Isaiah 59

1 Behold, the hand of the Lord has not been shortened, so that it cannot save, and his ear has not been blocked, so that it cannot hear.	1 Ed ecco, la mano di Dio non abbrevierà, che non possa salvare; e la sua orecchia non è aggravata, che non possa udire.
2 But your iniquities have made a division between you and your God, and your sins have concealed his face from you, so that he would not hear.	2 Ma le vostre malvagitadi hanno posto divisione ora intra voi e il vostro Iddio; e li vostri peccati hanno la faccia sua nascosa a voi, acciò ch' egli non esaudisca voi.
3 For your hands have been polluted by blood, and your fingers by iniquity. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue utters iniquity.	3 Però che le vostre mani sono contaminate (e abbruttate) di sangue, e le vostre dita di malvagitadi; e le vostre labbra hanno parlato bugia, e la vostra lingua parla malvagitade.
4 There is no one who calls for justice, and there is no one who judges truly. For they trust in nothing, and they speak emptiness. They have conceived hardship, and they have given birth to iniquity.	4 Non è alcuno che. giudichi veritade; ma confidansi in niente, e parlano vanitadi; concepettono fatica, e partorirono iniquitade.
5 They have ruptured the eggs of asps, and they have woven the webs of spiders. Whoever will eat of their eggs will die. For what has been incubated will hatch into a king snake.	5 E ruppono l'ova degli aspidi, e tesserono le tele dello ragnolo; qualunque averà manicato delle loro ova, morrà; e quello che sarà nutricato uscirà fuori in basilisco.
6 Their weavings will not be for clothing, nor will they cover themselves with their handiwork. Their works are useless things, and the work of iniquity is in their hands.	6 Le loro tele non saranno per vestimento, e non si copriranno per le loro opere; le opere loro sono opere disutili, e ancora sono opere di malvagitadi.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they rush to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are useless thoughts; devastation and destruction are in their ways.	7 Li loro piedi corrono a malfare, e affrettansi acciò che spargano lo sangue innocente; e' loro pensieri sono pensieri sanza utilitade, e nelle loro vie sì è guastamento e fracasso.
8 They have not known the way of peace, and there is no judgment in their steps. Their paths have become crooked for them. Anyone who treads in them knows no peace.	8 E non seppono la via della pace, e non è giudicio nelli loro andamenti; le loro vie sono inchinate a loro, e ogni uomo che va per quelle non conosce la pace.
9 Because of this, judgment is far from us, and justice will not take hold of us. We waited for light, and behold, darkness; we waited for brightness, and we walked in darkness.	9 E però è dilungato da noi lo giudicio, e la giustizia non si appiglierà a noi; noi abbiamo aspettato la luce, ed ecco le tenebre; abbiamo aspettato lo splendore, e noi andiamo per le tenebre.
10 We groped for the wall, like one who is blind, and we felt our way, like one without eyes. We stumbled at midday, as if in darkness; and in darkness, as if in death.	10 Abbiamo palpato come fanno i ciechi alle pareti, e accostammoci quasi come se noi non avessimo avuti occhi; andammo nel mezzo di quasi come in tenebre, e in oscuritadi quasi come morti.
11 We will all roar like bears, and we will sigh like despondent doves. We hoped for judgment, and there is none; for salvation, and it is far from us.	11 E ruggiremo quasi come orsi, e piagneremo quasi come colombe meditando; abbiamo aspettato lo giudicio, e non v'è; abbiamo aspettato la salute, e dilungossi da noi.
12 For our iniquities have been multiplied in your sight, and our sins have answered us. For our wickedness is with us, and we have acknowledged our iniquities:	12 E le nostre malvagitadi sono multiplicate innanzi a te, e li nostri peccati rispuosono a noi; però che le nostre fellonie sono con noi, e noi conosciamo le nostre malvagitadi.
13 sinning and lying against the Lord. And we have turned away, not so as to go after our God, and so that we were speaking calumny and transgression. We have conceived, and spoken from the heart, words of falsehood.	13 Però che pecchiamo e mentiamo contro a Dio, e siamo rivolti per non andare dopo le reni del nostro Signore, parlare calunnia e travalicare li suoi comandamenti; noi ci facemmo concetto, e parlammo del nostro cuore parole di bugia.
14 And judgment has been turned backwards, and justice has stood far away. For truth has fallen down in the street, and fairness was not able to enter.	14 E lo giudicio si voltò addietro, e la giustizia stette da lungi; però che la veritade cadde nelle piazze, e la dirittura non ci potè entrare.
15 And the truth has gone into oblivion. And he who withdraws from evil endures plunder. And the Lord saw this, and it seemed evil in his eyes. For there is no judgment.	15 Però che la veritade si è posta in dimenticazione; e quello che si partì dal male si manifestò alla preda; e lo Signore vidde, e li mali apparirono alli suoi occhi, però che non fu giudicio.
16 And he saw that there was no good man. And he was astonished that there was no one to meet him. And his own arm brought salvation to him, and his own justice strengthened him.	16 E vidde che non era ivi uomo; e attristossi, poi che (vidde che) non era chi li venisse incontro; e salverà a sè lo suo braccio, e la sua giustizia confermerà lui.
17 He clothed himself with justice as with a breastplate, and with a helmet of salvation upon his head. He put on the vestments of vengeance, and he was covered with zeal as with a cloak.	17 E vestissi di giustizia, come una panciera, e puosesi in capo l' elmo della salute; e vestissi di vestimenta di vendetta, e copersesi quasi come d' uno pallio di zelo (di vendetta).
18 This was for vindication, as a repayment of indignation to his adversaries, and as a sudden reversal for his enemies. He will repay the islands in their turn.	18 E così anderà a vendetta, quasi come a retribuzione d' indegnazione a' suoi nemici; e renderà (loro) lo loro merito a' suoi nemici, e renderà alle isole la mercede loro.
19 And those from the west will fear the name of the Lord, and those from the rising of the sun will fear his glory, when he arrives like a violent river, which the Spirit of the Lord urges on.	19 E temeranno, quelli che sono da occidente, lo nome di Dio; e quelli che sono da oriente, la sua gloria; quando sarà venuto come fiume violento, lo quale lo spirito del Signore costrigne;
20 And the Redeemer will arrive in Zion, and to those who return from the iniquity within Jacob, says the Lord.	20 e verrà Sion redentore, e a quelli i quali ritornano dalla iniquitade in Iacob, dice lo Signore Iddio.
21 This is my pact with them, says the Lord. My Spirit is within you, and my words, which I have put in your mouth, will not withdraw from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring, says the Lord, from this moment, and even forever.	21 Questo si è lo mio patto con loro; (e allora), dice Iddio: lo mio spirito lo quale è in te, lo quale io puosi nella tua bocca,n on si parta dalla bocca tua, e dalla bocca del tuo dice lo Signore Iddio, oggimai seme, insino in sempiterno.
