1 Then Jacob called his sons, and he said to them: “Gather together, so that I may announce what will happen to you in the last days.	1 Quindi Giacobbe chiamò i figli e disse: "Radunatevi, perché io vi annunzi quello che vi accadrà nei tempi futuri.
2 Gather together and listen, O sons of Jacob. Listen to Israel, your father.	2 Radunatevi e ascoltate, figli di Giacobbe, ascoltate Israele, vostro padre!
3 Reuben, my firstborn, you are my strength and the beginning of my sorrow: first in gifts, greater in authority.	3 Ruben, tu sei il mio primogenito, il mio vigore e la primizia della mia virilità, esuberante in fierezza ed esuberante in forza!
4 You are being poured out like water, may you not increase. For you climbed onto your father’s bed, and you defiled his resting place.	4 Bollente come l'acqua, tu non avrai preminenza, perché hai invaso il talamo di tuo padre e hai violato il mio giaciglio su cui eri salito.
5 The brothers Simeon and Levi: vessels of iniquity waging war.	5 Simeone e Levi sono fratelli, strumenti di violenza sono i loro coltelli.
6 Let not my soul go by their counsel, nor my glory be within their meeting. 8 Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be at the necks of your enemies; the sons of your father will reverence you.	8 Giuda, te loderanno i tuoi fratelli; la tua mano sarà sulla nuca dei tuoi nemici; davanti a te si prostreranno i figli di tuo padre.
9 Judah is a lion’s young. You have gone up to the prey, my son. While resting, you have lain like a lion. And just like a lioness, who would rouse him?	9 Un giovane leone è Giuda: dalla preda, figlio mio, sei tornato; si è sdraiato, si è accovacciato come un leone e come una leonessa; chi oserà farlo alzare?
10 The scepter from Judah and the leader from his thigh will not be taken away, until he who will be sent arrives, and he will be the expectation of Gentiles.	10 Non sarà tolto lo scettro da Giuda né il bastone del comando tra i suoi piedi, finché verrà colui al quale esso appartiene e a cui è dovuta l'obbedienza dei popoli.

14 Issachar will be a strong donkey, reclining between the borders.	14 Issacar è un asino robusto, accovacciato tra un doppio recinto.
15 He saw that rest would be good, and that the land was excellent. And so he bent his shoulder to carry, and he became a servant under tribute.	15 Ha visto che il luogo di riposo era bello, che il paese era ameno; ha piegato il dorso a portar la soma ed è stato ridotto ai lavori forzati.
16 Dan will judge his people just like any other tribe in Israel.	16 Dan giudicherà il suo popolo come ogni altra tribù d'Israele.
17 Let Dan be a snake in the way, a viper in the path, biting the hooves of horses, so that his rider may fall backward.	17 Sia Dan un serpente sulla strada, una vipera cornuta sul sentiero, che morde i garretti del cavallo e il cavaliere cade all'indietro.
18 I will wait for your salvation, O Lord.	18 Io spero nella tua salvezza, Signore!
19 Gad, being girded, will fight before him. And he himself will be girded backward.	19 Gad, assalito da un'orda, ne attacca la retroguardia.

26 The blessings of your father are strengthened by the blessings of his fathers, until the desire of the hills of eternity shall arrive. May they be at the head of Joseph, and at the summit of the Nazarite, among his brothers.	26 Le benedizioni di tuo padre sono superiori alle benedizioni dei monti antichi, alle attrattive dei colli eterni. Vengano sul capo di Giuseppe e sulla testa del principe tra i suoi fratelli!
27 Benjamin is a ravenous wolf, in the morning he will eat the prey, and in the evening he will divide the spoil.”	27 Beniamino è un lupo che sbrana: al mattino divora la preda e alla sera spartisce il bottino.
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel. These things their father spoke to them, and he blessed each one with their proper blessings.	28 Tutti questi formano le dodici tribù d'Israele, questo è ciò che disse loro il loro padre, quando li ha benedetti; ognuno egli benedisse con una benedizione particolare.
29 And he instructed them, saying: “I am being gathered to my people.
