1 When they entered Ecbatana, Tobiah said, "Brother Azariah, lead me straight to our kinsman Raguel." So he brought him to the house of Raguel, whom they found seated by his courtyard gate. They greeted him first. He said to them, "Greetings to you too, brothers! Good health to you, and welcome!" When he brought them into his home,	1 Cuando llegaron a Ecbátana, Tobías dijo: «Hermano Azarías, llévame directamente a la casa de nuestro hermano Ragüel». El ángel lo llevó, y encontraron a Ragüel sentado a la puerta del patio. Ellos lo saludaron primero, y él les respondió: «¡Salud, hermanos, sean bienvenidos!». Y los hizo pasar a su casa.
2 he said to his wife Edna, "This young man looks just like my kinsman Tobit!"	2 Luego dijo a su mujer Edna: «¡Cómo se parece este joven a mi hermano Tobit!».

5 They answered, "Yes, he is alive and well." Then Tobiah exclaimed, "He is my father!"	5 «Vive todavía y está bien», le dijeron. Y Tobías agregó: «Es mi padre».
6 Raguel sprang up and kissed him, shedding tears of joy.	6 Ragüel se levantó de un salto, lo besó y lloró.
7 But when he heard that Tobit had lost his eyesight, he was grieved and wept aloud. He said to Tobiah: "My child, God bless you! You are the son of a noble and good father. But what a terrible misfortune that such a righteous and charitable man should be afflicted with blindness!" He continued to weep in the arms of his kinsman Tobiah.	7 Después le dijo: «¡Bendito seas, hijo mío! Tienes un padre excelente. Es una gran desgracia que un hombre tan justo y generoso haya quedado ciego». Y echándose al cuello de su hermano Tobías, se puso a llorar.
8 His wife Edna also wept for Tobit; and even their daughter Sarah began to weep.	8 También lloró su mujer Edna y su hija Sara.
9 Afterward, Raguel slaughtered a ram from the flock and gave them a cordial reception. When they had bathed and reclined to eat, Tobiah said to Raphael, "Brother Azariah, ask Raguel to let me marry my kinswoman Sarah."	9 Luego mataron un cordero del rebaño y los recibieron cordialmente. Después de lavarse y bañarse, se pusieron a comer. Entonces Tobías dijo a Rafael: «Hermano Azarías, dile a Ragüel que me dé por esposa a mi hermana Sara».
10 Raguel overheard the words; so he said to the boy: "Eat and drink and be merry tonight, for no man is more entitled to marry my daughter Sarah than you, brother. Besides, not even I have the right to give her to anyone but you, because you are my closest relative. But I will explain the situation to you very frankly.	10 Ragüel lo oyó y dijo al joven: «Come y bebe, y disfruta de esta noche, porque nadie tiene más derecho que tú, hermano, a casarse con mi hija Sara. Ni siquiera yo puedo dársela a otro, ya que tú eres mi pariente más cercano. Pero ahora, hijo mío, te voy a hablar con toda franqueza.
11 I have given her in marriage to seven men, all of whom were kinsmen of ours, and all died on the very night they approached her. But now, son, eat and drink. I am sure the Lord will look after you both." Tobiah answered, "I will eat or drink nothing until you set aside what belongs to me." Raguel said to him: "I will do it. She is yours according to the decree of the Book of Moses. Your marriage to her has been decided in heaven! Take your kinswoman; from now on you are her love, and she is your beloved. She is yours today and ever after. And tonight, son, may the Lord of heaven prosper you both. May he grant you mercy and peace."	11 Ya se la he dado a siete de nuestros hermanos, y todos murieron la primera noche que iban a tener relaciones con ella. Por el momento, hijo mío, come y bebe; el Señor intervendrá en favor de ustedes».
12 Then Raguel called his daughter Sarah, and she came to him. He took her by the hand and gave her to Tobiah with the words: "Take her according to the law. According to the decree written in the Book of Moses she is your wife. Take her and bring her back safely to your father. And may the God of heaven grant both of you peace and prosperity."	12 Pero Tobías le replicó: «No comeré ni beberé hasta que hayas tomado una decisión sobre este asunto». Ragüel le respondió: «¡Está bien! Ella te corresponde a ti según lo prescrito en la Ley de Moisés, y el Cielo decreta que te sea dada. Recibe a tu hermana. Desde ahora, tú eres su hermano y ella es tu hermana. A partir de hoy es tuya para siempre. Que el Señor los asista esta noche, hijo mío, y les conceda su misericordia y su paz».
13 He then called her mother and told her to bring a scroll, so that he might draw up a marriage contract stating that he gave Sarah to Tobiah as his wife according to the decree of the Mosaic law. Her mother brought the scroll, and he drew up the contract, to which they affixed their seals.	13 Ragüel hizo venir a su hija Sara. Cuando ella llegó, la tomó de la mano y se la entregó a Tobías, diciendo: «Recíbela conforme a la Ley y a lo que está prescrito en el Libro de Moisés, que mandan dártela por esposa. Tómala y llévala sana y salva a la casa de tu padre. ¡Que el Dios del cielo los conduzca en paz por el buen camino!»
14 Afterward they began to eat and drink.	14 Después llamó a la madre y le pidió que trajera una hoja de papiro. En ella redactó el contrato matrimonial, por el que entregaba a su hija como esposa de Tobías, conforme a lo prescrito en la Ley de Moisés. Después empezaron a comer y a beber.
15 Later Raguel called his wife Edna and said, "My love, prepare the other bedroom and bring the girl there."	15 Ragüel llamó a su esposa Edna y le dijo: «Hermana, prepara la otra habitación, y llévala allí a Sara».
16 She went and made the bed in the room, as she was told, and brought the girl there. After she had cried over her, she wiped away the tears and said:	16 Ella fue a preparar la habitación, como se lo había dicho su esposo, llevó allí a Sara y se puso a llorar. Luego enjugó sus lágrimas y le dijo: «¡Animo, hija mía! ¡Que el Señor del cielo cambie tu pena en alegría!». Y salió.
17 "Be brave, my daughter. May the Lord of heaven grant you joy in place of your grief. Courage, my daughter." Then she left.
