3 Moses therefore and Eleazar the priest, being in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan over against Jericho, spoke to them that were	3 Da redeten Mose und der Priester Eleasar zu den Israeliten in den Steppen von Moab, am Jordan bei Jericho,

21 Moreover the sons of Phares were: Hesron, of whom is the family of the Hesronites: and Hamul, of whom is the family of the Hamulites.	21 Zu den Perezitern gehörten von Hezron die Sippe der Hezroniter und von Hamul die Sippe der Hamuliter.
22 These are the families of Juda, of which the whole number was seventy-six thousand five hundred.	22 Das waren die Sippen Judas mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 76500 Mann.
23 The sons of Issachar, by their kindreds: Thola, of whom is the family of the Tholaites: Phua, of whom is the family of the Phuaites:	23 Zu den Issacharitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Tola die Sippe der Tolaiter, von Puwa die Sippe der Puwaniter,
24 Jasub, of whom is the family of the Jasubites: Semran, of whom is the family of the Semranites.	24 von Jaschub die Sippe der Jaschubiter, von Schimron die Sippe der Schimroniter.

26 The sons of Zabulon by their kindreds: Sared, of whom is the family of the Saredites: Elon, of whom is the family of the Elonites: Jalel, of whom is the family of the Jalelites.	26 Zu den Sebulonitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Sered die Sippe der Serediter, von Elon die Sippe der Eloniter, von Jachleel die Sippe der Jachleeliter.
27 These are the kindreds of Zabulon, whose number was sixty thousand five hundred.	27 Das waren die Sippen der Sebuloniter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 60500 Mann.
28 The sons of Joseph by their kindred, Manasses and Ephraim.	28 Bei den Josefstämmen Manasse und Efraim gehörten folgende Sippen
29 Of Manasses was born Machir, of whom is the family of the Machirites. Machir beget Galaad, of whom is the family of the Galaadites.	29 zu den Manassitern: von Machir die Sippe der Machiriter; Machir zeugte Gilead und von Gilead stammt die Sippe der Gileaditer.

35 And the sons of Ephraim by their kindreds were these: Suthala, of whom is the family of the Suthalaites: Becher, of whom is the family of the Becherites: Thehen, of whom is the family of the Thehenites.	35 Zu den Efraimitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Schutelach die Sippe der Schutelachiter, von Becher die Sippe der Becheriter, von Tahan die Sippe der Tahaniter.
36 Now the son of Suthala was Heran, of whom is the family of the Heranites.	36 Zu den Schutelachitern gehört von Eran die Sippe der Eraniter.
37 These are the kindreds of the sons of Ephraim: whose number was thirty-two thousand five hundred.	37 Das waren die Sippen der Efraimiter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 32500 Mann. Das waren die Josefstämme nach ihren Sippen.
38 These are the sons of Joseph by their families. The sons of Benjamin in their kindreds: Bela, of whom is the family of the Belaites: Asbel, of whom is the family of the Asbelites: Ahiram, of whom is the family of the Ahiramites:	38 Zu den Benjaminitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Bela die Sippe der Belaiter, von Aschbel die Sippe der Aschbeliter, von Ahiram die Sippe der Ahiramiter,

44 The sons of Aser by their kindreds: Jemna, of whom is the family of the Jemnaites: Jessui, of whom is the family of the Jessuites: Brie, of whom is the family of the Brieites.	44 Zu den Ascheritern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Jimna die Sippe der Jimnaiter, von Jischwi die Sippe der Jischwiter, von Beria die Sippe der Beriaiter.
45 The sons of Brie: Heber, of whom is the family of the Heberites: and Melchiel, of whom is the family of the Melchielites.	45 Zu den Beriaitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Heber die Sippe der Heberiter, von Malkiël die Sippe der Malkiëliter.
46 And the name of the daughter of Aser, was Sara.	46 Die Tochter Aschers hieß Serach.
47 These are the kindreds of the sons of Aser, and their number fifty-three thousand four hundred.	47 Das waren die Sippen der Ascheriter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 53400 Mann.
48 The sons of Nephtali by their kindreds: Jesiel, of whom is the family of the Jesielites: Guni, of whom is the family of the Gunites:	48 Zu den Naftalitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Jachzeel die Sippe der Jachzeeliter, von Guni die Sippe der Guniter,
49 Jeser, of whom is the family of the Jeserites: Sellem, of whom is the family of the Sellemites.	49 von Jezer die Sippe der Jezeriter, von Schillem die Sippe der Schillemiter.
50 These are the kindreds of the sons of Nephtali by their families: whose number was forty-five thousand four hundred.	50 Das waren die Sippen Naftalis. Die Zahl der bei ihnen Gemusterten betrug 45400 Mann.
51 This is the sum of the children of Israel, that were reckoned up, six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.	51 Die Gesamtzahl der gemusterten Israeliten betrug 601730 Mann.
52 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	52 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:
53 To these shall the land be divided for their possessions according to the number of names.	53 An diese Männer soll das Land als Erbbesitz verteilt werden, entsprechend der Zahl der verzeichneten Namen.
54 To the greater number thou shalt give a greater portion, and to the fewer a less: to every one, as they have now been reckoned up, shall a possession be delivered :	54 Wer mehr Namen zählt, dem sollst du einen größeren Erbbesitz geben; wer weniger zählt, dem sollst du einen kleineren Erbbesitz geben. Jedem soll sein Erbbesitz entsprechend der Zahl der bei ihm Gemusterten gegeben werden.
55 Yet so that by lot the land be divided to the tribe and families.	55 Doch soll das Land durch das Los verteilt werden und sie sollen ihren Erbbesitz nach den Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter erhalten.
56 Whatsoever shall fall by lot, that shall be taken by the more, or the fewer.	56 Der Erbbesitz soll durch das Los zwischen den großen und den kleinen Stämmen aufgeteilt werden.
57 This also is the number of the sons of Levi by their families: Gerson, of whom is the family of the Gersonites: Caath, of whom is the family of the Caathites: Merari, of whom is the family of the Merarites.	57 Zu den im Stamm Levi Gemusterten gehörten folgende Sippen: von Gerschon die Sippe der Gerschoniter, von Kehat die Sippe der Kehatiter, von Merari die Sippe der Merariter.
58 These are the families of Levi: The family of Lobni, the family of Hebroni, the family of Moholi, the family of Musi, the family of Core. Now Caath beget Amram :	58 Das sind die Sippen Levis: die Sippe der Libniter, die Sippe der Hebroniter, die Sippe der Machliter, die Sippe der Muschiter, die Sippe der Korachiter. Kehat zeugte Amram.

61 Of whom Nadab and Abiu died, when they had offered the strange fire before the Lord.	61 Nadab und Abihu aber waren gestorben, als sie dem Herrn ein unerlaubtes Feueropfer darbrachten.
62 And all that were numbered, were twenty-three thousand males from one month old and upward: for they were not reckoned up among the children of Israel, neither was a possession given to them with the rest.	62 Bei den Leviten wurden im Ganzen 23000 Mann gemustert, alle männlichen Personen im Alter von einem Monat und darüber. Sie wurden aber nicht zusammen mit den Israeliten gemustert; denn ihnen wurde kein Erbbesitz wie den anderen Israeliten gegeben.
63 This is the number of the children of Israel, that were enrolled by Moses and Eleazar the priest, in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan, over against Jericho.	63 Das waren die von Mose und dem Priester Eleasar gemusterten Israeliten, die sie in den Steppen von Moab am Jordan bei Jericho gemustert hatten.
64 Among whom there was not one of them that were numbered before by Moses and Aaron in the desert of Sinai.	64 Unter ihnen war niemand mehr von denen, die Mose und der Priester Aaron in der Wüste Sinai gemustert hatten.
65 For the Lord had foretold that they should die in the wilderness. And none remained of them, but Caleb the son of Jephone, and Josue the son of Nun.	65 Denn über sie hatte der Herr ja gesagt: Sie müssen in der Wüste sterben. Daher war keiner von ihnen am Leben geblieben außer Kaleb, der Sohn Jefunnes, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.
