1 Chronicles 9

1 So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.	1 Cuando fueron deportados a Babilonia por sus infidelidades, todos los israelitas estaban registrados en las listas genealógicas y en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.
2 Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.	2 Los primeros que volvieron a habitar en sus propiedades y ciudades fueron israelitas, sacerdotes, levitas y empleados del Templo.
3 And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;	3 En Jerusalén habitaron descendientes de Judá, de Benjamín, de Efraím y de Manasés.
4 Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.	4 De los descendientes de Judá: Utai, hijo de Amihud, hijo de Omrí, hijo de Imrí, hijo de Baní, de los hijos de Peres, hijo de Judá.
5 And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.	5 De los silonitas: Asaías, el primogénito, y sus hijos.
6 And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.	6 De los hijos de Zéraj: Ieuel y sus hermanos: 690 en total.
7 And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,	7 De los descendientes de Benjamín: Salú, hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Hodavías, hijo de Hasnuá;
8 And Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephathiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;	8 Ibneías, hijo de Ierojam; Elá, hijo de Uzí, hijo de Micrí; y Mesulam, hijo de Sefatías, hijo de Reuel, hijo de Ibnías,
9 And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.	9 con sus hermanos, según sus listas genealógicas: 956 en total. Todos estos eran jefes de sus respectivas familias.
10 And of the priests; Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,	10 De los sacerdotes: Iedaías, Iehoiarib, Iaquím;
11 And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;	11 Azarías, hijo de Jilquías, hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Meraiot, hijo de Ajitub, prefecto de la Casa de Dios;
12 And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasiai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;	12 Adaías hijo de Ierojam, hijo de Pasjur, hijo de Malquías; Masai, hijo de Adiel, hijo de Iajzerá, hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Mesilemit, hijo de Imer;
13 And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.	13 y sus hermanos, jefes de sus respectivas familias; 1.760 hombres para el culto de la Casa de Dios.
14 And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;	14 De los levitas: Semaías, hijo de Jasub, hijo de Azricam, hijo de Jasabías, de los hijos de Merarí;
15 And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;	15 Bacbacar, Heres, Galal y Matanías, hijo de Micá, hijo de Zicrí, hijo de Asaf;
16 And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.	16 Abdías, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Galal, hijo de Iedutún; y Berequías, hijo de Asá, hijo de Elcaná, que habitaba en los poblados de los netofatíes.
17 And the porters were, Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chief;	17 Los porteros eran Salúm, Acub, Talmón, Ajimán y sus hermanos. Salúm era su jefe,
18 Who hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.	18 y ellos están hasta el presente junto a la puerta del rey, al este. Los porteros del campamento de los hijos de Leví fueron:
19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.	19 Salúm, hijo de Coré, hijo de Ebiasaf, hijo de Córaj, y sus hermanos los corajitas, de la misma familia. Ellos se ocupan del culto como guardianes de los umbrales de la Carpa, porque sus padres habían tenido a su cargo la guardia de acceso al campamento del Señor.
20 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the Lord was with him.	20 Antiguamente, su jefe había sido Pinjás, hijo de Eleazar. ¡Que el Señor esté con él!
21 And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.	21 Zacarías, hijo de Meselemías, era portero de la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro.
22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.	22 En total de los elegidos como porteros de los umbrales era de 212, y estaban inscritos en sus poblados. David y Samuel, el vidente, los habían establecido en sus cargos permanentemente.
23 So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the Lord, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.	23 Tanto ellos como sus hijos tenían bajo su custodia la entrada de la Carpa, es decir, de la Casa del Señor.
24 In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.	24 Había porteros en los cuatro puntos cardinales: al este, al oeste, al norte y al sur.
25 And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.	25 Sus hermanos, que habitaban en sus poblados, tenían que ir periódicamente a estar con ellos durante siete días.
26 For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.	26 Los cuatro jefes de los porteros, en cambio, estaban de servicio permanentemente. Estos eran los levitas y tenían a su cargo las cámaras y los tesoros de la Casa de Dios.
27 And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.	27 Pasaban la noche alrededor de la Casa de Dios, porque estaban encargados de custodiarla y tenían que abrirla todas las mañanas.
28 And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.	28 Algunos de ellos tenían el cuidado de los utensilios del culto, y los contaban cada vez que los ponían y los sacaban.
29 Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.	29 Otros tenían a su cuidado los utensilios, todos los vasos sagrados, la harina de las ofrendas, el vino, el aceite, el incienso y los aromas.
30 And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.	30 Pero los que hacían la mezcla de los perfumes aromáticos eran sacerdotes.
31 And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.	31 Matatías, uno de los levitas, el primogénito de Salúm, el coreíta, estaba en cargado permanentemente de las ofrendas que se freían en la sartén.
32 And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.	32 Entre los quehatitas, sus hermanos, algunos estaban encargados de preparar cada sábado los panes de la ofrenda.
33 And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.	33 También había cantores, jefes de familias levíticas, que vivían en las habitaciones del templo, exentos de todo otro servicio, porque se ocupaban día y noche de su ministerio.
34 These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.	34 Estos son, según sus listas genealógicas, los jefes de las familias levíticas que habitaban en Jerusalén.
35 And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife's name was Maachah:	35 En Gabaón habitaban Abí Gabaón y Ieiel, cuya mujer se llamaba Maacá.
36 And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,	36 Su hijo primogénito fue Abdón, y los otros, Sur, Quis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.	37 Guedor, Ajió, Zacarías y Miclot.
38 And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.	38 Miclot fue padre de Simam. También estos habitaban en Jerusalén, lo mismo que sus hermanos.
39 And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.	39 Ner fue padre de Quis. Quis fue padre de Saúl, Saúl fue padre de Jonatán, de Malquisúa, de Abinadab y de Esbaal.
40 And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begat Micah.	40 El hijo de Jonatán fue Meribaal. Meribaal fue padre de Micá.
41 And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.	41 Los hijos de Micá fueron Pitón, Mélec, Tajrea
42 And Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;	42 y Ajaz. Ajaz fue padre de Iará; Iará fue padre de Alémet, de Azmavet y de Zimrí; Zimrí fue padre de Mosá;
43 And Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.	43 Mosá fue padre de Biná. El hijo de Biná fue Refaías; el hijo de Refaías, Elasá; y el hijo de Elasá, Asel,
44 And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.	44 Asel tuvo seis hijos, que se llamaban Azricam, Bocrú, Ismael, Searías, Abdías y Janán. Estos fueron los hijos de Asel.
