Jeremiah 52

1 Zedekiah was a son of twenty-one years when he first began to reign. And he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem. And the name of his mother was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah from Libnah.	1 Era Sedecia figliuolo di ventiuno anno, quando egli incominciò a regnare; e regnò undici anni in Ierusalem; e il nome della sua madre è Amital, figliuola di Ieremia di Lobna.
2 And he did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord, in accord with all that Jehoiakim had done.	2 Ed egli fece male negli occhi del Signore, secondo tutte le cose che avea fatto Ioachim.
3 And so the fury of the Lord was toward Jerusalem, and toward Judah, even until he cast them away from his face. And Zedekiah drew away from the king of Babylon.	3 Imperò che il furore del Signore era in Ierusalem e in Giuda, insino al tempo che egli gli gittoe dalla faccia sua; e partissi Sedecia dal re di Babilonia.
4 And it happened that, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, he and his entire army, came against Jerusalem. And they besieged it, and they built fortifications against it, on every side.	4 E fatto è che nel nono anno del regno suo, nel decimo mese e il decimo di del mese, venne Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, egli e tutto il suo esèrcito contra di Ierusalem; e assediorla, e per dintorno alla città edificorono luoghi munitissimi (a combattere).
5 And the city was besieged, until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.	5 E fue assediata la città per insino all' undecimo anno del regno di Sedecia.
6 Then, in the fourth month, on the ninth of the month, a famine gripped the city. And there was no nourishment for the people of the land.	6 E nel quarto mese, nel nono giorno del mese, sostenne Ierusalem la fame; e non v'era vittualia al populo della terra.
7 And the city was broken, and all the men of war fled, and they departed from the city at night by way of the gate which is between the two walls, and which leads to the king’s garden, while the Chaldeans were besieging the city all around, and they went away by the road that leads to the wilderness.	7 E, ruinata la città, fuggittero tutti gli uomini combattitori, li quali uscittero di notte fuori della città, per la via della porta la quale è fra due mura, che conduce all' orto del re, assediando li Caldei la città per dintorno, e andorono per la via che mena all' eremo.
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king. And they overtook Zedekiah in the desert which is near Jericho. And all of his companions fled away from him.	8 Di che l' esercito de' Caldei perseguitò il re, e pigliorono Sedecia nel deserto che è appresso a Gerico; e da lui fuggitte tutta sua compagnia.
9 And when they had captured the king, they led him away to the king of Babylon at Riblah, which is in the land of Hamath. And he spoke a judgment against him.	9 E quelli, avendo pigliato il re, condusserlo al re di Babilonia in Reblata, la quale è nella terra di Emat; e parlolli li giudicii.
10 And the king of Babylon cut the throats of the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also killed all the leaders of Judah at Riblah.	10 Onde il re di Babilonia uccise gli figliuoli di Sedecia nelli suoi occhi; ed etiam uccise in Reblata tutti li principi di Giuda.
11 And he plucked out the eyes of Zedekiah, and he bound him with shackles, and the king of Babylon led him away to Babylon, and he placed him in the prison house, even until the day of his death.	11 E cavò gli occhi di Sedecia, e poselo legato ne' ceppi; e menollo il re di Babilonia in Babilonia, e poselo nella casa della prigione insino al giorno della sua morte.
12 Then, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, which is the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the leader of the military, arrived. And he was standing before the king of Babylon at Jerusalem.	12 Di che nel quinto mese, nel decimo die del mese; egli è il decimo nono anno di Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia; venne Nabuzardan, principe dell' esèrcito, il quale stava dinanzi al re di Babilonia in Ierusalem.
13 And he set fire to the house of the Lord, and to the house of the king, and to all the houses of Jerusalem. And every great house he burned with fire.	13 E abbruciò la casa del Signore e la casa del re e tutte le case di Ierusalem; e ogni grande casa abbrucioe con il fuoco.
14 And the entire army of the Chaldeans, who were with the chief of the military, destroyed the entire wall all around Jerusalem.	14 E l' esèrcito de' Caldei, il quale era con il ?maestro de' cavalieri, distrusse tutto il muro di Ierusalem per dintorno.
15 Then Nebuzaradan, the leader of the military, took away some of the poor people, and some of the rest of the common people, who had remained in the city, and some of the fugitives, who had fled over to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.	15 Ma li rimasti del povero popolo, e lo rimanente del popolo ch' era rimaso nella città, e delli fuggitivi che erano andati al re di Babilonia e tutti gli altri della moltitudine transportò Nabuzardan, principe della cavalleria.
16 Yet truly, some of the poor of the land, Nebuzaradan, the leader of the military, left behind as vinedressers and farmers.	16 Ma de' poveri della terra lasciò Nabuzardan, principe della milizia, li operatori delle vigne e delle terre (li poveri).
17 The Chaldeans also broke apart the bronze pillars that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the sea of brass that was in the house of the Lord. And they took all the brass of these things to Babylon.	17 Di che etiam li Caldei (ruppero e) fracassorono le colonne di metallo, le quali erano nella casa del Signore, e le basi, e il mare di rame il quale era nella casa del Signore; e portorono ogni loro metallo in Babilonia.
18 And they took the cooking pots, and the hooks, and the psalteries, and the bowls, and the little mortars, and all the bronze vessels that had been used in the ministry.	18 E le caldaie e li tredenti a trarre fuori le carni, e li salterii e le ancristare e li mortarioli, e tolsero tutti li vasi di metallo che erano nel ministerio,
19 And the chief of the military took the water pots, and the censers, and the pitchers, and the basins, and the lampstands, and the mortars, and the little cups, whatever was gold, for the gold, and whatever was silver, for the silver,	19 e li vaselli e le macine timiame (cioè alcuno vaso) e li urcioli e li bacini e li candelieri e li mortari e li sifi; e tutte quelle [cose] che erano di auro tolse (da) per sè lo maestro della milizia, e così quelle che erano di argento.
20 as well as the two pillars, and the one brass sea, and the twelve oxen of brass that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the Lord. There was no weight of brass left behind out of all these vessels.	20 Tolse etiam (il principe de' cavalieri) le colonne, e uno mare (cioè conca) e dodici vitelli di rame, che erano sotto le basi, le quali tutte cose avea fatto il re Salamone nella casa del Signore; tanto erano li vasi, che non v' era peso di loro.
21 Now concerning the pillars, one pillar was eighteen cubits high, and a cord of twelve cubits encircled it. Moreover, its thickness was four fingers, and the interior was hollow.	21 Di che, delle colonne l' una era alta di diciotto cubiti, e la funicella di dodici cubiti intorniava quella; ed eravi la sua grossezza quattro digiti, ed era cavata dalla parte dentro.
22 And heads of brass were upon both. And the height of one head was five cubits. And little nets with pomegranates were upon the heads all around, all of brass. The second pillar was similar, and the pomegranates.	22 E sopra l'una e l'altra erano li capitelli di metallo; ed era uno capitello alto cinque cubiti; ed eravi la reticella e li pomi granati sopra la corona per dintorno; tutti erano di metallo e melagrane.
23 And there were ninety-six pomegranates hanging down; and there were one hundred pomegranates in all, surrounded by the little nets.	23 E dependevano novantasei pomi granati; e tutti erano attorniati da cento reticelle.
24 And the chief of the military took Seraiah, the first priest, and Zephaniah, the second priest, and the three keepers of the vestibule.	24 E pigliò etiam il maestro delli cavalieri Saraia, lo primo (e sommo) sacerdote, e Sofonia sacerdote secondo, e tre guardiani del portico.
25 He also took from the city one eunuch who was in charge of the men of war, and seven men among those who served before the face of the king, who were found in the city, and a scribe, a leader of the military, who tested the new recruits, and sixty men from the people of the land, who were found in the midst of the city.	25 E della città tolse uno eunuco, il quale era principe sopra gli uomini combattitori; e sette uomini di quelli che vedeano la faccia del re, che si trovorono nella città; e il scrivano principe de' cavalieri, il quale probava gli tironi; ed etiam sessanta uomini del popolo della terra, che furono trovati in mezzo della città.
26 Then Nebuzaradan, the chief of the military, took them, and he led them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.	26 Di che Nabuzardan, principe dell' esèrcito tolse costoro, e menolli al re di Babilonia in Reblata.
27 And the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah, in the land of Hamath. And Judah was carried away from his land.	27 E il re di Babilonia gli uccise in Reblata nella terra di Emat; e (il popolo di) Giuda fu translato dalla terra sua.
28 This is the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away: in the seventh year, three thousand and twenty-three Jews;	28 Questo è il populo che Nabucodonosor transferì; nel settimo anno tre milia e ventitre giudei;
29 in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, eight hundred thirty-two souls from Jerusalem;	29 nell'ottavo decimo anno egli transferì da Ierusalem ottocento e trenta due (milia) anime;
30 in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan, the chief of the military, carried away of the Jews seven hundred forty-five souls. Therefore, all the souls were four thousand six hundred.	30 nel vigesimo terzo anno di Nabucodonosor, Nabuzardan maestro delli cavalieri transferì settecento quaranta cinque anime di giudei; tutti adunque furono quattro milia e secento anime.
31 And it happened that, in the thirty-seventh year of the transmigration of Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth of the month, Evilmerodach, the king of Babylon, in the very first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, and he brought him out of the prison house.	31 E fatto è che nel trigesimo settimo anno della transmigrazione di Ioachin, re di Giuda, nel duodecimo mese, nel vigesimo quinto dì del mese, Evilmerodac, re di Babilonia, nell' anno del suo regno, esaltò il capo di Ioachin, re di Giuda, e trasselo fuori della casa della prigione.
32 And he spoke with him for good, and he set his throne above the thrones of the kings who were after him in Babylon.	32 E con lui parlò pacificamente, ed egli puose il suo trono sopra li troni de' re li quali erano dopo di sè in Babilonia.
33 And he changed his prison garments, and he ate bread in his sight always, all the days of his life.	33 E mutolli le vestimenta della sua prigione, e in sua presenza mangiava il pane sempre in tutti li giorni della sua vita.
34 And for his meals, a continual provision was allotted to him by the king of Babylon, a measure for every single day, until the day of his death, all the days of his life.	34 E a lui daransi continuamente li cibi, de' cibi del re di Babilonia, ordinati per ciascuno die, insino al die della sua morte, in tutti li dì della sua vita.
