NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 The lot that fell to the Josephites extended from the Jordan at Jericho to the waters of Jericho east of the desert; then the boundary went up from Jericho to the heights at Bethel.	1 وخرجت القرعة لبني يوسف من اردن اريحا الى ماء اريحا نحو الشروق الى البرية الصاعدة من اريحا في جبل بيت ايل.
2 Leaving Bethel for Luz, it crossed the ridge to the border of the Archites at Ataroth,	2 وخرجت من بيت ايل الى لوز وعبرت الى تخم الاركيين الى عطاروت
3 and descended westward to the border of the Japhletites, to that of the Lower Beth-horon, and to Gezer, ending thence at the sea.	3 ونزلت غربا الى تخم اليفلطيّين الى تخم بيت حورون السفلى والى جازر وكانت مخارجها عند البحر.
4 Within the heritage of Manasseh and Ephraim, sons of Joseph,	4 فملك ابنا يوسف منسّى وافرايم
5 the dividing line for the heritage of the clans of the Ephraimites ran from east of Ataroth-addar to Upper Bethhoron	5 وكان تخم بني افرايم حسب عشائرهم. وكانت تخم نصيبهم شرقا عطاروت ادّار الى بيت حورون العليا
6 and thence to the sea. From Michmethath on the north, their boundary curved eastward around Taanath-shiloh, and continued east of it to Janoah;	6 وخرج التخم نحو البحر الى المكمتة شمالا ودار التخم شرقا الى تآنة شيلوه وعبرها شرقي ينوحة
7 from there it descended to Ataroth and Naarah, and skirting Jericho, it ended at the Jordan.	7 ونزل من ينوحة الى عطاروت ونعرات ووصل الى اريحا وخرج الى الاردن
8 From Tappuah the boundary ran westward to the Wadi Kanah and ended at the sea. This was the heritage of the clans of the Ephraimites,	8 وجاز التخم من تفوح غربا الى وادي قانة وكانت مخارجه عند البحر. هذا هو نصيب سبط بني افرايم حسب عشائرهم
9 including the villages that belonged to each city set aside for the Ephraimites within the territory of the Manassehites.	9 مع المدن المفرزة لبني افرايم في وسط نصيب بني منسّى. جميع المدن وضياعها.
10 But they did not drive out the Canaanites living in Gezer, who live on within Ephraim to the present day, though they have been impressed as laborers.	10 فلم يطردوا الكنعانيين الساكنين في جازر. فسكن الكنعانيون في وسط افرايم الى هذا اليوم وكانوا عبيدا تحت الجزية
