1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.	1 E mi fece tornare alla porta della casa, e vidi acque che scaturivano di sotto alla porta della casa, a oriente, che la facciata della casa guardava ad oriente. E le acque scendevano nel lato destro del tempio, a mezzogiorno dell'altare.
2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.	2 E mi fece uscire per la porta settentrionale, e mi fece fare il giro di fuori fino alla porta esteriore, che guardava l'oriente, e vidi acque che sgorgavano dal lato destro.
3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ancles.	3 E l'uomo andò verso oriente, e, tenendo in mano una corda, misurò mille cubiti, mi fece passare per l'acqua, e (l'acqua arrivava) fino alla noce del piede.
4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.	4 Ne misurò altri mille, e mi fece passar l'acqua, (che arrivava) ai ginocchi.
5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.	5 E ne misurò altri mille, e mi fece passare per l'acqua (che arrivava) alla cintola. E misuratine altri mille (trovò) un torrente che io non potei passare, perchè le acque di questo profondo torrente erano così alte da non potersi passare a guado.
6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.	6 E mi disse: « Senza dubbio, o figlio dell'uomo, hai veduto ». E mi fece andar via, poi mi fece tornare alla ripa del torrente.
7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.	7 Ed essendo tornato, io vidi sulla ripa del torrente un numero oltremodo grande di alberi, dal'una e dall'altra parte.
8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.	8 E mi disse: « Queste acque che corrono verso i cumuli di sabbia d'oriente, e scendono alla pia­nura del deserto, entreranno nel mare e ne usciranno, e le acque diverranno sane.
9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.	9 Ed ogni ani­male vivente che si muove, dovunque passerà il torrente avrà vita, e i pesci saranno in grande abbondanza dopo che saranno arrivate queste acque, e tutto ciò che sarà toccato da questo torrente avrà sanità e vita.
10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.	10 E sopra queste acque staranno i pescatori: da Engaddi ad Engallim si metteranno ad asciugare le reti. Vi saranno pesci di moltissime specie, e in grandissima abbondanza, come i pesci del gran mare.
11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.	11 Ma nelle sue spiagge e nei luoghi paludosi non saranno sanate (le acque), perchè saran ridotte a saline.
12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.	12 E lungo il torrente, sulle sue ripe, dall'una e dall'al­tra parte, crescerà ogni albero fruttifero: da essi non cadrà fo­glia, in essi non mancheranno i frutti: ogni mese darà nuovi frut­ti, perchè le sue acque usciranno dal santuario; e i loro frutti serviranno di cibo, e le loro foglie per medicina ».
13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.	13 Così parla il Signore Dio: « Questi sono i confini dentro i quali voi possederete la terra (di­visa) alle dodici tribù d'Israele: Giuseppe ha doppia porzione.
14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.	14 Ciascuno di voi, come il suo fratello, possederà questa terra, sopra la quale alzai la mia mano (giurando) di darla ai vostri padri, e questa terrà verrà in vostro possesso.
15 And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;	15 Ecco adunque i confini della terra: a settentrione: dal mare grande, la via Retaion per andare a Sedada,
16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazar-hatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.	16 Ernat, Berota, Sabarim, tra la frontiera di Damasco e la frontiera di Emat; la casa di Ticon, che è sui confini di Auran.
17 And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.	17 Questi saranno i confini: dal mare all'atrio di Enon, il confine di Damasco, da settentrione a settentrione: Emat il confine dal lato settentrionale.
18 And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.	18 Or nel iato orientale: di mezzo all'Auram e di mezzo a Damasco, e di mezzo a Galaad, e di mezzo alla terra d'Israele. Il Giordano farà da confine fino al mare orientale. Misurerete anche la parte orientale.
19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.	19 E la parte meridionale: da Tamar fino alle Acque di Contraddizione in Cades, e dal torrente fino al mare grande: questo è il lato australe, al mezzogiorno.
20 The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.	20 E il lato del mare: il mare grande, dal suo confine in linea retta fino all'entrata di Emat: questo è il lato del mare.
21 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.	21 E vi dividerete questa terra secondo le tribù d'Israele.
22 And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.	22 E la tirerete a sorte per vostra eredità e dei forestieri che si uniranno a voi e genereranno in mezzo a voi dei figlioli e saran per voi come indigeni tra i figli d'Israele: essi con voi divideranno il possesso in mezzo alle tribù d'Israele.
23 And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord GOD.	23 In qualunque tribù sia il forestiero ivi gli darete il possesso -— dice il Signore Dio».
