1 On the twelfth day of the tenth month in the tenth year, the word of the LORD came to me:	1 A tizedik esztendőben, a tizedik hónapban, a hónap tizenegyedik napján az Úr ezt a szózatot intézte hozzám:
2 Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.	2 »Emberfia, fordítsd arcodat a fáraó, Egyiptom királya ellen, és jövendölj ellene és egész Egyiptom ellen.
3 Say this to him: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, Great crouching monster amidst your Niles: Who say, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them!"	3 Beszélj és mondd: Így szól az Úr Isten: Íme, ellened fordulok, te fáraó, Egyiptom királya, te nagy sárkány, aki folyóid közepette fekszel és így szólsz: ‘Enyém a folyó, én alkottam önmagamat!’
4 I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your Niles stick to your scales, then draw you up from the midst of your Niles along with all the fish of your Niles sticking to your scales.	4 Kampót teszek állkapcsodra, Pikkelyeidre tapasztom folyóid halait, kihúzlak folyóid közül, téged és minden haladat, amely pikkelyeidhez tapad.
5 I will cast you into the desert, you and all the fish of your Niles; You shall fall upon the open field, you shall not be taken up or buried; To the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air I give you as food,	5 Kivetlek a sivatagba, téged és folyódnak minden halát; a föld színére zuhansz, nem szednek össze, sem egybe nem gyűjtenek téged; a föld vadállatainak s az ég madarainak adlak, hogy felfaljanak.
6 That all who dwell in Egypt may know that I am the LORD. Because you have been a reed staff for the house of Israel:	6 Akkor megtudja majd Egyiptomnak minden lakója, hogy én vagyok az Úr! Mivel nádból való támasza vagy Izrael házának,
7 When they held you in hand, you splintered, throwing every shoulder out of joint; When they leaned on you, you broke, bringing each one of them down headlong;	7 ha kezükbe vesznek téged, összeroppansz, és megsebzed egész tenyerüket; ha pedig rád támaszkodnak, széttörsz, és szétszaggatod egész veséjüket.
8 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I will bring the sword against you, and cut off from you both man and beast.	8 Azért így szól az Úr Isten: Íme, kardot bocsátok rád és megölök benned embert és állatot,
9 The land of Egypt shall become a desolate waste; thus they shall know that I am the LORD. Because you said, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them,"	9 és Egyiptom földje pusztasággá lesz és sivataggá; akkor megtudják majd, hogy én vagyok az Úr. Mivel így szóltál: ‘Enyém a folyó, én alkottam azt!’ –
10 therefore see! I am coming at you and against your Niles; I will make the land of Egypt a waste and a desolation from Migdol to Syene, and even to the frontier of Ethiopia.	10 azért íme, ellened fordulok és folyóid ellen. Egyiptom földjét sivataggá teszem, mert kard pusztítja majd el a torony pusztájától Sziéné határáig.
11 No foot of man or beast shall pass through it; they shall not pass through it, and it will be uninhabited for forty years.	11 Nem megy rajta keresztül ember lába, sem állat lába nem jár rajta, és nem lakják majd negyven esztendőn keresztül.
12 I will make the land of Egypt the most desolate of lands, and its cities shall be the most deserted of cities for forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and strew them over foreign lands.	12 Pusztasággá teszem Egyiptom földjét az elpusztított országok között, és városait az elpusztított városok között; romokká lesznek negyven esztendőn keresztül, és szétszórom Egyiptomot a nemzetek közé, és elszélesztem őket az országokba.
13 Yet thus says the Lord GOD: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they are scattered,	13 Mert így szól az Úr Isten: Negyven esztendő múlva egybegyűjtöm Egyiptomot a népek közül, amelyek közé szétszórtam őket;
14 and I will restore Egypt's fortune, bringing them back to the land of Pathros, the land of their origin, where it will be the lowliest	14 és visszaviszem Egyiptom foglyait és letelepítem őket Patrosz földjén, az ő szülőföldjükön, s ott jelentéktelen országgá lesznek.
15 of kingdoms, never more to set itself above the nations. I will make them few, that they may not dominate the nations.	15 A többi ország között a legjelentéktelenebb lesz, és nem emelkedik fel többé a nemzetek fölé; megkurtítom számukat, hogy ne uralkodjanak a nemzetek fölött.
16 No longer shall they be for the house of Israel to trust in, but the living reminder of its guilt for having turned to follow after them. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	16 Izrael háza nem fog többé azokban bízni, akik gonoszságra tanították, hogy tőlem elpártoljanak és őket kövessék; akkor megtudják, majd hogy én, az Úr vagyok az Isten!«
17 On the first day of the first month in the twenty-seventh year, the word of the LORD came to me:	17 Történt pedig a huszonhetedik esztendőben, az első hónap első napján, hogy az Úr ezt a szózatot intézte hozzám:
18 Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has led his army in an exhausting campaign against Tyre. Their heads became bald and their shoulders were galled; but neither he nor his army received any wages from Tyre for the campaign he led against it.	18 »Emberfia, Nebukadnezár, Babilon királya nehéz szolgálatra kényszerítette hadseregét Tírusz ellen; minden fej belekopaszodott és minden váll lehorzsolódott; bért pedig nem kapott sem ő, sem a hadserege Tírusz miatt azért a szolgálatért, amit nekem tett ellene.
19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I am now giving the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. He shall carry off its riches, plundering and pillaging it for the wages of his soldiers, who did it for me;	19 Ezért így szól az Úr Isten: Íme, én Egyiptom földjére vezetem Nebukadnezárt, Babilon királyát, s ő majd elhurcolja annak sokaságát, elveszi prédáját és elragadja zsákmányát. Ez lesz hadseregének bére
20 as payment for his toil I have given him the land of Egypt, says the Lord GOD.	20 azért a fáradságért, amellyel nekem szolgált ellene. Neki adom Egyiptom földjét azért, hogy értem fáradozott – mondja az Úr Isten. –
21 On that day I will make a horn sprout for the house of Israel, and I will cause you to speak out in their midst; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	21 Azon a napon kinő majd Izrael házának a szarva, a te szádat pedig megnyitom közöttük; akkor megtudják majd, hogy én vagyok az Úr!«
