1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,	1 E il Signore parlommi, e disse:
2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:	2 Figliuolo dell'uomo dì al principe di Tiro; Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Perchè si è innalzato il cuor tuo, ed hai detto: Io sono un Dio, e sul trono sono assiso qual Dio in mezzo al mare; mentre tu se' un uomo, e non un Dio, e ti se' attribuitamente, quasi mente di un Dio:
3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:	3 Ecco che tu se' più saggio di Daniele: nissun arcano e ascoso a te.
4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:	4 Tu ti se' fatto forte colla tua sapienza, e prudenza, e riponesti oro, ed argento ne' tuoi tesori.
5 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:	5 Colla tua molta sapienza, e colla tua mercatura hai accresciuta la tua potenza, e il cuor tuo si è innalzato a motivo di tua robustezza.
6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;	6 Per questo così dice il Signore Dio: Dappoiché il tuo cuore si è innalzato, come se fosse cuore di un Dio;
7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.	7 Ecco, che io perciò condurrò contro di te degli stranieri fortissimi tralle nazioni, e sguaineranno le spade loro contro la tua bella saggezza, e oscureranno il tuo splendore.
8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.	8 Ti uccideranno, e ti getteranno per terra, e morrai della morte di quegli, che sono uccisi in mezzo al mare.
9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.	9 Parlerai tu forse, e dirai dinanzi a' tuoi uccisori, io sono un Dio; mentre tu se' un uomo dato in potere di quegli, che ti torranno la vita, e non un Dio?
10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.	10 Morrai della morte degl'incirconcisi per man di stranieri; perchè io ho parlato, dice il Signore Dio.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	11 E il Signore parlommi, e disse: Figliuolo dell'uomo intuona lugubre cantico sopra il re di Tiro;
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.	12 E gli dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Tu sigillo di somiglianza, pieno di sapienza, e perfetto in bellezza,
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.	13 Tu vivevi tralle delizie del paradiso di Dio: sul tuo vestimento era ogni sorta di pietre preziose, il sardio, il topazio, e l'iaspide, il crisolito, e l'oniche, e il berillo, il saffiro, il carbonchio, e lo smeraldo, e l'oro, che ti da va splendore, e gli strumenti musicali furon pronti per te nel giorno di tua creazione.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.	14 Tu Cherubino, che le ali stende, e adombra; e io ti collocai nel santo monte di Dio: tu camminavi in mezzo alle pietre (preziose), che gettavan fuoco.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.	15 Perfetto nelle tue vie dal giorno,in cui fosti creato, fino a tanto che in te si trovò iniquità.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.	16 Nell'ampiezza del tuo traffico si riempì il tuo interno d'iniquità, e tu peccasti, ed io ti discacciai dal monte di Dio; e te Cherubino protettore spogliai delle pietre preziose, che avevano splendor di fuoco.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.	17 Perocché il tuo cuore si innalzò dnella tua magnificenza: la saggezza perdesti, insieme, e la magnificenza: io ti gittai per terra: ti esposi agli occhi dei re, affinchè ti mirassero.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.	18 Col gran numero di tue iniquità, e cogl'ingiusti tuoi traffichi contaminasti col tuo santuario: io adunque di mezzo a te farò nascere un fuoco, che ti divori, e ti ridurrò in cenere sulla terra dinanzi a tutti coloro, che han gli occhi sopra di te.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.	19 Tutti quegli d'altre nazioni, che ti vedranno, resteran commossi per causa tua: tu se' ridotto al niente, e in perpetuo non sarai più.
20 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	20 E il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
21 Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,	21 Figliuolo dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia contro Sidone, e profeta sopra di lei,
22 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.	22 E dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Sidone, ed io sarò glorificato in mezzo a te: imperocché conosceran, ch'io sono il Signore, allorché farò giudizio di lei, e farò in lei risplendere la mia santità.
23 For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.	23 Io manderò a lei la pestilenza, e il sangue inonderà le sue piazze, e cadranno gli uomini in mezzo a lei uccisi di spada in ogni parte, e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.
24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.	24 Ed ella non sarà più d'inciampo, e di amarezza alla casa d'Israele, né spina, che fa dolore saranno quei, che d'ogni parte lo attorniano, e a lui sono infesti: e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.
25 Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.	25 Queste cose il Signore Dio: Quando io avrò raunata la casa d'Israele di mezzo a' popoli, tra' quali la ho dispersa, io farò in lei conoscere la mia santità dinanzi alle nazioni: ed ella abiterà nella sua terrà data da me a Giacobbe mio servo.
26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.	26 E vi abiteranno scevri di timore, e fabbricheranno case, e pianteranno vigne, e viveranno tranquilli, allorché io avrò fatto giudizio di tutti i confinanti, che son loro nemici; e conosceran ch'io sono il Signore Dio loro.
