1 Now Benjamin conceived Bela as his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,	1 Benjamin was father of Bela, his first-born, Ashbel second, Ahiram third,
2 Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.	2 Nohah fourth, Rapha fifth.
3 And the sons of Bela were: Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,	3 Bela had sons: Addar, Gera father of Ehud,
4 as well as Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,	4 Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,
5 then also Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.	5 Gera, Shephuphan and Huram.
6 These are the sons of Ehud, leaders of the kindred living in Geba, who were moved away to Manahath.	6 These are the sons of Ehud. They were heads of families of the inhabitants of Geba and led them intoexile at Manahath:
7 And Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera, he also moved them away; and he conceived Uzza and Ahihud.	7 Naaman, Ahijah and Gera. It was he who led them into exile; he became the father of Uzza andAhihud.
8 Then Shaharaim conceived, in the region of Moab, after he sent away Hushim and Baara, his wives;	8 Shaharaim had children in the Plains of Moab after he had dismissed his wives, Hushim and Baara.
9 and so, of his wife Hodesh, he conceived Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam,	9 By his new wife he had sons: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,
10 and also Jeuz and Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, the leaders of their families.	10 Jeuz, Sachia, Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families.
11 Truly, of Hushim he conceived Abitub and Elpaal.	11 By Hushim he had sons: Abitub and Elpaal.
12 And the sons of Elpaal were Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod and its daughters.	12 The sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham and Shemed, who built Ono and Lud and its dependencies.
13 Now Beriah and Shema were leaders of their families living in Aijalon; these put to flight the inhabitants of Gath.	13 Beriah and Shema were the chiefs of the families who lived at Aijalon; they routed the inhabitants ofGath.
14 And Ahio, and Shashak, and Jeremoth,	14 His brother was Shashak. Jeremoth,
15 and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder,	15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,
16 as well as Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, were the sons of Beriah.	16 Michael, Ishpah, Joha were the sons of Beriah.
17 Then Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber,	17 Zebadiah, Meshul am, Hizki, Haber,
18 and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.	18 Ishmerai, Izliah, Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.

21 and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.	21 Adaiah, Beraiah, Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.
22 Then Ishpan, and Eber, and Eliel,	22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,
23 and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan,	23 Abdon, Zichri, Hanan,
24 and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothijah,	24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,
25 and Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.	25 Iphdeiah, Penuel were the sons of Shashak.
26 Then Shamsherai, and Shehariah and Athaliah,	26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,
27 and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.	27 Jaareshaiah, Elijah, Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.
28 These were the patriarchs and leaders of the families who were living in Jerusalem.	28 These were chiefs of families according to their relationship. They lived in Jerusalem.
29 Now in Gibeon, there lived Jeiel, the father of Gibeon; and the name of his wife was Maacah,	29 At Gibeon lived Jeiel the father of Gibeon, whose wife was cal ed Maacah.
30 and his firstborn son was Abdon, and then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,	30 His first-born son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
31 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher, and Mikloth.	31 Gedor, Ahio, Zecher
32 And Mikloth conceived Shimeah. And they lived opposite their brothers in Jerusalem, with their brothers.	32 and Mikloth. Mikloth fathered Shimeah. But they, unlike their brothers, lived at Jerusalem with theirbrothers.
33 Now Ner conceived Kish, and Kish conceived Saul. Then Saul conceived Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.	33 Ner fathered Kish, Kish fathered Saul, Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab and Eshbaal.
34 And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal conceived Micah.	34 Son of Jonathan: Meribbaal. Meribbaal fathered Micah.
35 The sons of Micah were Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.	35 Sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, Ahaz.
36 And Ahaz conceived Jehoaddah. And Jehoaddah conceived Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri. And Zimri conceived Moza.	36 Ahaz fathered Jehoaddah, Jehoaddah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri. Zimri fathered Moza,
37 And Moza conceived Binea, whose son was Raphah, of whom was born Eleasah, who conceived Azel.	37 Moza fathered Binea, Raphah his son, Eleasah his son and Azel his son.
38 Now there were six sons for Azel, whose names were Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.	38 Azel had six sons, whose names were these: Azrikam, his first-born, then Ishmael, Sheariah,Obadiah, Hanan. All these were sons of Azel.
39 Then the sons of Eshek, his brother, were Ulam the firstborn, and Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.	39 Sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam, his first-born, Jeush second, Eliphelet third.
40 And the sons of Ulam were very robust men, drawing the bow with great strength. And they had many sons and grandsons, even to one hundred fifty. All these were sons of Benjamin.	40 The sons of Ulam were warriors-archers. They had as many as a hundred and fifty sons andgrandsons. All these belonged to the sons of Benjamin.
