Ezekiel 38

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of the head of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy about him.	2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Gog, en el país de Magog, príncipe supremo de Mesek y Túbal, y profetiza contra él.
3 And you shall say to him: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of the head of Meshech and Tubal.	3 Dirás: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquí estoy contra ti, Gog, príncipe supremo de Mesek y Túbal.
4 And I will turn you around, and I will place a bit in your jaws. And I will lead you away, with all your army, the horses and the horsemen all clothed in armor, a great multitude, equipped with spears and light shields and swords,	4 Yo te haré dar media vuelta, te pondré garfios en las quijadas, y te haré salir con todo tu ejército, caballos y caballeros, todos bien equipados, inmensa asamblea, todos con escudos y paveses, y diestros en el manejo de la espada.
5 the Persians, the Ethiopians, and the Libyans with them, all with heavy shields and helmets,	5 Persia, Kus y Put están con ellos, todos con escudo y yelmo.
6 Gomer, and all his companies, the house of Togarmah, the northern parts, and all his strength, and the many peoples with you.	6 Gómer, con todas sus huestes, Bet Togarmá, en el extemo norte, con todas sus huestes, pueblos numerosos, están contigo.
7 Prepare and equip yourself, with all your multitude which has been assembled to you. And you shall be like a commandment to them.	7 Disponte y prepárate, tú y toda tu asamblea concentrada en torno a ti, y ponte a mi servicio.
8 After many days, you will be visited. At the end of the years, you will arrive at the land which was turned back by the sword, and which has been gathered from many peoples to the mountains of Israel that have been continually abandoned. These ones have been led away from the peoples, and all of them will be living confidently within it.	8 Al cabo de muchos días, recibirás órdenes. Después de muchos años, vendrás hacia la tierra cuyos habitantes escaparon a la espada y fueron congregados de entre una multitud de pueblos en los montes de Israel, que habían sido un desierto permanente. Desde que fueron separados de los otros pueblos, habitan todos en seguridad.
9 But you will ascend and arrive like a tempest and like a cloud, so that you may cover the land, you and all your companies, and the many peoples with you.	9 Tú subirás, avanzarás como un huracán, como un nubarrón que cubrirá la tierra, tú y todas tus huestes, y los numerosos pueblos que están contigo.
10 Thus says the Lord God: In that day, words will climb into your heart, and you will invent a most wicked plan.	10 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquel día te vendrán al corazón proyectos y concebirás perversos planes.
11 And you will say: ‘I will ascend to the land without a wall. I will go to those who are resting and dwelling securely. All these live without a wall; they have no bars or gates.’	11 Dirás: «Voy a subir contra una tierra abierta, marcharé contra gente tranquila que habita en seguridad. Habitan todos en ciudades sin murallas, sin cerrojos ni puertas».
12 Thus, you will plunder spoils, and you will take possession of prey, so that you may lay your hand upon those who had been abandoned, and afterwards were restored, and upon a people who were gathered away from the Gentiles, a people who have begun to possess, and to be the inhabitants of, the navel of the earth.	12 Irás a saquear, a hacer botín, a poner tu mano sobre ruinas repobladas, en un pueblo congregado de entre las naciones, entregado a reponer el ganado y la hacienda, que habita en el centro de la tierra».
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, and all its lions will say to you: ‘Could you have arrived in order to purchase from the spoils? Behold, you have gathered your multitude in order to plunder a prey, so that you may take silver and gold, and carry away equipment and substance, and plunder immeasurable wealth.’	13 Sabá, Dedán, los mercaderes de Tarsis y todos sus leoncillos te dirán: «¿A saquear has venido? ¿Para hacer botín has concentrado tu asamblea? ¿Para llevarte el oro y la plata, para apoderarte de ganados y haciendas, para hacer un gran botín?»
14 Because of this, son of man, prophesy, and you shall say to Gog: Thus says the Lord God: How is it that you do not know of that day, when my people, Israel, will be living in confidence?	14 Por eso, profetiza, hijo de hombre. Dirás a Gog: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: ¿No es verdad que aquel día, cuando mi pueblo Israel viva en seguridad, te pondrás en movimiento?
15 And you will advance from your place, from the parts of the north, you and the many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly and an immense army.	15 Vendrás de tu lugar, del extremo norte, tú y pueblos numerosos contigo, todos montados a caballo, enorme asamblea, ejército innumerable.
16 And you will rise up over my people, Israel, like a cloud, so that you may cover the earth. In the latter days, you will be. And I will lead you over my own land, so that the Gentiles may know me, when I will have been sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes.	16 Subirás contra mi pueblo Israel como un nublado que recubre la tierra. Será al fin de los días; yo te haré venir entonces contra mi tierra para que las naciones me conozcan, cuando yo manifieste mi santidad a sus ojos, a costa tuya, Gog.
17 Thus says the Lord God: Therefore, you are the one, about whom I spoke in the days of antiquity, by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in the days of those times that I would lead you over them.	17 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Tú eres aquel de quien yo hablé antaño, por medio de mis siervos los profetas de Israel, que profetizaron en aquel tiempo, durante años, que yo te haría venir contra ellos.
18 And this shall be in that day, in the day of the advent of Gog over the land of Israel, says the Lord God: my indignation will rise up in my fury.	18 Aquel día, cuando Gog avance contra el suelo de Israel - oráculo del Señor Yahveh - estallará mi furor. En mi cólera,
19 And I have spoken, in my zeal and in the fire of my wrath, that there shall be a great commotion over the land of Israel, in that day.	19 en mis celos, en el ardor de mi furia lo digo: Sí, aquel día habrá un gran terremoto en el suelo de Israel.
20 And before my face there shall be stirred up: the fish of the sea, and the flying things of the air, and the beasts of the field, and every crawling thing that moves across the soil, and all the men who are upon the face of the earth. And the mountains will be overturned, and the hedges will fall, and every wall will fall in ruin to the ground.	20 Temblarán entonces ante mí los peces del mar y los pájaros del cielo, las bestias del campo y todos los reptiles que serpean por el suelo, y todos los hombres de sobre la haz de la tierra. Se desplomarán los montes, caerán las rocas, todas las murallas caerán por tierra.
21 And I will call for the sword against him on all my mountains, says the Lord God. Each one’s sword will be directed toward his brother.	21 Convocaré contra él toda clase de terrores, oráculo del Señor Yahveh. Volverán la espada unos contra otros.
22 And I will judge him by pestilence, and blood, and violent rainstorms, and immense hailstones. I will rain fire and brimstone upon him, and upon his army, and upon the many peoples who are with him.	22 Le castigaré con la peste y la sangre, haré caer una lluvia torrencial, granizos, fuego y azufre, sobre él, sobre sus huestes y sobre los numerosos pueblos que van con él.
23 And I will be magnified and sanctified. And I will be known in the eyes of the many nations. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”	23 Manifestaré mi grandeza y mi santidad, me daré a conocer a los ojos de numerosas naciones y sabrán que yo soy Yahveh.
