Psalms 1

1 Happy those who do not follow the counsel of the wicked, Nor go the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers.	1 Boldog az az ember, aki nem követi a gonoszok tanácsát, nem áll a vétkesek útján, és nem ül le a gúnyolódók gyülekezetében,
2 Rather, the law of the LORD is their joy; God's law they study day and night.	2 hanem az Úr törvényében leli kedvét, s törvényét éjjel-nappal eszében forgatja!
3 They are like a tree planted near streams of water, that yields its fruit in season; Its leaves never wither; whatever they do prospers.	3 Olyan, mint a folyóvíz mellé ültetett fa, amely idejében meghozza gyümölcsét, és amelynek nem hull le a lombja. Boldogul minden dolgában.
4 But not the wicked! They are like chaff driven by the wind.	4 Nem így járnak a gonoszok, nem így, hanem úgy, miként a szálló por, amelyet elsodor a szél.
5 Therefore the wicked will not survive judgment, nor will sinners in the assembly of the just.	5 Ezért a gonoszok meg nem állnak ítéletkor, sem a vétkesek az igazak gyülekezetében.
6 The LORD watches over the way of the just, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.	6 Mert ismeri az Úr az igazak útját, de elvész az istentelenek ösvénye.
