Isaiah 55

1 All you who thirst, come to the waters. And you who have no money: hurry, buy and eat. Approach, buy wine and milk, without money and without barter.	1 ¡Oh, todos los sedientos, id por agua, y los que no tenéis plata, venid, comprad y comed, sin plata, y sin pagar, vino y leche!
2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and expend your labor for what does not satisfy? Listen very closely to me, and eat what is good, and then your soul will be delighted by a full measure.	2 ¿Por qué gastar plata en lo que no es pan, y vuestro jornal en lo que no sacia? Hacedme caso y comed cosa buena, y disfrutaréis con algo sustancioso.
3 Incline your ear and draw near to me. Listen, and your soul will live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, by the faithful mercies of David.	3 Aplicad el oído y acudid a mí, oíd y vivirá vuestra alma. Pues voy a firmar con vosotros una alianza eterna: las amorosas y files promesas hechas a David.
4 Behold, I have presented him as a witness to the people, as a commander and instructor to the nations.	4 Mira que por testigo de las naciones le he puesto, caudillo y legislador de las naciones.
5 Behold, you will call to a nation that you did not know. And nations that did not know you will rush to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel. For he has glorified you.	5 Mira que a un pueblo que no conocías has de convocar, y un pueblo que no te conocía, a ti correrá por amor de Yahveh tu Dios y por el Santo de Israel, porque te ha honrado.
6 Seek the Lord, while he is able to be found. Call upon him, while he is near.	6 Buscad a Yahveh mientras se deja encontrar, llamadle mientras está cercano.
7 Let the impious one abandon his way, and the iniquitous man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and he will take pity on him, and to our God, for he is great in forgiveness.	7 Deje el malo su camino, el hombre inicuo sus pensamientos, y vuélvase a Yahveh, que tendrá compasión de él, a nuestro Dios, que será grande en perdonar.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says the Lord.	8 Porque no son mis pensamientos vuestros pensamientos, ni vuestros caminos son mis caminos - oráculo de Yahveh -.
9 For just as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so also are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.	9 Porque cuanto aventajan los cielos a la tierra, así aventajan mis caminos a los vuestros y mis pensamientos a los vuestros.
10 And in the same manner as rain and snow descend from heaven, and no longer return there, but soak the earth, and water it, and cause it to bloom and to provide seed to the sower and bread to the hungry,	10 Como descienden la lluvia y la nieve de los cielos y no vuelven allá, sino que empapan la tierra, la fecundan y la hacen germinar, para que dé simiente al sembrador y pan para comer,
11 so also will my word be, which will go forth from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish whatever I will, and it will prosper in the tasks for which I sent it.	11 así será mi palabra, la que salga de mi boca, que no tornará a mí de vacío, sin que haya realizado lo que me plugo y haya cumplido aquello a que la envié.
12 For you will go forth rejoicing, and you will be led forward in peace. The mountains and the hills will sing praise before you, and all the trees of the countryside will clap their hands.	12 Sí, con alegría saldréis, y en paz seréis traídos. Los montes y las colinas romperán ante vosotros en gritos de júbilo, y todos los árboles del campo batirán palmas.
13 In place of the shrub, the pine tree will arise, and in place of the nettle, the myrtle tree will grow. And the Lord will be named with an eternal sign, which will not be taken away.	13 En lugar del espino crecerá el ciprés, en lugar de la ortiga crecerá el mirto. Será para renombre de Yahveh, para señal eterna que no será borrada.
