1 This third time I am coming to you. "On the testimony of two or three witnesses a fact shall be established."	1 Por tercera vez voy a vosotros. Por la palabra de dos o tres testigos se zanjará todo asunto.
2 I warned those who sinned earlier and all the others, and I warn them now while absent, as I did when present on my second visit, that if I come again I will not be lenient,	2 Ya lo tengo dicho a los que anteriormente pecaron y a todos los demás, y vuelvo a decirlo de antemano ahora que estoy ausente, lo mismo que la segunda vez estando presente: Si vuelvo otra vez, obraré sin miramientos,
3 since you are looking for proof of Christ speaking in me. He is not weak toward you but powerful in you.	3 ya que queréis una prueba de que habla en mí Cristo, el cual no es débil para con vosotros, sino poderoso entre vosotros.
4 For indeed he was crucified out of weakness, but he lives by the power of God. So also we are weak in him, but toward you we shall live with him by the power of God.	4 Pues, ciertamente, fue crucificado en razón de su flaqueza, pero está vivo por la fuerza de Dios. Así también nosotros: somos débiles en él, pero viviremos con él por la fuerza de Dios sobre vosotros.
5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless, of course, you fail the test.	5 Examinaos vosotros mismos si estáis en la fe. Probaos a vosotros mismos. ¿No reconocéis que Jesucristo está en vosotros? ¡A no ser que os encontréis ya reprobados!
6 I hope you will discover that we have not failed.	6 Espero que reconoceréis que nosotros no estamos reprobados.
7 But we pray to God that you may not do evil, not that we may appear to have passed the test but that you may do what is right, even though we may seem to have failed.	7 Rogamos a Dios que no hagáis mal alguno. No para que nosotros aparezcamos probados, sino para que obréis el bien, aun cuando quedáramos nosotros reprobados.
8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.	8 Pues nada podemos contra la verdad, sino sólo a favor de la verdad.
9 For we rejoice when we are weak but you are strong. What we pray for is your improvement.	9 Ciertamente, nos alegramos cuando somos nosotros débiles y vosotros fuertes. Lo que pedimos es vuestro perfeccionamiento.
10 I am writing this while I am away, so that when I come I may not have to be severe in virtue of the authority that the Lord has given me to build up and not to tear down.	10 Por eso os escribo esto ausente, para que, presente, no tenga que obrar con severidad conforme al poder que me otorgó el Señor para edificar y no para destruir.
11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.	11 Por lo demás, hermanos, alegraos; sed perfectos; animaos; tened un mismo sentir; vivid en paz, y el Dios de la caridad y de la paz estará con vosotros.
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the holy ones greet you.	12 Saludaos mutuamente con el beso santo. Todos los santos os saludan.
13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the holy Spirit be with all of you.	13 La gracia del Señor Jesucristo, el amor de Dios y la comunión del Espíritu Santo sean con todos vosotros.
