they have been performing evil deeds.	9 e come le fauci dei ladroni s'è unita ai sacerdoti che per la via uccidon quindi chi vengon da Sichem, perchè si son dati al delitto.
10 I have seen horrible things in the house of Israel; the fornications of Ephraim are there. Israel has been contaminated.	10 Orribili cose ho viste nella casa d'Israele: ivi le fornicazioni d'Efraim: Israele s'è contaminato.
11 But you, Judah, set a harvest for yourself, while I reverse the captivity of my people.	11 Ed anche tu, o Giuda, preparati la messe, per quando io ricondurrò gli schiavi del mio popolo.
