1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,	1 En la première année de Cyrus, roi de Perse, la parole de Yahvé proclamée par Jérémie s’accomplit: Yahvé éveilla l’esprit de Cyrus, roi de Perse. De vive voix, mais aussi par écrit, Cyrus fit proclamer ceci dans tout son royaume:
2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.	2 “Ainsi parle Cyrus, roi de Perse: Yahvé, le Dieu des Cieux, m’a donné tous les royaumes de la terre; et voici qu’il me charge de reconstruire son temple à Jérusalem de Juda.
3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.	3 Que Dieu soit avec ceux qui appartiennent à son peuple et qui monteront à Jérusalem de Juda pour reconstruire le Temple de Yahvé Dieu d’Israël: c’est le Dieu qui est à Jérusalem.
4 And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.	4 Quel que soit l’endroit où ils se trouvent, les gens de la région où habitent les survivants leur fourniront de l’argent, de l’or, des biens, du bétail, ainsi que des offrandes volontaires pour le Temple de Dieu qui est à Jérusalem.”
5 Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.	5 Alors les chefs de famille de Juda et de Benjamin, les prêtres et les lévites, tous ceux dont Dieu avait ouvert l’esprit pour aller reconstruire le Temple de Yahvé à Jérusalem, se mirent en route.
6 And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered.	6 Tous ceux qui les entouraient leur apportèrent leur aide de toutes sortes de façons: en leur donnant de l’argent, de l’or, des biens, du bétail, des objets précieux en quantité, en plus des offrandes volontaires.
7 Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods;	7 Le roi Cyrus prit les objets du Temple de Yahvé que Nabukodonozor avait enlevés de Jérusalem et qu’il avait placés dans le temple de son dieu.
8 Even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.	8 Cyrus roi de Perse les fit enlever par Mithridate, le trésorier, qui les compta devant Chechbassar, prince de Juda.
9 And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives,	9 Voici leur liste: 30 bassins d’or, 1 000 bassins d’argent, 29 couteaux,
10 Thirty basons of gold, silver basons of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand.	10 30 coupes d’or, 410 coupes d’argent de seconde qualité, 1 000 autres objets.
11 All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up with them of the captivity that were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.	11 Il y avait en tout 5 400 objets d’or et d’argent; Chechbassar emporta tout cela au moment du retour des exilés de Babylone à Jérusalem.
