1 Oracle on Tyre: Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for your port is destroyed; From the land of the Kittim the news reaches them.	1 Oráculo sobre Tiro. Ululad, naves de Tarsis, porque ha sido destruida vuestra fortaleza. De vuelta del país de Kittim les ha sido descubierto.
2 Silence! you who dwell on the coast, you merchants of Sidon, Whose messengers crossed the sea	2 Quedad mudos, habitantes de la costa, mercaderes de Sidón, cuyos viajantes atravesaban el mar
3 over the deep waters. The grain of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue, and she the merchant among nations.	3 por las aguas inmensas. La siembra del canal, la siega del Nilo, era su riqueza, y ella era el mercado de las naciones.
4 Shame, O Sidon, fortress on the sea, for the sea has spoken: "I have not been in labor, nor given birth, nor raised young men, nor reared virgins."	4 Avergüénzate, Sidón, porque ha dicho la mar: «No tuve dolores ni di a luz, ni crié mancebos, ni eduqué doncellas».
5 When it is heard in Egypt they shall be in anguish at the news of Tyre.	5 En cuanto se oiga la nueva en Egipto, se dolerán de las nuevas de Tiro.
6 Pass over to Tarshish, wailing, you who dwell on the coast!	6 Pasad a Tarsis, ululad, habitantes de la costa:
7 Is this your wanton city, whose origin is from old, Whose feet have taken her to dwell in distant lands?	7 ¿Es ése vuestro emporio arrogante, de remota antigüedad, cuyos pies le llevaron lejos en sus andanzas?
8 Who has planned such a thing against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, Whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the earth's honored men?	8 ¿Quién ha planeado esto conta Tiro, la coronada cuyos comerciantes eran príncipes, cuyos traficantes eran nobles de la tierra?
9 The LORD of hosts has planned it, to disgrace all pride of majesty, to degrade all the earth's honored men.	9 Es Yahveh Sebaot quien ha planeado profanar el orgullo de toda su magnificencia y envilecer a todos los nobles de la tierra.
10 Cross to your own land, O ship of Tarshish; the harbor is no more.	10 Cultiva tu tierra, hija de Tarsis: no hay puerto ya.
11 His hand he stretches out over the sea, he shakes kingdoms; The LORD has ordered the destruction of Canaan's strongholds.	11 Su mano extendió él sobre la mar, hizo estremecer los reinos. Yahveh mandó respecto a Canaán, demoler sus castillos,
12 You shall exult no more, he says, you who are now oppressed, virgin daughter Sidon. Arise, pass over to the Kittim, even there you shall find no rest.	12 y dijo: No vuelvas más a rebullir, doncella oprimida, hija de Sidón. Levántate y vete a Kittim, que tampoco allí tendrás reposo.
13 (This people is the land of the Chaldeans, not Assyria.) She whom the impious founded, setting up towers for her, Has had her castles destroyed, and has been turned into a ruin.	13 Ahí tienes la tierra de los caldeos; no eran un pueblo; Asur la fundó para las bestias del desierto. Levantaron torres de asalto, demolieron sus alcázares, la convirtieron en ruinas.
14 Lament, O ships of Tarshish, for your haven is destroyed.	14 Ululad, naves de Tarsis, porque ha sido destruida vuestra fortaleza.
15 On that day, Tyre shall be forgotten for seventy years. With the days of another king, at the end of seventy years, it shall be for Tyre as in the song about the harlot:	15 Aquel día quedará en olvido Tiro durante setenta años. En los días de otro rey, al cabo de setenta años, le sucederá a Tiro como en la canción de la ramera:
16 Take a harp, go about the city, O forgotten harlot; Pluck the strings skillfully, sing many songs, that they may remember you.	16 «Toma el arpa, rodea la ciudad, ramera olvidada: tócala bien, canta a más y mejor, para que seas recordada».
17 At the end of the seventy years the LORD shall visit Tyre. She shall return to her hire and deal with all the world's kingdoms on the face of the earth.	17 Bien, al cabo de los setenta años visitará Yahveh a Tiro, y ella volverá a su ganancia y se prostituirá a todos los reinos de la tierra sobre la haz de la tierra.
18 But her merchandise and her hire shall be sacred to the LORD. It shall not be stored up or laid away, but from her merchandise those who dwell before the LORD shall eat their fill and clothe themselves in choice attire.	18 Será su mercadería y su ganancia consagrada a Yahveh. No será atesorada ni almacenada, sino que para los que moren delante de Yahveh será su mercadería, para comer a saciedad y para cubrirse espléndidamente.
