Psalms 27

1 A Psalm of David himself. To you, Lord, I will cry out. My God, do not be silent toward me. For if you remain silent toward me, I will become like those who descend into the pit.	1 (In fine) salmo ad esso David. A te, Signore, griderò: Iddio mio, (al presente e sempre) a me non tacere, acciò non sia assimigliato alli descendenti nel lago.
2 Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy temple.	2 Esaudi, Signore, la voce della mia orazione, quando oro a te, quando alzo le mie mani al tempio santo tuo.
3 Do not draw me away together with sinners; and let me not perish with those who work iniquity, who speak peacefully to their neighbor, yet evils are in their hearts.	3 E non mi dare nella morte con gli peccatori; e con gli operanti la iniquità non mi perdere; li quali parlano con pace al suo prossimo, ma gli mali sono [nel] loro cuore.
4 Give to them according to their works and according to the wickedness of their inventions. Assign to them according to the works of their hands. Repay them with their own retribution.	4 Dà a loro secondo loro opere, e secondo la abbominazione de' loro trovari. A quelli dà secondo le opere delle loro mani; rendili la loro retribuzione.
5 Since they have not understood the works of the Lord and the works of his hands, you will destroy them, and you will not build them up.	5 Imperò che non hanno inteso le opere del Signore; e nell'opera di loro mani distruggi quelli; e non gli edificherai.
6 Blessed is the Lord, for he has heard the voice of my supplication.	6 Benedetto il Signore, imperò che ha esaudito la voce della mia orazione.
7 The Lord is my helper and my protector. In him, my heart has hoped and I have been helped. And my flesh has flourished again. And from my will, I shall confess to him.	7 Il Signore è mio aiutatore e defensore; e in lui ha sperato il mio cuore, e son stato aiutato. E rifiorita è la mia carne; volontariamente a lui mi confessarò.
8 The Lord is the strength of his people and the protector of the salvation of his Christ.	8 Egli è Signore, fortezza del suo popolo, e defensore della salute del suo cristo.
9 O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance, and reign over them and exalt them, even unto eternity.	9 Fa salvo il tuo popolo, o Signore, e benedici la tua eredità; e reggili e drizzali insino in eterno.
