1 I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.	1 Je vis le Seigneur debout près de l’autel; il me dit: “Frappe le chapiteau! Que les poutres s’ébranlent et que le plafond tombe sur leurs têtes à tous. Ceux qui resteront, je les tuerai par l’épée; pas un ne se sauvera, pas un n’échappera.
2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:	2 Même s’ils forçaient le séjour des morts, ma main les en retirerait, s’ils montaient jusqu’aux cieux, je les en ferais descendre.
3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:	3 S’ils se cachaient au sommet du Carmel, j’irais les chercher, je les rattraperais. S’ils se sauvaient devant moi, au plus profond de la mer, je commanderais au Serpent d’y aller pour les mordre.
4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.	4 S’ils s’en vont en captivité devant leurs ennemis, je commanderai à l’épée de partir là-bas pour les tuer; je ne les quitterai pas des yeux, mais ce sera pour leur malheur et non pour leur bonheur.”
5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.	5 Yahvé Sabaot est le Seigneur: s’il touche la terre elle fond, et ceux qui l’habitent se défont. La terre tremble, monte et retombe comme le Nil d’Égypte.
6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.	6 Il a bâti dans les cieux sa demeure et recouvert d’une voûte la terre, il appelle les eaux de la mer et les répand sur la surface de la terre: Yahvé Sabaot est son Nom.
7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?	7 Pour moi, fils d’Israël, vous n’êtes ni plus ni moins que les Kouchites - parole de Yahvé. Tout comme j’ai fait monter Israël du pays d’Égypte, j’ai fait venir les Philistins de Kaftor et les Araméens de Kir.
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.	8 Sachez donc que le Seigneur Yahvé a l’œil sur ce royaume pécheur: je vais l’exterminer de la surface de la terre. Pourtant je ne détruirai pas totalement la maison de Jacob - parole de Yahvé.
9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.	9 Sachez l’ordre que maintenant je donne: je veux secouer la maison d’Israël parmi toutes les nations comme on secoue avec un tamis, sans qu’un seul grain tombe à terre.
10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.	10 Mais ce sera la mort par l’épée pour les pécheurs de mon peuple, pour ceux qui disent: “Tu ne peux faire que le malheur vienne et nous atteigne.”
11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:	11 En ces jours-là je relèverai la hutte délabrée de David, j’en réparerai les brèches et je relèverai ses ruines; je la reconstruirai comme aux jours du passé.
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.	12 Alors ils hériteront de ce qui reste d’Édom et de toutes les nations sur lesquelles mon Nom était invoqué: c’est Yahvé qui le dit et qui le fera.
13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.	13 Voici que des jours viennent - parole de Yahvé, où le laboureur rejoindra le moissonneur et celui qui foule les raisins rattrapera celui qui sème; le jus des raisins ruissellera sur les montagnes, et toutes les collines seront fertiles.
14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.	14 Alors je ramènerai les déportés de mon peuple Israël. Ils reconstruiront les villes en ruines et ils y habiteront, ils planteront des vignes et ils en boiront le vin, ils feront des jardins et ils en mangeront les fruits;
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.	15 je les planterai sur leur terre et ils ne seront plus déracinés, ils ne seront plus arrachés du pays que je leur ai donné - parole de Yahvé ton Dieu.
