Isaiah 62

1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.	1 Per amor di Sionne io non tacerò, e per amor di Gerusalemme io non mi darò posa, fino a tanto che il suo Giusto nasca come la luce del dì, e il suo Salvatore qual face ardente risplenda;
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.	2 Perocché le genti vedranno il tuo Giusto, e tutti i regi il tuo (re) glorioso: e sarà imposto a te un nome nuovo, cui la bocca del Signore dichiarerà.
3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.	3 E tu sarai corona di gloria nella mano del Signore, e un diadema reale nella mano del tuo Dio.
4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.	4 Tu non sarai detta più, La ripudiata; e la tua terra non sarà detta più, La desolata; ma tu sarai detta, La amata da me; e la tua terra dirassi. La popolata. Perocché il Signore si è in te compiaciuto; e la tua terra sarà abitata;
5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.	5 Imperocché come coabita un giovine con una vergine, così abiteranno teco i tuoi figli: e come il gaudio dello sposo è la sposa, così sarai tu il gaudio del tuo Dio.
6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,	6 Sulle tue mura, o Gerusalemme, ho disposti i custodi, per tutto il dì, e per tutta quanta la notte non taceranno giammai. Voi, che del Signore fate memoria, non tacete.
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.	7 E non istate in silenzio, sino a tantoche egli stabilisca Gerusalemme, e gloriosa la renda sopra la terra.
8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:	8 Il Signore ha giurato per la sua destra, e pel suo braccio forte: io non darò il tuo grano in cibo a' tuoi nemici: e gli stranieri non beranno più il tuo vino, che a te costa fatiche.
9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.	9 Perocché quegli, che raccolgono il grano, mangeranno, e benediranno il Signore; e quei, che vendemmiano, beveranno nell'atrio mio santo.
10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.	10 Uscite, uscite fuor delle porte, preparate la via al popolo, agevolate il cammino, toglietene i sassi, e alzate a' popoli il segnale.
11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.	11 Ecco, che il Signore ha fatto udir questa voce fino alle estremità della terra; dite alla figliuola di Sion: Ecco, che viene il tuo Salvatore? ecco, che egli ha seco la sua ricompensa, e il premio dell'opera sua ha egli dinanzi a se.
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.	12 E saran chiamati: Il popolo santo, i redenti del Signore. E tu sarai chiamata: Città di concorso, e non derelitta.
