1 Then he led me to the gate which faces the east,	1 Me condujo luego hacia el pórtico, el pórtico que miraba a oriente,
2 and there I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. I heard a sound like the roaring of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory.	2 y he aquí que la gloria del Dios de Israel llegaba de la parte de oriente, con un ruido como el ruido de muchas aguas, y la tierra resplandecía de su gloria.
3 The vision was like that which I had seen when he came to destroy the city, and like that which I had seen by the river Chebar. I fell prone	3 Esta visión era como la que yo había visto cuando vine para la destrucción de la ciudad, y también como lo que había visto junto al río Kebar. Entonces caí rostro en tierra.
4 as the glory of the LORD entered the temple by way of the gate which faces the east,	4 La gloria de Yahveh entró en la Casa por el pórtico que mira a oriente.
5 but spirit lifted me up and brought me to the inner court. And I saw that the temple was filled with the glory of the LORD.	5 El espíritu me levantó y me introdujo en el atrio interior, y he aquí que la gloria de Yahveh llenaba la Casa.
6 Then I heard someone speaking to me from the temple, while the man stood beside me.	6 Y oí que alguien me hablaba desde la Casa, mientras el hombre permanecía en pie junto a mí.
7 The voice said to me: Son of man, this is where my throne shall be, this is where I will set the soles of my feet; here I will dwell among the Israelites forever. Never again shall they and their kings profane my holy name with their harlotries and with the corpses of their kings (their high places).	7 Me dijo: Hijo de hombre, este es el lugar de mi trono, el lugar donde se posa la planta de mis pies. Aquí habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel para siempre; y la casa de Israel, así como sus reyes, no contaminarán más mi santo nombre con sus prostituciones y con los cadáveres de sus reyes,
8 When they placed their threshold against my threshold and their doorpost next to mine, so that only a wall was between us, they profaned my holy name by their abominable deeds; therefore I consumed them in my wrath.	8 poniendo su umbral junto a mi umbral y sus jambas junto a mis jambas, con un muro común entre ellos y yo. Ellos contaminaron mi santo nombre con las abominaciones que cometieron; por eso los he devorado en mi cólera.
9 From now on they shall put far from me their harlotry and the corpses of their kings, and I will dwell in their midst forever.	9 De ahora en adelante alejarán de mí sus prostituciones y los cadáveres de sus reyes, y yo habitaré en medio de ellos para siempre.
10 As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel (that they may be ashamed of their sins), both its measurements and its design;	10 «Y tú, hijo de hombre, describe este Templo a la casa de Israel, para que queden avergonzados de sus culpas y tomen nota de su plano.
11 (and if they are ashamed of all that they have done,) make known to them the form and design of the temple, its exits and entrances, all its statutes and laws; write these down for them to see, that they may carefully observe all its laws and statutes.	11 Se avergüenzan de toda su conducta, enséñales la forma del Templo y su plano, sus salidas y entradas, su forma y todas sus disposiciones, toda su forma y todas sus leyes. Pon todo esto por escrito ante sus ojos, para que guarden con exactitud todas sus leyes y disposiciones, y las pongan en práctica.
12 This is the law of the temple: its whole surrounding area on the mountain top shall be most sacred.	12 Este es el fuero del Templo: En la cumbre del monte, todo el territorio en su ámbito es santísimo. (Tal es el fuero del Templo.)»
13 These were the measurements of the altar in cubits of one cubit plus a handbreadth. Its base was one cubit high and one cubit deep, with a rim around its edges of one span. The height of the altar itself was as follows:	13 Y estas son las dimensiones del altar en codos de codo y palmo: su cavidad, un codo por un codo de ancha. 16 The hearth was a square: twelve cubits long and twelve cubits wide.	16 El fóculo medía doce codos de largo por doce codos de ancho: era cuadrado por sus cuatro lados.
17 The upper ledge was also a square: fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits wide. The lower ledge, likewise a square, was sixteen cubits long and sixteen cubits wide, with a half-cubit rim surrounding it. And there was a base of one cubit all around. The steps of the altar face the east.	17 Y el zócalo: catorce codos de largo por catorce de ancho: un cuadrado. El reborde todo alrededor: medio codo; y la cavidad, todo alrededor: un codo. 18 Then he said to me: Son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: These are the statutes for the altar when it is set up for the offering of holocausts upon it and for the sprinkling of blood against it.	18 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, así dice el Señor Yahveh: Estas son las disposiciones del altar el día en que sea erigido para ofrecer en él el holocausto y derramar la sangre.
19 Give a young bull as a sin offering to the priests, the Levites who are of the line of Zadok, who draw near me to minister to me, says the Lord GOD.	19 A los sacerdotes levitas - los de la descendencia de Sadoq que se acercan a mí para servirme, oráculo del Señor Yahveh - les darás un novillo en sacrificio por el pecado.
20 Take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim all around. Thus you shall purify it and make atonement for it.	20 Tomarás su sangre, y rociarás los cuatro cuernos, los cuatro ángulos del zócalo y el reborde todo alrededor. Así quitarás el pecado y harás expiación por él.
21 Then take the bull of the sin offering, which is to be burnt in a designated part of the temple, outside the sanctuary.	21 Luego tomarás el novillo del sacrificio por el pecado: se le quemará en una dependencia de la Casa, fuera del Santuario.
22 On the second day present an unblemished he-goat as a sin offering, to purify the altar as was done with the bull.	22 El segundo día, ofrecerás un macho cabrío sin defecto en sacrificio por el pecado y se quitará el pecado del altar como se hizo con el novillo.
23 When you have finished the purification, bring an unblemished young bull and an unblemished ram from the flock,	23 Cuando hayas acabado de quitar el pecado, ofrecerás un novillo sin defecto y un carnero del rebaño sin defecto.
24 and present them before the LORD; the priests shall strew salt on them and offer them to the LORD as holocausts.	24 Los ofrecerás delante de Yahveh, y los sacerdotes les echarán sal y los ofrecerán en holocausto a Yahveh.
25 Daily for seven days you shall offer a he-goat as a sin offering, and a young bull and a ram from the flock, all unblemished, shall be offered	25 Durante siete días ofrecerás el macho cabrío del sacrificio por el pecado, cada día; se hará también el sacrificio del novillo y del carnero sin defecto tomado del rebaño.
26 for seven days. Thus atonement shall be made for the altar, and it shall be purified and dedicated.	26 Así, durante siete días se hará la expiación del altar, se le purificará y se le consagrará.
27 And when these days are over, from the eighth day on, the priests shall offer your holocausts and peace offerings on the altar. Then I will accept you, says the Lord GOD.	27 Pasados estos días, desde el octavo en adelante, los sacerdotes ofrecerán sobre el altar vuestros holocaustos y vuestros sacrificios de comunión. Y yo os seré propicio, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.
