Jeremiah 30

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,	1 Parola indirizzata dal Signore a Geremia, in questi termini:
2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.	2 « Ecco quanto dice il Signore, Dio d'Israele: Scrivi in un libro tutte le parole che ti ho detto;
3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.	3 perchè ecco che vengono i giorni — dice il Signore — ed io farò ritornare gli esuli del mio popolo d'Israele e di Giuda — dice il Signore — li farò tornare alla terra da me data ai loro padri ed essi la possederanno.
4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.	4 E queste sono le parole che il Signore ha pronunziate riguardo a Israele e a Giuda:
5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.	5 Così parla il Signore: Abbiamo sentite1 grida di terrore: v'è lo spavento e non la pace.
6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?	6 Domandate e cercate se un maschio partorisce. E perchè dunque io ho veduti tutti gli uomini colle mani ai loro fianchi, a guisa di partorienti, e tutte le facce son divenute pallide?
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.	7 Ahi! Che grande è quel giorno, non ve n'è un altro simile a quello: è il tempo della tribolazione di Giacobbe, dalla quale però sarà salvato.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:	8 E in quel giorno — dice il Signore degli eserciti — io spezzerò il suo giogo (toltolo) dal tuo collo e romperò le sue legature, e non ti domineranno più gli stranieri;
9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.	9 ma essi serviranno al Signore loro Dio e a David loro re, che io loro susciterò.
10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.	10 Tu dunque non temere, o mio servo Giacobbe, — dice il Signore — non ti spaventare, o Israele, perchè ecco io trarrò in salvo te da una terra lontana, e la tua stirpe dalla terra del suo esilio, e Giacobbe tornerà e si riposerà, sarà ricolmo di tutti i beni e non avrà chi temere.
11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.	11 Perchè io son teco — dice il Signore — per salvarti; io annienterò tutte le nazioni fra le quali ti dispersi: non ridurrò te al niente, ma ti castigherò con giustizia, chè tu non abbia a credere d'essefe innocente.
12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.	12 Ecco infatti quanto dice il Signore: La tua ferita è incurabile, la tua piaga è maligna;
13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.	13 non c'è chi s'interessi di te per fasciare, non ci son medicine che ti giovino;
14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.	14 tutti i tuoi amanti ti han dimenticata, e non ti cercheranno, perchè io ti ho percossa con piaga di nemico, con castigo crudele; per la moltitudine delle tue iniquità son giunti all'indurimento i tuoi peccati.
15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.	15 E perchè gridi per i tuoi strazi? Il tuo dolore è senza rimedio: per la moltitudine delle tue iniquità e per l'indurimento nei tuoi peccati t'ho fatto questo.
16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.	16 Ma tutti quelli che ti divorano saran divorati; tutti i tuoi nemici saran fatti schiavi; quelli che ti han devastata saran devastati, e tutti i tuoi saccheggiatori li abbandonerò al saccheggio.
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.	17 Io fascerò la tua cicatrice, io ti guarirò dalle tue ferite, — dice il Signore — perchè ti han chiamata la ripudiata, Sion di cui nessuno si prende pensiero.
18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.	18 Queste cose dice il Signore: — Ecco io farò tornare al loro posto le tende di Giacobbe, e avrò compassione delle sue case. La città sarà riedificata sulla sua collina, il tempio sarà ricostituito con tutte le sue parti,
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.	19 e ne usciranno canti di lode e gridi d'allegrezza. Io li moltiplicherò e non diminuiranno, li glorificherò e non saranno umiliati.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.	20 I suoi figli saranno come da principio, la loro adunanza sarà stabile dinanzi a me, ed io punirò tutti i suoi oppressori.
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.	21 Da lui verrà il suo Condottiero, di mezzo a lui spunterà il Principe; io lo farò avvicinare, ed Egli s'accosterà a me. E chi è mai colui che possa disporre il suo cuore in modo da avvicinarsi a me? — dice il Signore —
22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.	22 E voi sarete mio popolo, ed io sarò vostro Dio.
23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.	23 Ecco il turbine del Signore, il furore erompente, la buferi impetuosa piomberà sul capo degli empi.
24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.	24 E il Signore non cesserà dall'ira furibonda, finché non abbia eseguiti e compiuti i disegni del suo cuore. Alla fine dei tempi li comprenderete.
